I dont think he ever got the credit he deserved. Another player who typified what Arsenal stood for and part of one of our greatest generations.
บวช
Same with Winterburn who was an absolute rock and scored some absolute class goals. Top bins Winterburn.
Over 500 games for the club. What a legend
True legend
Legend doesn't mean best
@pride of London clown
@pride of London why are you here then
Bang average talks like he was world class
These documentaries need to be shown to the current Arsenal players cos they don't get it. They simply don't. They don't understand what it means to play for that badge.
Before you had Adams, Rocky,Keown and many others teaching the youngsters what it meant to be at Arsenal and how lucky they were. We need that back. hoping Saka, Willock and people in our academy realise this
I hate to break it to u but football isn't like it was in the 1980's anymore. It's just a reality.
@@anandthakrar121 exactly
@@oliverforway3868 sad but true
@@oliverforway3868 Yeah they aren't working class they're extremely well paid. That said, Martinelli, Saka, Tierney, and Nketiah all seem to be very disciplined and determined, and Saliba is supposed to be very mature as well so if we can keep them all together with Pepe, Leno & maybe Bellerin and Mari we have a future.
Best RB we've ever had FACT!
GOONERBIGGS yup
You forgot Jenkinson already
You’re deluded Jenkinson was miles better
FACT INDEED MATE.
1. Dixon member of the most revered back 4 possibly in league history.
2. Lauren, super talented member of the Invincibles.
3. Sagna, dedicated and consistent performer over a number of years. You can count the number of bad games he had on one hand.
Oleh Luzhny was miles better
Dixon makes me proud to be an Arsenal fan. Setting the standards of what it means to be an Arsenal player.
17:26 Just look at the way Rocky bends that pass into Smith's path. Such quality. RIP Rocky!
That Michael Thomas goal at anfield isn’t the same without the “ up for grabs now!!” Commentary from Brian Moore.
Great job ! These feature length documentaries on Arsenal Legends are top quality. Keep it comin' !!
What a player. He's the best RB to have ever played for the Arsenal imo. A superb defender at the peak of his powers
.
Sagna????
@@Sipho_Thenjwayo he was very good too.
@@Sipho_Thenjwayo he was good but Dixon was better
@@Sipho_ThenjwayoLee was miles better
So many memories, can’t believe over 30 years have gone by since he joined Arsenal and nearly 20 since he retired.
who loves to get into the uefa final on fifa 20 and you hear his name,,,,
Absolute gem of a person ❤️
What a legend.always remember the flick over the leeds player to set up a goal at ellend road..if we got a goal lead u knew we had a great chance off at least a draw with these fellas at the back..no airs and graces as he said if he brought a book out no one would read it..nowadays if u get last ten minutes as a sub your book is out the next day..
How passionate these players were specifically the english core towards arsenal makes me wonder if football has lost one of it's beautiful part - loyalty.
that was a different time though-when you didn't watch much international footy on tv
I love how this one gives us insight into graham’s era at the club, very underrated figure that laid the foundations for wenger.
george graham is not underrated, it's just that wenger was better.
@@icydsting6037 basically just used a defence set up George Graham to win the title
I was almost crying in the part where he talks about his picture in the stadium
Hi how you doing
Fun fact: We bought Dixon and Bould from Stoke for a combined fee of £765,000.
Love that it was Stoke too.
One of the best £765 000 we ever spent
@@khairulnizam5425That's fun? You need a hobby mate.
Member of that fabled back four... we love you Lee, great servant and deserved legend.
We miss Lee Dixon...will never be replaced
One of the reasons why I love this club. The history!!! The class of London!!!
He’s from central Manchester
"Class"...This week, Arsenal-Lens ..French tv remembered today the 0-1 in 1998 and the pseudo agression of Vairelles on Dixon...Yes that day Dixon was very "class"...
