    I understand what Bazball is now. Its about finishing the game as quick as possible to save time from 5 days to play video games and watch movies. Stokes is really good at it and his 1 wicket and 2 runs from the test match shows his experience in implementing Bazball 😅😅

      Bazball was just a stop gap to England bleeding Ls in Test cricket.
      It papers over deficiencies in technique on roads but they get exposed by strong opposition over a 5 Test series.
      Bazball should only be used on lottery pitches or if you need to put time back into the game because there's predictions of an entire day being washed out by rain.

    I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. I'm worried about whether those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than I currently am. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.

    Nasser is one of the most intelligent and level- headed commentators. Bazball is just a word. In the India series, England have batted and played badly. Is that kind of batting and playing Bazball?
    Bazball itself, I think can shock and awe a complacent adversary, but once the other side overcomes the initial shock, Bazball will get found out as the trajectory of this series demonstrates.

    • @kingvikramjit7221
      @kingvikramjit7221 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Absolutely. The Eng Team, despite their potential, could not raise themselves to levels desired to overcome India at home, except in the first test where Ollie Pope's 196 propelled them despite India's 192 lead. Hence, they lost the series. It has nothing to do with Bazball per se. Bazpall implies playing to win, whatever the match situation is. So, players think of winning all the time. It also implies scoring rapidly. But, you can only score if u have the skills to do so - Eng could not do so against Indian bowlers. So, bazball level demands high execution of skills, where the English were found wanting. Bazball however, can revolutionize test cricket, make it result oriented and therefore, fascinating to watch - things a modern day cricket lover demands from the sport - nothing wrong with the concept, whatsoever. Eng never played for a Draw, mind you.

      They have forgotten how to be attritional and dig in. England do not seem to have one player who can dig in for 12 runs of 80 balls to see off a bowler. England have not batted intelligently in the middle order. Pope, stokes, bairstow have not learned at all and just bat in the same way regardless of the pitch and game scenario.

Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, pope has not shown their patience to bat for long converting their start into a good milestone! Why experienced player like Johnny Brestow and Ben stokes ( hero of Ashes and test cricket) given his wicket easily. Please explain! On the above many congratulations to legend Mr. Jimmy Anderson!

Crawley was excellent throughout, Duckett was decent(played one hell of a knock in Rajkot), Pope was below average except 196, Root did not perform upto his standards, Bairstow was not that bad, he got a lot of good starts but no big innings, Stokes was poor, Foakes was very good but always left stranded with tail and Hartley impressed with the bat.

    Bazball is what India played in this series. And we have been playing that way since the time of Sehwag, Australia used to play this way in the late 90''s,early 2000's So its nothing new. Its just that calculated attacking cricket is very different from running down the pitch one ball before luch ((Pope), playing the sweep when the ball is not there to be swept(Pope again). I thought England got carried away, 😮when their approach to batting should have been more measured. A test match is played over 450 overs you cant just win test matches by hitting yourself out of trouble . Also i thought England were atrocious on day 1 in Dhramshala especially after winning the toss on a really flat wicket. A little caution mixed with aggression, right shot selection would have made England's chances of reaching 400 much more brighter. They may have still lost but atleast they would have givem India a good fight.

    I agree with Nasser that Bazball is not the main reason for England's poor performance in India. They need to work on their batting, bowling, and fielding skills in different conditions. Bazball is just a distraction and an excuse for their lack of adaptability. India showed how to play Bazball and still dominate in Test cricket. England should learn from them and stop blaming Bazball for their failures.

    • @zealous623
      @zealous623 Před 2 měsíci

      Playing the situations and adapting to it is actually evergreen conventional approach. If it's easy to bat on, no team would just keep playing defense and would score at high run rate. Playing with aggressive intent(definitely not 4s and 6s but the intent) even in challenging conditions is what Bazball is.
      However, conventional cricket asks the batsmen to keep their heads down and show their resilience for sessions to move from that challenging phases. India just reminded them how strong the conventional approach is.

Very rightly said by England's Ex captain Nasir Husen Sir, its Unbelievable, especially for a fast bowler to maintain himself as prime member of test cricket scode of a country like England for such a long long period, and most importently, today, at the age of 41 can bowl with almost same skill and speed, which he use to bowl during his first test match 20 years ago. 👏👏👏👏👏 🎉
