I’ve watched just about every iteration of this song in the context of the show, albeit mostly on CZcams, but I did have the fortune of seeing the show during Sara’s last stint as Jenna. There have been many unbelievably talented women who have brought their own unique vocal style and nuance to the role. This 11 o’clock number is not only masterful in its vocal demands, but in its storytelling as well. It is a deceptively challenging song in terms of nailing the pitches and intervals, while building to the climax. It’s also challenging to be able to powerfully hit some of these notes, while applying the technique to place them in the vocal register without screaming. In my humble opinion, Alison’s performance here eclipses them all, and is hands down the best Jenna in EVERY department. Brava to this gifted and exquisite actress…this is a masterclass in how to tell a story through song.
@@victordunson719 I'm torn on this... I think I like Allison's singing the best (by a slim margin. Something about the tenderness yet anger in her vocals) - but Sho's acting I feel is superior. It's a tough one.

How many guitars have they all broken in all Waitress musical? Allison is such a talent! I love her performance, wish I could see her full performance in Waitress and The Wicked.