Absolute LEGEND
"i would have done it for nothing ❤❤😪"top player thank you
This team born to win extraordinary titles
I remember seeing Lee Dixon at Heathrow Airport…shouted his name and he gave us a wave as I drove by. Gunners legend! ❤
We need Mr Arsenal (Tony Adams) documentary. This was another fantastic watch along with the others.
Dixon was my fav player growing up. As a goalkeeper myself, he truly was immense at right back.
PLZZ Tony Adams next and thanks for bringing Dixon😍I love hik
If you haven't watched it yet, 89.
Dixon and winterburn 😍
Gold Days Gunners, gold days
One of the G.O.A.T
Love these Arsenal documentaries show these current players what it's like to play for the club, badge and your teammates... Next up needs to be a Tony Adams and Robert Pires documentary... Excellent Job Arsenal!!!
Thank you Lee.......what a player and so nice to hear you ❤️ our club the same as we do 🙏🏻🤗👍🏻
One of THE best and most underrated defenders in the history of the FA and Arsenal in particular.
Lee is an Arsenal legend ...Thank you so much for all the great memories .
The greatest RB we’ve ever had. Lauren and Sagna were brilliant but this guy gave us over 500 games of consistent brilliant defending with the occasional goal thrown in. Absolute legend!
Where's the Wenger documentary?
Lee Dixon a top classic right back for the Gunners.
Dixon and Winterburn both right and left backs in our back four.
Seeing these documentaries fill me with immense pride. Gunner for life. Guys like Dixon made our club. Absolute legend
I love our legends
Who else please
Arsenal = class
We love you Lee Dixon ❤
Makes me realise how good Smith was!
Definitely underrated
He was overshadowed by Wrighty but another seriously underrated player
What a fantastic trip down member lane and feel those emotions again.
How strange is it that Lee and GG sorted out the contract themselves with no agent or director of football.
Love Dicko. Great player and ever so humble..
Legend! Manchester boy forever have a home in north London 💙🇬🇧
Absolutely love the man!!! One of the greatest Arsenal players ever, no question! He's right, we might not have been the most "exciting" team under George but the "only" people bitching about it were fans of the teams that we were turning over!! We loved it!!
What a legend
This perfectly illustrates what’s been lost with the move from Highbury. Dixon, with over 500 games for Arsenal, sitting in a stadium he never played in. The history he has with the club and all the moments shared with the fans and all those connected with the club, happened at Highbury. That’s the connection everyone has and shared, through all the generations. All these legends of the club, they feel little or no connection now with what the club is, therefore the current players and owners do not feel it either. All the success the club had pre 2006 has been somewhat lost, all the emirates has is FA cups and failure to win anything else, negative history if anything, Monaco, Man U 09semi, atletico Madrid semi, Olympiacos this year too. The players don’t expect success because there has been non with that stadium. It’s been lost.
I think thats true. Even Wenger said something similar. But the most important things lost since moving are the high quality of the players and winning mentality. Selling our best players and accepting mediocrity as a result.
This makes me think of fifa
Hi I’m Martin Tyler or whoever here with former arsenal full back Lee Dixon
Right back 😉
lol when ever I hit 600 games with a player he’s like well Martin I was lucky enough to have played over 500 games for arsenal ... this lads has topped that he’s played 600😂
Swear he commentates with Derek Rae
Except he doesn't commentate with Martin Tyler
He commentates with Derek Rae mate
What a player
Best one yet loving the legend's documentary ,reminds us what our club and standards is all about .Dixons legend.👑
Brought back so many great memories, a true Arsenal legend. Would always be first out before kickoff and acknowledge the fans before and after the game. Really enjoyed this, nice work
A True Arsenal man. Our greatest Right Back. Pat Rice is right up there too!
Very reliable definite legend
Lee Dickson gave showed the best of him for the goodness of our team Arsenal
Another great Arsenal Documentary 💚💛♥️🧡
@arsenal media once again you show our clubs quality with these documentaries..one of my highlights during this quarantine
Brillant..thank you, these docs the club have made are being released at the right time.
