My mother bought a new 1957 model from the ad in Popular Mechanics. It shipped from the factory in Athens, OH to us in Nashville, TN, by Railway Express, strapped down on a large pallet. Cut the straps, pour in a gallon of gas, and drive it home! ‘57 was the first year that electric start was standard, but the plywood doors were still optional. Hers had a 9hp Wisconsin engine with the dual centrifugal clutch drivetrain. I got to drive it a lot when I first got my license in ‘62. It was great for delivering my newspaper route. It could get up to 45 mph, downhill, with a tailwind, and could make it up most hills. The manual windshield wiper would keep your left hand busy in the rain.

I have the same toyota forklift, but no data plate, runs good but have been having carburetor problems, am looking into propane, Carb is an Aison DW30A, engine is a 3P, if you get into the brakes, i could sure use some part numbers......its a great little lift in a building !

Do you have to cut the frame for the torque converter

The frame is too short. It needs 6 more inches in length. Issac is way too big! 🤣 Did you guys ever try E85 Ethanol fuel? It burns much cooler than Methanol. The cooler the burn, the more horse power. Methanol burns hotter and much cheaper in price. I wonder if you can turbo charge the Tilison engin🤔? Maybe a 38 m.m. Garrett turbo? Just a thought.

It was good until the end. Those black bars are horrible. You should have left the stock doodle bug bars if you wanted ape hangers. It looks so good with the drag bars. I get it though. Fat guy in a little coat....

You guys should have took like a metal cutting hole saw and cut a hole directly under the oil drain plug so the oil would drain straight into the pan 4 Less cleanup😊
