Hey Slacker, I'm so with ya man. Your excitement and appreciation for that beautiful bar is palpable and I am way happy for you. I just started my stack with 10 oz. Sunshine Mint bars. Got 'em on a sale promotion from JM Bullion. Anticipating stacking higher and higher.
Excited i got one today vs your advice passed 900 ounces today with this buy yes i must slow down focus now as you suggested on bars low premium stuff but love the engelhard hope to snag some and reach my 1000 ounce goal not big in your terms but as investor in. So many things feels good to invest in money and current fear i feel will get silver a lot higher thank for all your time and education
What a fantastic big bar! I love that it's got a great story behind it :) I'll certainly keep my eyes open for you in case i see any more of them or read anything else about them ;)
Very nice! What a pickup! Nice to see old poured and rare bars. I had never seen that one before. The CC on the lower center stands for Continental Coin and the bar was probably used for their products as they were purchased from the Assay Office. Very nice.
Yup that is when I found out about this bar when I was trying to track it down. Continental Coin released all of the bars and rounds that say US Assay Stockpile on them. I just wish I could find out how many of the poured bars were produced. I see the struck bars and rounds sold pretty often, just not these poured ones.
Your welcome! Yeah I would love a book of silver bars that had information about them. This bar is killer and I didn't even know a poured variety existed if it wasn't for just happening across a sold listing on APMEX.
I just tapped out on the lunars you got me into. $2000 of 5 and 10 oz back to ox so some real good ones thanks for your lead on all this i feel very good about my little 1200 oz. stack compared to your great collection
Wow... What a great score. I've seen the stamped version of these bars, but never ever seen the poured, thx for sharing it man. To think this bar was once stock piled, with another 160 million ounces, blows my mind. Great price on it to. You should of been paying $7-$10 per ounce over spot. Cracking deal, nicely done my friend, cheers.
As you know i bought this beauty after your intro had a second memory refresh today bought a 50 oz bache bar made about same time not the beauty of this bar but since i worked at bache in 1981 brought back memories bought a 10 oz bache bar too seems these vintage bars should do well
SS, thanks for showing it to us! That bar is way cool! Looks even more delish than a Snickers bar! LOL! just kidding, congrats my friend! Very nice indeed!
Well am i blessed or what got this bar yesterday and silver broke out to upside today gold strong too 18.18 now guess i didnt buy enough glad i got the yeager too thanks for your time and education you very kind
So slacker since you have been my mentor this year i found an amazing bar you need to add as you know i have 2 us assay 100 oz and agree very little compres but the 100 oz poured jm bache bar will become you assay bar main competetitor it look like rhe classic 400 oz gold brick and its just stipunning. Also very rare but unlike the assay bar publihed at allengel at 500 made i bought one missed another im regret before silver moved with your guide my goal in 17 of 1000 oz has become 5000 about 4400 now so starting the very picky stage you will love this bache bar its a real beast to sit next to your assay bar
Ok now,2 years later I come across another great video and thanks(I think)It is April/2016 and I just put my first and probably last kilo bar from Republic to rest in it's safe box at the bank.It kills me not to have this stuff around. So much fun but the stack is for my will so it is what it is. You should do a video like Scrooge McDuck in his money room,Just get a mask and fill the tub. That would be so cool and stand U tube on its ears.I will go and visit the stack soon for a bit of soothing,,,,I did well for others thing. Thanks as always Slacker and stack on.Great fun!
Yeah I know it seems like when they got one in they put it on their website and on ebay. They pulled it from ebay after they sold it on their website it appears. I wish I could buy one of those Gairsoppa bars! Not sure what the premium would be on one, but I'm sure it's ALOT!
That's just amazing! You are certainly the envy of any stacker on earth. And you got a smoking deal too. G, I really appreciate you telling us how much you pay for something. That's the kind of thing that makes you one of the best channels on CZcams. Enjoy your bar. We all did! LOL. Take care, LL
Really nice bar you have there.....congrats. Is that a Carson City mint mark on the front? Sure looks like it to me. That just adds to the cool factor of this bar.
Slacker do you have a view on buying jm or engelgard vintage if price isnt too bad still looking for another poured us assay bar but your love of poured bars got me looking at vintage poured often too expensive but they are nice
NUMI-STACKER Thanks! Yeah I know they have the 10 oz and 1 oz rounds. But this is the only poured bar they made. This is by far the rarest of all their offerings at the time.
Thanks cant see me putting it away just a stunner i agree with you only puzzle i s why so little info on them mintage and more info i was involved in 1981 my company was selling silver i didnt know anything about silver wish i did then ya all other bars pale next to it

An offer figured that mintage was low, I wrote all engel they said they would post my purchase on their site so I have 1 of 1 so excited, error was weight missing 1st series you can see it on their site, but had to thank you for inspiring me my goal of 5000 oz this year about met and feel vintage poured should hold up price wise if spot holds up in this are which igold advisor has me sold on had to tell you about this wild buy it without error has great pour lines you would love thanks for your guide and time
I'm fixing to start collecting and need ur advice on where to start and who to trust to by silver from and everything you need to have to check for fake silver as well. Please respond when u can .I have watched your videos and trust your advice..thanks
My favorite bullion dealers to buy from are Provident Metals, Apmex, and JM Bullion. All those companies are safe to buy from. As far as testing if your silver is real, there is a machine you can buy but it is almost $1,000. You can also do the specific gravity test which I show how to do it here: czcams.com/video/XoKBqFbGeyU/video.html
That is amazing... You ought to take a picture of it and email it into CoinWorld or into Numismatic News with your question... they'll know, or they will know who to ask... it is definitely rare, i have never seen something like that.. super cool
What a great bar. One day I will own a 100 oz bar! Just not going to be any time soon! Just Amazing! I am not into the poured bar look right now but that one is super sexy!

Well i stayed from master slayer guide found a 50 oz very rare engelhard one of less than 100 made to sit next to the 100oz us assay bar is exciting to find a second super rare bar where i strayed was i paid about the same for the 50 oz as the 100oz premium hurt but the rarety is what got me allengelhard says made in 1977 little older than the us assay bar also blew past 2000 oz so maybe not as wild as you but close
Ok new discovery, i agree with you after buying 2 of these, but the 100 oz jm bache bar is my new fav same vintage same event i was there worked for bache the bache bar you would love its like actual brick size i feel like the silver goldfinger
I posted to Stack Master G about one of those 1oz rounds from the assay office.. I found one at a flea market and got it for $0.20 over spot at the time . $17.00. I thought it was just a generic round but after researching it, DAMN I got a deal on that with out knowing.. that bar is awesome.. Funny how silver Calls out to you... buy me.. buy me...
There is a listing of a bar just like yours on eBay right now. I thought I would let you know .It is a poured one just like yours .I hope you pick it up.

Ditto on my fav bar
That is amazing... You ought to take a picture of it and email it into CoinWorld or into Numismatic News with your question... they'll know, or they will know who to ask... it is definitely rare, i have never seen something like that.. super cool