Why do you think this is the right time?
"I made a point of clapping the supporters". Culture needs to be passed on. Legend.
Best fifa game commentator
Every Arsenal player form this 2020 squad needs to watch every documentary about Arsenal legends to realize what is Arsenal.
After Michael Thomas' goal at Anfield is shown, I love his confession that he would have been useless if Liverpool had come down his side in the final seconds because his eyes were filled with tears. What a Gunner. He's one of those players that you don't win a championship without.
It upsets me seeing club then compared to now. The club and the fans deserve better
Top man. Got goosebumps reliving those moments
Respect Lee Dixon.. Was there in the northbank all them years ago. Kia ora . Bro from New Zealand. From a Bedford gooner...living in New Zealand.
No much you can say about a man like Lee, a club legend, and a top bloke too! One of the best, I think most arsenal fans will say the same thing
Absolutely
Best right back arsenal ever had, a true professional
We all waiting for that time again when we can go to our mates and say, "I told you we will win the league".
Arsenal TIL I die ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the memories Lee!!
Lee have heart...this new ,, footballers" can learn from him. Greatings from Serbia 👍.
in a different era, he prob would have got more england caps. very good pro
Legend
Nobody:
Also nobody:
Arsenal's content manager: Lets provide our fan with Lee Dixon's documentary!!!11!!1
Arsenal need to make more documentaries on other legends in order to educate the new young gooners
They should learn themselves
It's all abt money nowadays.
Our best ever right back
Legend ❤️
LEGEND!
Class 👏👏👏
Love him ❤❤❤❤
Go Arsenal❤️❤️❤️
What a great documentary. Lee Dixon is an arsenal legend and rightly so. 89 and 02 winner. Brilliant he was able to pass down the traditions of the club to the next generation. It’s a shame they seem to have been forgotten these days. Could do with a few more old school players being involved these days
These documentaries should tell you that it's too early to give up on Pepe
Pepe would have had at least 10 goals and 10 assists this season if the campaign finished, which is pretty damn good for a first year in England with 3 different managers where we've been poor as a team. He has a lot of potential.
Definitely. Especially the Bergkamp and Henry ones.
In general people should know you can't judge a footballer that quickly, but people are stupid
Great piece of work, some of these guys were overshadowed by others during Arsenal success by others like Bergkamp, Adams, Vierra etc.
Mr consistent
Loving these documentaries, what a great way to connect fans to the history of the club.
Alas his best goal was an own goal but what a lob! Seaman forever off his line..
Dixon was a great player. Doesn’t quite get the credit he deserves in my opinion.
Tony Adams was an absolute colossus in that defence. Mr. Arsenal for sure.
Liverpool fan. Enjoyed the battles with Arsenal in the 90’s.
what a right back what a bloke, arsenal legend
Lee never let arsenal down
excellent documentary great player Lee Dixon !
Bergkamp Legend 1hr 20 mins, Henry Legend 1hr 22mins, Dixon Legend 57 mins, Lol. What an absolute legend though. Lucky to have been alive during this period of the clubs history.
Legend, love this documentary thanks guys
I remember on match days at Highbury Lee was always first out for the warm up and he spent some time chatting with Junior Gunners. He is a real legend.
Very simply, Lee Dixon is a legend.
Kanu Nwankwo deserves a film as well!
100%. There is so many. Vieira, Pires, and even more important. David Seaman.
Loyal player Arsenal through and through Dicko!
Everton fan here this is good I watch any footy docs lee did say goodison park was is fav ground I heard
Love Arsenal ,,
Top bloke top professional
Excellent documentary
What a nice guy, he deserved his merits because of his attitude. Dixon was an old fashioned fullback who could actually defend and cross a decent ball when attacking. These days the position has become synonymous with wingbacks. Its almost a lost art on them to do their primary job and defend well, whilst being able to actually cross a good ball.
