The biggest surprise here is just how good Intel cards have gotten, those drivers were a literal game changer, I don't think we can afford to forget that Intel even makes GPUs anymore.
Especially since they dropped the a750 to $200.
I just ordered a a750 for $200, feeling pretty good about it. I’m sure they will only get better and better with drivers until they hit the ceiling of the card’s capabilities. But it also really close to the new 7600 at $70 less
I'm gonna be building 4 or 5 PC's shortly, and I am genuinely considering an intel GPU for each of them. They'll be vaguely entry level PC's capable of some 1080p gaming each having a clear upgrade path for the people I'm building them for so they have that opportunity if they are so minded. Torn between an intel GPU, 6700 XT or maybe the 7600 if the price is right at the time.
@@GahloWake I'm waiting for the price drop to hit Canadian stores to get one myself.
@azena. I know it's 1080p bit I would still go with the 6700XT for the 12gb vram vs the 8gb with the intel
Glad to see Phil on screen again, hope Jay has a successful recovery.
What happened to Jay?
@@ryskbotvladimirivanovic1767 he has surgery, which is why Phil is on camera

More competition in the low-end GPU segment is really what the industry needs. Intel has stepped in to fill that void nicely.
Yup can't wait for the A770 16GB to drop to 300 USD now. I got mine for that during a Christmas flash sale.
If ARC is priced like this then they will win the favour of PC fence sitters.
A380 6GB - 130-150 USD
A750 8GB - 200-220 USD
A770 8GB - 250-270 USD
A770 16GB - 300 USD.
Damn, by the end of the year they might shape up to be like a Pascal of sorts, by that point the drivers should be there.
low end dgpus are nice in the desktop space and not really necessary in the laptop space. what an odd market the computers have now
@@phoenixrising4995 Im looking to build a video editing/ 3d model pc would the 770 be good for stuff like that?

I don't
@@CS-pl8fc did anyone ask you specifically? Nahh we didn't
Jay didn't have to take that video down. Phil didn't say anything really that wrong. It's just fanboys and bots mostly. Now it wasn't the new mid range king of course by a long stretch with 8GB vram.
His awesome what?
As a 3060 owner, gonna pass this generation for all companies.
Skipping the next generation of any product is a good idea. Unless it has an insane time gap (e.g. game consoles).
i still own 2060, and until now i really dont think anything worth it lol
@@LuminousSpace i think that i'll go for the next one too xD. usually is good to go for an upgrade every 2 Gens, but this one (From BOTH sides) feels like a refresh of last gen
@@LuminousSpace The only card on the market I would replace my 2060 with today, would the A770. In truth though, Battlemage should be out within a year. I am waiting for it.
@@LuminousSpaceYou could pick up a 6800XT.
That's a big upgrade.
I love how over the last couple of month every GPU review was also a slight, in most cases unintentionaly, A750 Hype up is. For all Tech CZcamsrs
I mean if intel can make a dent in the GPU market the better cause we really need more competition in the GPU and I would like to see another brand also enter the CPU race
I got the A770 for my daughter.... I has been wonderful. I am now waiting for Battleamge.
FUN FACT: after the 4050 fiasco INTEL ARC 750 is now $200...
Yeah but still it has stability issues and trouble launching a bunch of games out of the box - sometimes - on some system - the fault is periodic - which is infuriating AF trust me! Have about 20 system in my service rotation which has A770 and A750 cards and they are BY FAR the largest offenders when it comes to random crashes and failures to launch - and even bluescreening/bricking Windows - both 10 and 11. I don't debate that their raw horsepower is good - however I would NEVER recommend them to anyone who isn't fairly tech savvy - and to me they are more a fun toy/tech demo than an actual competitor... and I think Intel knows this which is probably why they haven't released more cards yet.
@@Craider79 sounds like my amd experience. But I guess its even worse on intel then.
this still hasent shaken my "I will skip this gen" attitude. I personally am not satisfied with what you get for 300-500 bucks. Good to see that AMD holds a candle in atleast one price range this gen....and my GOD is Intel doing gods work. Its to a point where im more than just considering ARC for next years release cycle. Hope they can still smash it at around 300 bucks
Will all the old gen stock floating around I think both AMD and Nvidia *want* us to skip this gen. Or rather, they won't price this gen competitively until last gen is finally "finished". As longer as neither is willing to compete with one another, they have nothing forcing them to price these new products at all competitively. So people either buy overpriced new cards, or clear out the last gen stock, both ways Nvidia and AMD are still making sales. This just all sucks as even after both a crypto boom and pandemic/lockdown are over, we are still left feeling the negative effects. The last 4 years are pretty much a "lost generation(s)"
The RX5700xt released at $350 like 4 years ago. Basically the same perf/$
6800 xt for that price range. Pretty good card imo
@@Scnottaken perf per currency is a pretty useless stat. Many AMD copers rely on it for their purchase decision but there are literally 50-70 buck GPUs on Amazon giving you roughly a 1:1 FPS per buck ratio(low-med settings), this would be insane value however I highly doubt ANYONE would buy those. You should always have a rough performance target and then look for what gets you the closest or might offer a little more for a little extra. Thats why you need reviewers
@@Kiyuja they're almost the same performance or I wouldn't have mentioned it.

