- A little tribute video to the former Arsenal's player and probably the greatest right back in clubs history. Lee Dixon's tenure in north London lasted a hugely impressive 15 years, encapsulating 619 appearances - leaving him fourth in the all-time list - until his retirement in 2002.
He scored some funny own goals included into video, but that's nothing compared to his amazing goals and crosses. From arguably the hardest position on the field to make a noteworthy impact, the right-back excelled in both his primary duty of defending, and further upfield.

I remember the end of season Arsenal video, I think for the season 1990-91. We were playing Leeds at Elland Rd. Lee was up against Glyn Snodin that day. He was facing his own goal and clipped the ball back over Snodin’s head, ran on to his own pass, then sprayed a 60 yard left footed cross field ball to either Merson or Limpar. Martin Tyler was the commentator and he said “And he did that like the England full back he is, and how about the pass!” - we didn’t realise it possibly at the time, but Lee was a fantastic full back, and you don’t realise what you have sometimes until it’s (or he’s retired!) gone!
This week-end Arsenal-Lens...The Artesians and above all Tony Vairelles still remember Dixon sad comedy at the end of the 1998 match at Highbury...

Well, I mean, we're not at all where we deserve to be. Don't always agree with Lee, but he is definitely a Arsenal legend, mate. Not Bergkamp quality or anything, but still. He was a remarkable defender.
