There's going to be a lot of criticism of England focusing on their batting approach - but for me the biggest issue is how that approach hurts the bowling unit. Giving them only 50 overs of rest will never win you Test matches. Jurel, Jaiswal and co showed England the value of batting TIME, spending hours at the crease. If you do it, you hurt the opposition more.

So, you expect the Close series. No doubt about that!!.. I appreciate England the way they managed with the Resources they had. But they lost on many occasions from better position. So, we must also credit Rohit & co.. for staying calm and cool and grabbing the opportunities. Indeed, England did better on this tour. But still they are confused and stand in between being aggressive and Calm and that's never going to yield them Good Results. They need to distinguish between when to stay calm and when to be aggressive and that's what is beauty of test cricket and same what England Experts said in post match discussion that England should learn from Jurel and Gill. Also, I don't give credit to Shreyas and Patidar. They are straight away Free Roaming wicket for England and India indeed playing all 4 Test Match with only 10 or 9 Players. Indeed, England also played with 10 Players as Bairstow is always busy in pavilion.

I think England's got the potential and the right attitude to play the game along with stokes captaincy but they must learn about the game awareness during crucial passages of the play. They were in control in third test day 2 and here too on day 2 but lack of game awareness put them on backfoot. When chips are down, teams like Australia or India only need a bit of mistakes from their opponents to get back into the game and to crush them, specially when you're playing in their own backyard.

@@XZagatoX Do I need to remind you that we have beaten Aussies four consecutive times in different test series. We're better than Australia. Just because we couldn't win two finals against them, doesn't make us any less. But then again, we've lost finals since 2014 against different teams so this clearly is because of our lack of performance at our highest level on the most important day, not the other way around.

Nice summary of a pulsating game !
    👌👌
Very competitive display by both the teams . The game was decided only towards the last hour or so & nobody could clearly predict the likely winner until stumps at day three. Even pundits here were giving India 60% chance with few subscripts & their forecast lacked confidence . It was obviously so because their heart was more on the side of the nation.
Of course nothing to take away from the heroics of dhruv & shubhman during those last hours- two young men of Indian cricket showed their class as regards calmness & ability to stay at the crease till the very last ensuring series is sealed in India's favour. One positive aspect of IPL that has influenced Indian cricket hugely , these young bloakes want to win the game & they enter the arena with tons of confidence & no fear.
I regularly watch this discussion with two greats dissecting the key moments with their fair & balanced analysis - they talk on finer points & highlight important turning moments . 👌👌
