  • In this video I cover all the 5th level spells available in Solasta, and give my opinion on which are my favorites and which are terrible.
    Bring the authentic Tabletop gaming experience to your PC!
    Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
    In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
    You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
    Key Features:
    An Epic Team Adventure
    Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
    Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
    Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
    Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
    Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
    Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
    The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
    Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
    Dungeon Maker
    In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find - down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing - everything is decided by you.
    Note that the Dungeon Maker is a work in progress and will keep being improved as time goes by, so look forward to more Dungeon Maker features in the future!
    Solasta Free Content Update with the release of Primal Calling
    To celebrate the release of the Primal Calling DLC, we're releasing a free content update for all our players - including a much anticipated higher level cap!
    Level cap increased from level 10 to level 12, unlocking new class features as well as level 6 spells
    Scars and Facial Paints customization options in character creation
    Tired of playing through the tutorial? You can now skip it!
    Rebalanced (harder!) fight at the end of the campaign - prepare for a challenge!
    New Town Exterior & Town Interior Environments for the Dungeon Maker
    New Campaign Creator Feature, allowing custom dungeons to be bundled together into a campaign with custom monsters, custom NPCs & merchants and custom items!

    Mind twist combined with hypno pattern can give you so much control on the field specially on higher difficulty...combine Mind twist with greater invisibility and wreck them

    I think they fixed the banishment. I used it in Lost Valley a lot, and it never ended the battle for me. I was in battle and had to end conscentrating on the spell to bring the enemies back and slay them.

      Hmm really? I will try it again, that stinks if it is true. I know it now matches what the spell is supposed to do, but really saves time when you can banish the fire elementals and combat ends without you having to kill them! Cheers!

      yep that's how it works for me ass well

      I've only used it on extraplanar things and it works correctly for them as of Palace of Ice release. IE if everything else is dead the fight ends and the banished demons die too. On not-demons you have to dispel it then finish them off (I think I was also finishing off Hypnotised critters too). It's just amazing when it is good. Upscaling it to hit multiples makes it fairly consistent.

    I believe they made Mind twist now also damage your allies.
    Slimy doom as a choice for contagion allows you to basically stunlock any boss in the game as long as your hit it once a turn. What they don't say is the target also has to fail a save to suffer the effect. It's still fantastic for some tough fights, to be able to totally suppress someone, as they don't make a save each turn as they do with Hold monster for instance.

      You are 100% on Mind twist. Thanks for the feedback on the contagion spell. Cheers!

    I think they have changed Mind Twist.
    I have used it twice now, and both times it absolutely wrecked my team mates as well, almost killing all of them...

      They did indeed. I plan to update this spell list, to reflect the new spells and the changes. Cheers!

    You should really give Contagion a chance, I use it sparingly on my Life Mage vs tanky enemies. The simple combo I use is Flesh Rot makes enemy vulnerable to All damage and combo with level 3 update of Inflict Wounds, the most I hit was for 118dmg the second 92

    there's a feat that allows the usage of shield .Would you recomend it for a non court wizard or a Sorc?

    • @VaniverseGaming
      @VaniverseGaming  Před rokem +1

      Yes - If you want to have a higher AC. I find that Mage armor + magic item + Shield do the trick most of the time. However, it is nice to have 20AC on a wizard lol. Cheers!

      Should definitely pick up the feat that gives shield proficiency on any caster that doesn’t have shield proficiency already.
      AC boost keeps your caster alive longer. You don’t roll concentration saves when then enemy misses you.
      Magic shields can be somewhat easily found too.

      @@binolombardi yeah thats true although i think that sometimes the caster can rely on alternatives such as invisibility or just keep distance

      @@binolombardi it depends although how u you use ur caster . I generaly try not to aggro at first turn , trying to use only buffs

    How should you do a build to minimize the chance of losing concentration?

    • @VaniverseGaming
      @VaniverseGaming  Před rokem

      At level 4 choose "Flawless Concentration" as a feat. Also having a high constitution helps as well. You need to role a 10 or better on a constitution saving throw, so having a high constitution will a higher modifier. Lastly look for races or classes that may grant you advantage on constitution saving throws. Cheers!

    • @binolombardi
      @binolombardi Před rokem

      Low level flawless concentration wins. The negation of rolling a save for damage less than 21 is nice, and the advantage afterward helps.
      It’s not quite as effective but I usually choose the +1 constitution and constitution save proficiency.
      There will come a time where you’re hit by a crit or high level spell that deals ridiculous damage and the advantage won’t help. Having a higher ceiling on your roll while standing near a paladin will be the only way to have a chance to pass that concentration save.
