I just finished S1 of the original below deck, and Lee comes off as too hands off and afraid to fire someone. I definitely prefer Capts Sandy and Jason.

I’ve worked with a lot of celebrities over the last 20 years and Captain Lee has to be one of my favorites. Stand up guy, no ego and very down to earth. Really enjoyed my time working with him. Sad to see they let him go the way they did.

Oh my gawwwd, I can’t quite believe what I am hearing - Captain Lee IS Below Deck. He Captained the entire Below Deck franchise and to think he won’t be there Captaining his series, is like taking the butter off popcorn to me - you can still eat the popcorn but it’s just not as enjoyable as when it has that warm butter drizzled over it. For myself, Below Deck May still be filmed and some may enjoy watching the episodes, but now it will always be missing the ‘butter’....

I always thought Captain Lee was the best, what happened? I never liked or watched Captain Sandy until I was forced to when Captain Lee got ill and had to go home for a while.

I haven’t watched Below Deck after I heard that they let Captain Lee go. Eddie, Ben and Lee were the heart of the show and now that they’re gone, the heart of the show is gone.

The antics of the crew always met with the spicy commentary from the salty old sailor. We would watch and say ooh what's Cap'n gonna say about that ?! It just won't be worth watching without him😢

Yes I watched Captain Lee last season. If I were a passenger on, I would be extremely concerned about his ability to intervene in any sort of issue that occurred on default. Unfortunately, as a captain of a boat, I would think he would need to have the ability to move around.

As far as Capt Sandy’s firings..u sometimes need to act swiftly in the moment. Yes, u would want to get that call on the topic, but it wasn’t the first mate she was letting go. Capt Lee is right that a call was the best route, but it was no big deal. We would love him back.
