Our street bike powered lawn mower is finished! In today's episode, our Suzuki GS450cc lawn mower (basically it's a 450cc go kart) gets painted, we build a custom muffler to fit under the hood and in front of the engine, we fit an intake pod on it to get the engine running better, and we take it to the drag strip to see how fast our racing lawn mower build is in the 1/8th mile!
    Thanks for Watching!

You could have made a canister muffler like they do for snowmobiles. Could have had the exhaust come out the side and go up like a tractor at a tractor pull. And then add one of those propane flame thrower kits for exhausts. That would be one hell of a lawn mower!

When I was 12 I found an old moped for $30 at a garage sale. I talked my mom into letting me buy it and that started my family on our "biker" journey. Dad ended up on a Harley, I ended up on a CB500 chopper, and mom tried to ride a CL350. But, a week after I brought home that old moped, dad had a shiny used GS450 sitting in the driveway. He didn't have it long before he upgraded to a GS650. But, he always said how that 450 was the prettiest "rice burner" he ever owned (It was the '90s). To this day, I still have the old man's Harley and the CL350 that was originally bought for my mom.

Ayyy the cb500 i love that bike that was my buddys first ever bike. his dad rode and built harleys in the army during vietnam. He ended up selling it to a young kid and him and his dad ended up completely decking out the bike. They would send my buddy updates whenever they did something big like paint or chrome. Turned out to be a very nice motorcycle.

@@Greg1096 they're geared way too low, dropping to a smaller sprocket would easily net them a lot more mph, and I bet they'd dip into the 9s or 8s in the 1/8. That tire is so small compared to what it was pushing on a bike.

In the early ‘60’s I raced go karts. We ran McCulloch engines. We had about a 3” tall velocity stack on the carburetor. We used a patch cut from one of my mothers nylon stocking over the velocity stack held on with rubber bands. It was our homemade air cleaner. Worked great. We financed our race team with a paper route and taking empty soda bottles back to stores for the deposit. It’s amazing what a couple 12 year olds can do when they put their minds to it.

Well, there’s one thing that I keep thinking about and have been for a few years. About 15 years ago my father bought an 80’s Suzukis gs 650 from a neighbor (they called it a “low slinger” and I think that was just an random term for them). What I find perplexing is that it had four spark plugs like a 4 cylinder, and the biggest thing was there was no chain or belt, it was shaft driven. Might not have been the fastest flat out but the torque and acceleration was incredible for what it was

I would love to see you guys put one of those chutes runners use to train on the back of that thing. That would put it over the top.

I cant believe none of you considered chrome "stacks"! Just make em slip-fit, so you can remove em to open the hood!

This build is pretty sweet! When this motor goes, I think you should put a bigger one on it though! I would love to see if this thing with a Hayabusa motor on it. Great video though guys.👍🏼🤩🫡❤️

You always want air speed for intake to be cool, dry and steady pressure. This means not getting different pressure from wind and car's speed. Not getting hot air from engine heat. Not getting rain or hose when washing. Cool air is more dense, giving smaller amount of fuel more air in the cylinders. Same goes for fuel. Cold air and cool fuel with strong spark is a happy engine running on less fuel. Oil lasts longer, engine runs cooler. Less pollution as well, especially if fuel injected with CDI ignition.
