I understand what Bazball is now. Its about finishing the game as quick as possible to save time from 5 days to play video games and watch movies. Stokes is really good at it and his 1 wicket and 2 runs from the test match shows his experience in implementing Bazball 😅😅
Bazball was just a stop gap to England bleeding Ls in Test cricket.
It papers over deficiencies in technique on roads but they get exposed by strong opposition over a 5 Test series.
Bazball should only be used on lottery pitches or if you need to put time back into the game because there's predictions of an entire day being washed out by rain.
Don’t forget the golf
It's works in English conditions where 250 or 300 runs is good score for an innings. But in India 400 is the minimum score.
@@gobimurugesan2411 Even in Eng they failed to win Ashes. Its 2-2.
@@loner145it was controversial 😅 as I believe England should have won it
I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.
The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.

Nasser is one of the most intelligent and level- headed commentators. Bazball is just a word. In the India series, England have batted and played badly. Is that kind of batting and playing Bazball?
Bazball itself, I think can shock and awe a complacent adversary, but once the other side overcomes the initial shock, Bazball will get found out as the trajectory of this series demonstrates.
Absolutely. The Eng Team, despite their potential, could not raise themselves to levels desired to overcome India at home, except in the first test where Ollie Pope's 196 propelled them despite India's 192 lead. Hence, they lost the series. It has nothing to do with Bazball per se. Bazpall implies playing to win, whatever the match situation is. So, players think of winning all the time. It also implies scoring rapidly. But, you can only score if u have the skills to do so - Eng could not do so against Indian bowlers. So, bazball level demands high execution of skills, where the English were found wanting. Bazball however, can revolutionize test cricket, make it result oriented and therefore, fascinating to watch - things a modern day cricket lover demands from the sport - nothing wrong with the concept, whatsoever. Eng never played for a Draw, mind you.
Congrats to jimmy and ashwin for their achievments
This is called good solid hiding. In 10 years, bazball will be looked at as a revolutionary idea of its time with no takers and below-par results. Just the way Concorde was grounded.
It will be remembered as a blunder...
They have forgotten how to be attritional and dig in. England do not seem to have one player who can dig in for 12 runs of 80 balls to see off a bowler. England have not batted intelligently in the middle order. Pope, stokes, bairstow have not learned at all and just bat in the same way regardless of the pitch and game scenario.
Probably yes .
They will use their media to manipulate that they were the first to play this style of batting and rave about it
Concorde was a revolutionary idea ahead of its time. As I imagine “bazball” will be if Test cricket doesn't want to die out like Concorde did.
Ya where 250 runs is good score. Not in India
India played well in Hyderabad too. without the pope's century it would have been 5-0 for India.
Pope paid the penalty for that silly knock - that upstart was condemned by the gods for the rest of the series .
Indian players dropped 2 catches of Pope and still had the match in their hands if they batted a bit more sensibly. Lost it so close by 28 runs.

Initially, former English players and cricket pundits criticized Rohit Sharma for his batting and captaincy. However, after four matches, India clinched the series 4-1, with Rohit emerging as the fourth highest run-scorer. Amidst this, one might ponder: What was the impact and contribution of Ben Stokes throughout the series?

Geoffrey Boycott was the first one to criticize Rohit but now I can sense he is crying in the Corner 😂
Nick Knight was even giving the credit of Rohit's improved captaincy to Ben Stokes as if Rohit learned the frequent field changes from Stokes.😂

The reason for India to win the series so comfortablly is the one and only their discipline both in batting as well as in howling..
My Question to Naseer sir, why Bazbal has showed no patience in Test cricket! Look at Joe Root how he batted taking his time and facing the ball in field. Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, pope has not shown their patience to bat for long converting their start into a good milestone! Why experienced player like Johnny Brestow and Ben stokes ( hero of Ashes and test cricket) given his wicket easily. Please explain! On the above many congratulations to legend Mr. Jimmy Anderson!
So many Eng experts were raving England's chances after the 1st test but it was always an uphill task against Ind in Ind. In a test between Bazball v Skill, skill would always win and Indian players were mighty skillful in this series & Eng werent!
Jimmy Anderson and Ravi Ashwin are 🐐
And there is bairstow even after losing series and choked in whole series he is going after our young players😂
That's frustration. Kohli should have been there at that point, would make Bairstow remember the moment for a long time. 😂
In sports, theories and stats do have some values, but it is the players and their adaptive abilities that have the final say in the outcome of games and series. India underlined that the Bazball is just a term as they added a few brilliant and dauting chapters of their own while outclassing the rivals 4-1.
Jimmy Anderson was brilliant as usual and congrats to him on his 700!
The funny thing about bazball is that stokes and mcullum didn’t event the word
This type of performance we expect from India in World Cup knockouts 🥲❤ whatever always believe in blue❤❤❤❤❤🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
The team results are still the same from when England was playing the traditional test match way😢
Nah, its worse. India didnt have atleast 3 key players.
Last three test matches had inexperienced batting lineup.
Remove any three players from current Eng team, and see them losing even against Afg by an innings.
England players, coaches and fans do not use the term ‘Bazball’ it is the English media that are so impressed with themselves to have come up with this term they can’t stop using it.
England's bowling performed better than expected as their spin attack was inexperienced and weak in absence of Jack Leach but their batting let them down. Crawley was excellent throughout, Duckett was decent(played one hell of a knock in Rajkot), Pope was below average except 196, Root did not perform upto his standards, Bairstow was not that bad, he got a lot of good starts but no big innings, Stokes was poor, Foakes was very good but always left stranded with tail and Hartley impressed with the bat.
Jaiswal was mightier then bazball.😂
Root played lot more sensible in last two test so why he was playing that type shots so early in first three tests🤔

