The Knoxville, Castle Shannon and Penn Inclines were "Vehicular" inclines, designed to take horse drawn wagons up the hills. Later on they could transport automobiles and trucks up those hill. Please note till 1935 the Mongahelia Incline ran a parallel Vehicular incline to its Passenger only Incline.
Johnstown still has its Vehicular Incline and you can take your automobile up and down that incline to this day. The Johnstown Incline US closed in winter but operates from Spring to Christmas each year.

In the movie,ANGELS IN THE OUTFILED (1931) there is a taxicab scene racing on Bigelow Boulevard to Oakand and it passes under the Penn Incline.

Unique is a very specific word, from the Latin, literally meaning 'one only'. It needs no modification and any attempt to do so will be grammatically incorrect.

If you are from Cincinnati, it's pronounce duqakanny or daqanacky incline! Everything sounds weird in Pittsburgh. So happy you have a functional incline x2! That being said we're happy to have a functional sports team nowadays!
    WHO DEY!!!