@@Lloyd-Franklin He has a Ligma, very sad.
@@Brabant076so sad. 😊
Two lessons for me: my 6700 XT is proving the be an absolute value king overall and that if Intel keeps throwing up punches like this, they're gonna be a budget belle of the ball when they bring a big boy card to the market.
sad part is, when they fixed there drivers, they are going to charge the exact same amount as nvidia for the same performance. they allready did that with the ARC series, just slot them in, where the counterparts from nvidia are priced
Im still using my 5700xt nitro and it performs amazing! i wanted the 6950xt but passing the 6 and 7k series. Maybe they learn and create a good 8k series
I have the 6700xt as well and a great card

Great job Phil! Don't worry abou the 4060 review. It was one stumble, but you're going strong now. Can't wait to see more.

@@maxmustermann194 Yeah but that would have hurt the CZcams algorithm for their channel, which they obviously want to avoid.

Great video. Nice to see Phil again. Get well soon Jay but good that you've got a great team
It's surprising that the A750 is growing as a value proposition, at least for specific workloads, over where it was at last year. Love how this video was lowkey more a showcase of how drivers can mature
I mean you still don't want to recommend this for older titles that probably can't get as much attention regarding driver fixes. But it's still impressive.
@User 101 no but I wouldn't recommend anything modern rn because of the prices either
if you buy something that isn't good til 2 years later when the next gen comes out, then is it really that good of a value? do you not value your time?
@Vincent Ellsworth I never said it's actually worth the money to buy one it's just that the value proposition is getting better. I don't recommend buying any of the latest Gen at their current prices. I don't recommend buying last Gen when you consider the prices pre 'demic.
@@Lyvarious got it so it's getting better but nothing is worth buying now...🤣
Intel is getting really interesting, curious to see their 2nd gen cards.
For now I'm keeping my 3060ti, more than enough for 1080p with RT.
indeed
Agreed. But is it really enough that too with RT? Like do you hit 60 fps as average fps?

So happy I ordered an A770 months ago. I love how it looks (is so beautiful!) and it always excites me to see how it improves with age. I really hope Intel continue to develop more dGPU.
Yup I scored one during a Christmas flash sale for 300 USD. Love the A770 16GB model, I know that its VRAM isn't handicapped in anyway and its driver updates are really good so far. To think that my local retailer was trying to get rid of these cards to have more space for 4080s to sell, then just to have them return as open box and sell at a loss makes me laugh. Dumb Scalpers and now Nvidia is scalping you with the 4060Ti.
lol
I will say the aesthetic is much nicer than most gamer cards IMO. Though I'm over case windows and to RGB for now.
Great video. Good job Phil and Nic!! Nice breakdown of this level of cards!!
Great job Phil! Wishing Jay a speedy recovery but don't be a stranger when he returns!
Phil!!! Great to see you again!!! Jay get well and comeback soon!! Great channel with all the three of you!
It's interesting how good the Intel cards have gotten with driver updates and if Metro Exodus results are any indication, both nvidia and AMD should be very worried in that price class.
I'm just happy seeing the 6750XT in a test, hardly none seem to have them in tests numbers, so sad... ^^
This seem's like a pretty good card for the money, with how insane prices are still...
Remember, prices on high end cards are still almost double what we'd see 6 - 10 years ago.
or triple in nvidia's case.
I have a 6750XT which I patiently snagged for a reasonable price last year and I am very happy with it. I don't do RT but I can raster anything quietly at 2560x1600 with max settings and not set my room on fire. Efficient score extra points with me as I have to AC my home in the summer.
Getting caught up on my subs. This was a great vid and review. More Phil!
Hey Phil! Nice to have someone different fronting the episodes from time to time. Speedy recovery Jay.