The irony is India played Bazzball. ENG: 26 sixes IND: 72 sixes in the series.Indian players have the technique to do it. Bazzball was invented to hid the poor technique and lack of application of the England team.
Bazball is what India played in this series. And we have been playing that way since the time of Sehwag, Australia used to play this way in the late 90''s,early 2000's So its nothing new. Its just that calculated attacking cricket is very different from running down the pitch one ball before luch ((Pope), playing the sweep when the ball is not there to be swept(Pope again). I thought England got carried away, 😮when their approach to batting should have been more measured. A test match is played over 450 overs you cant just win test matches by hitting yourself out of trouble . Also i thought England were atrocious on day 1 in Dhramshala especially after winning the toss on a really flat wicket. A little caution mixed with aggression, right shot selection would have made England's chances of reaching 400 much more brighter. They may have still lost but atleast they would have givem India a good fight.
Rent-a-gob Michael Vaughan was all over ‘Baz Ball’ good to hear some common sense from Nas. Explains why Vaughan is the only England captain in the past 30 years to not be on Sky Sports.
What is Stokes bringing to the table? He won't bowl and doesn't reach double figures most of the time. Is he a non-performing skipper? Yet none of the commentators criticise him!
It is just like calling Briton as Great Britton. There is nothing great about Britton likewise there is nothing great about Stokes. Britton lives on the past glory. In Urdu it is called mazi kee Mohabbat. Not only cricket but the entire country is going down. I live here so I can tell u better.
Fantastic words towards the end for Jimmy Anderson and what is special about this achievement!
BazBall never would’ve worked for the longer run, in Tests batting time for the pitches to deteriorate and tiring out the oppositions is as important as scoring runs, that’s why it’s Test cricket, you just can’t be batting around 50-60 overs every innings don’t let your bowlers rest and think it’ll work every time.
Just the comment I was looking for. Perfect.
This was a ‘Media Narrative’ series. India were clearly better side having won everywhere in the world as opposed to England who were good but only in patches.
Clear case of Generalising anecdotal evidence!
Proud of our Indian Team🤞🏻crossed God Willing very soon we will become WTC Champions n hopefully 50 over WC champions as well in times to come! Keep up the good work 👏👏

England have two full days to teach Dalai Lama how to meditate. 😂😂😂
Now, England is ready for a mountain trek in Dharamsala 😂😂
In the first test, only Pope's brilliance won them the match but in the rest of matches England's batting never supported their bowlers with enough runs on board.
India dropped two easy catches of Pope leading to 196 and it was still in India's grip if they had played a bit more sensibly as they remained short of just 28 runs.
Very ingenuine to say 4-1 flatters India. English media needs to stop being so biased towards their sports teams
They live in their own DreamWorld. It's negative to their own team whenever it loses.
I agree with Nasser that Bazball is not the main reason for England's poor performance in India. They need to work on their batting, bowling, and fielding skills in different conditions. Bazball is just a distraction and an excuse for their lack of adaptability. India showed how to play Bazball and still dominate in Test cricket. England should learn from them and stop blaming Bazball for their failures.
Playing the situations and adapting to it is actually evergreen conventional approach. If it's easy to bat on, no team would just keep playing defense and would score at high run rate. Playing with aggressive intent(definitely not 4s and 6s but the intent) even in challenging conditions is what Bazball is.
However, conventional cricket asks the batsmen to keep their heads down and show their resilience for sessions to move from that challenging phases. India just reminded them how strong the conventional approach is.
To put into context what Anderson achieved, I recall reading about Fred Trueman's words at the end of his career in the 1960s - when asked if anyone would break his record of 307 Test wickets he said : "Aye, but whoever does will be bloody tired." That was Trueman recognizing the effort needed by a Fast bowler.
Frankly English players looked like cowardly soldiers running away from battlefield and call it Bazzball 😂
Anderson, salute to you for your achievement and hope we will see much more from your end and younger generation will be inspired with your presence.
Best bazball quote was Ollie Robinson saying before the Oval Test that even if eng lose 3-1 they'll still celebrate hard "because of the way we’ve played". Eng were the ones talking about it. Even Stokes today could've said we were out-played and left it at that but instead he adds we can admit that because we're men, we're man enough. Can never resist the opportunity to big himself up.
The way India next-gen stood up to fill the vacancies of senior players is amazing. After 5 tests, sadly, Joe Root remains the only classical test player in this English side. Bashir is the only other positive.
Nassar said it how it is.
The only thing England got right was the coin toss. The rest was all India's game.
Thanks uncle Nassir Hussain

Not much good memories for England as team, in this India test match series 2024, but must say, great to see relentless performance of Jimmy Anderson after almost 20 years. Very rightly said by England's Ex captain Nasir Husen Sir, its Unbelievable, especially for a fast bowler to maintain himself as prime member of test cricket scode of a country like England for such a long long period, and most importently, today, at the age of 41 can bowl with almost same skill and speed, which he use to bowl during his first test match 20 years ago. 👏👏👏👏👏 🎉
