I like the space theme as well. I also have noticed that this park doesn’t shy away from Easter eggs referencing old attractions. I think it would be pretty cool if they paid homage to disaster transport with a new modernized version. (Possibly even reusing the name like they did with shoot the rapids)

I had a dream that the dragster got an LSM launch. That’s it nothing else. But it was super cool to slowly roll onto the launch with the audio going, “Keep arms down, head back, and hold on.” And as it finished the audio cue it shot off to 125mph
Sounds like a cool dream, if my dreams include rollercoasters it's always about how I don't get to ride the coaster lol
I like the idea of the space retheme. I can imagine a voice saying 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!!!! TTD being rethemed to a rocket ship would be pretty cool, since the ride already replicates the feeling of being blasted into space in a rocket ship.

I agree with your predictions on TTD's layout and launch. If they remove Corkscrew, it should be replaced by a new thrill coaster.
Yeah that's fair, I just figured since they might spend a lot of money on Dragster they might not be able to replace Corkscrew with another coaster
It’s insane to think that we won’t ever see top thrill in the same way again, but who knows
I know, I'm mainly sad about the probable theme change as I really love the Dragster theme

Great video and very "doable". You might just be spot on. I was thinking that maybe they would try to go 500' high. But I believe CP has to formally submit and get approved by city and/or state. Typically, that gets leaked out and I haven't heard anything and since CP is already moving on this, it seems logical that they are not going higher than it is already.
Thanks! And yes I'm pretty sure there would have been a leak for permits for a 500 foot tall ride by now, so I don't think they'll go with that

Personally... I think ur spot on. There will not be additional track added nor will it be taller (just to beat records) I feel CP already has other bigger ideas in mind for tallest coaster in the world record. TTD will be just as you said. Full re-tracking, New launch and trains and possibly a new name to go with it.
This is indeed what will happen. The RMC T-Rex at 500 is still a possibility in my opinion in 5 to 10 years. I think they will wait until the T-Rex at other parks when its done has high reliability.
And they also wouldn't be able to change the height unless they modified the main support structure, which would be hard to do since it's 420 feet tall

There’s so much potential for this ride.. i trust the cedar fair team but I really hope the reimagined launch is as intimidating as the dragster concept. It added so much anticipation and excitement
Yeah one thing I didn't mention in the video is that I really hope it doesn't have a rolling launch as I think that would just ruin the experience
It will not be an upgrade they are totally dismantleing the ride they are gonna replace it a totally new ride what exactly remains to be seen
I know that you might not agree with this, but I think they could go for the new hight record. For example, if you were working so hard to rip up a 420 ft coaster, I think that they would think maybe "oh, since were tearing up this huge coaster and this much land, maybe we can make something better" But honestly I think you pretty spot on with the predictions. great video!

You have a good idea BUT, a couple weeks ago people yelled "intimin workers" at them and they looked. and then before that intimin had TTD on LSM lunches on their website same with Xelerator at knots. I don't thing they will change the name and the theme because they still have the count down thing before you get lunched they would be one of the first things they would take down and they wont change the name because how far back the name goes and how iconic it is that's what I think.
Yeah I just thought since they didn't like working with Intamin they wouldn't want to work with them on this project. Also I think there will be a theme and name change since the winner's circle and sign are both gone.
When do you expect cedar point to officially announce the upgrade to top thrill dragster. In my opinion it could be done at Iaapa 2022. Or maybe sometime in January of 2023.

When do you expect the upgrade will be completed to top thrill dragster. Also do you expect it to open in 2023 or 2024. What manufacturer do you think it is involved with the upgrade of it isn’t Intamin.
Since I don't think they're adding any more to the layout, I would say it will probably open for the 2023 season. I think they might work with S&S, but I don't think S&S has done an LSM launch. I also think Vekoma could be an option.
