Slight nuance. You say the brace "isn't good" but what you mean is "doesn't look good". On that we agree, but it could be confusing to people. There's nothing wrong functionality wise with the stock brace. It is ugly, and probably heavy (neither is a good thing). But it definitely gets the job done.
To me, one of my biggest disappointments between the F8X and the G8X. The change from a beautiful OEM Carbon Brace vs that new metal one. On the other hand, you need “Dress Up Bolts” times ASAP!! 😂😂😂

I was able to get the info out of the BMW TIS from a connection

What’s the weight of the OEM brace and the aftermarket one ?