Good review thanks, we’re getting a ok card for under $300. Your comparisons were clear and brief. Lots of the other reviewers outrage was beginning to wearing me out. I count myself lucky that I went for a AMD combo deal last year with 5800x3d/6750xt.

Hope to see more of Phil on camera hosting reviews, I like his style. Good Job Phil you are a natural presenter, This Gen of cards has been let down, I am holding on until next year and see if anything changes.
In that intro, I was like, "What same price point? Nvidia has nothing on that same price point."
Yeah the Nvidia check cleared so he won't be uploading a new review.
4060 in Juli will be around that price point.
He should have said price bracket bc you could get 3060 near 300, and aib cards for 7600 would reach 300ish bc of added fans, OC, etc.
@@daflipbizkit AMD always drop prices a few weeks after launch like their 7900XT which is now $150 below MSRP. The RX7600 price sucks so I am guessing it will fall below $250 in a matter of weeks.

We love you phill. Mistakes happen. No problems
One thing I like more and more of the reviews from Phil is they are really grounded compared to other reviewers, you don't try to cause toxic discussions or plainy said the product sucks, just giving your results and being objective in a positive way... that's becoming more unique and I'm all in for it, thank you and keep going! With more practice you'll become a master in presenting in no time!

But I‘ve one suggestion for the presentation, it would really help if the bars for the fps would be slighlty colored according to the company’s colors, which would make the differentiation easier for the viewer.
Excellent review Phill. Hope you are getting better Jay

Going strong Phil! Thanks for an amazing comperrison.
I think the 7600 did ok. At 270 i think its a good start.
I would personally today only buy a 8GB card for max $230-$250, $269 is around that ballpark but anything above that price range *should* have at least around 12GB (looking at you 7600 *XT*).
I agree we need more vram in these cards. The 6700 XT 12GB is a great deal right now if you can find one. It's matched or slightly ahead of the 4060 TI (8GB) in performance with more vram.
Phil is rocking presenting! good job dude!
YES PhilzTwoCents I am here for this. I missed the 4060 video, so glad I get to see Phils work now.
Thanks Phil for stepping in 👍
I’d say decent round up, i would have included the RX 6600 but if it beats the XT then I’d say we don’t need to bother. Would like to know how many pci-e lanes it has as the 6600 only had 4 and it was shown to significantly slow things down running on pci-e 3.0
Only the 6500 and 6400 had 4 lanes. 6600 and 7600 both have 8 lanes and it doesn't make a difference whether its pcie 3.0 or 4.0.
Good to see you on Camera :) Hope Jay gets his strength back soon! But in the meantime, the channel is in good hands :)
Good to see you on screen Phil !
Well done Phil, tell Jay to get well soon. As for the cards nothing much of a surprise except that intel is slowly and really quietly of late moving into a real contender.
Hey guys, i know you have big shoes to fill with Jay's absence, and the pressure to be on that level is immense i imagine. Just know that i (and im sure many others, do understand). I'm waiting for the 5000 series cards or the AMD equivalents.
Yeah Buying a used or discounted 3xxx series Nvidia or 6xxx series AMD is the way to go especially if you want a decent amount of vram for the price. This generation costs too much for what it delivers.

currently thinking of upgrading to the a750 limited from my strix 5600xt, but i dont know if i should keep waiting for even better price to performance cards
good job on the video!
Intel discounted the A750 to 199$ yesterday
I honestly, at some point you just have to go for it and then quit looking at prices. You’ll always be able to find a better deal than what you got, and if you wait long enough, the price will always come down or something new will come out for the same price. if you really want to wait for the best value for your dollar, wait about 20 years and get what comes out then. Or go used. 2080 supers are sitting at under 300 right now, and they will blow most stuff he showed today out of the water
@@marekcelko580 Damn! lets go Intel. If they can get the A770 16GB down to 300 USD and the 8GB variant to 270 USD, then adoption will be huge. Battlemage looks like it could slaughter Nvidias midrange, especially with RT stuff like Metro Exodus.
