It might be the end of streaming.. not sure yet.
Why?
The Boss #05-07 recording was somewhat corrupted as you'll see some parts got "skipped", not sure why or how it happens since I don't think Boss #01-04 had any of those skipping problems.
or maybe I'll stream just going around then shut down streaming to record boss battles.. that can work too (at least it'll be much more safer and I know it won't be corrupted).
Or maybe I can even get a cheap webcam or something that can "direct feed" off what my monitor shows, it could save the cpu power so I can record while playing (probably less laggy too.. but we'll see).
Because I use:
- VHscreencap to "capture" what I see on my monitor
- Adobe Flash Media Encoder to encode for streaming (required)
- ArcSoft Viewer which is what I use to watch and record (required)
Having all three eats up my cpu to 100% usage.. if I can find a way to "capture" another method it could free up the cpu.

He's trying to teach Light a lesson. His gauge goes up when she heals Hope. He's saying "Hope's coming with you. Tough."
You’re right Odin was mainly attacking hope. And that would make you heal him.

When a l'cie becomes consumed by dispair and cannot find the strength to move forward the Goddess takes pity on them and offers to release them from the cruel fate they cannot accept.

What you can see is that Odin only attacks Hope most of the time. Its like he shared the feelings from Light and wanted tô jill Hope for good.

I think he mainly attacked Hope b/c Odin was testing Lightning's ability/determination to protect others. If I remember correctly, the Eidolon's come to them(L'Cie) to test them during their most tumultuous times in their struggles.
@@chadtheall682 It is for that reason that I almost feel like Lightning should've been a sentinel instead of a medic, precisely so she could protect hope in this fight.
He attacks Hope for a few reasons. The commonly accepted is that he can see into Lightnings heart and knows she does not really want to leave him behind so he draws her to act in her true maternal protective nature. The other theory is that Hope simply has a connection to Bhunivelze the God of Light and Lightning has a connection to Etro the Goddess of Death.

Well played. I only had trouble with Odin when I first played the game.
It's all about increase the bonus gaugue with the ravagers and healing when needed with medics.

When you Pardigm Shift, it doesn't have that effect on the sound it originally did. I don't know why (even though it's a minor detail).
Just Yin and Yang for both.... make sure and have some heavy gauge on Odin but not difficult just a bit time consuming lol

@@ItsCreaidan Well, its actually not that difficult if you have good equipment, just make sure you have enough HP so you dont need to cure every second.

I do a tactic fairly similar to this. But, sometimes when I go to attack there is a recoil that kills me instantly even when my HP is full.

why is the target time so high for eidolons battle i mean doom kills you in 3 minutes tops and i always wonder why high level bosses never give you any cp really feels cheap afterwards

This bastard was hard to defeat. One thing I don like about the JRPG is boss fights are tough to get through with brain.

This part is likely the most important part because it connects Hope and Lightning to one another which is extremely important to understanding why Lightning behaves the way she does in at the end of Lightning Returns.
The irony is if Bhunivelze could see into Lightnings heart the way Odin could he would have never used Hope as his puppet. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. 🤷🏼♂️
Yes!!! I finally beat him just now. My advice is LEVEL 5 SPARK RING for both characters is a MUST!! And the first thing you should do is cast libra and start off with Symbiosis paradigm so you can heal while casting your protection spells.
What Items do i use to upgrade a level 1 spark ring?
You can win against Odin naked, and without libra, every eidolon gets beaten as soon as the gestalt gauge fills up
That was very shitty advice, spark ring is completely useless in this fight as most of his attacks are melee, like 80%...

heyyy,, when i read faqs it says to hit square when i guess the guaze above his head is full... im playing 360, so what button would that be? i keep dying and not understanding what to do
for anyone playing in 2022 on xbox, pls just press x when gestalt bar is full 😭 i died like 15x before i read the booklet and figured it out
the only advice i can give is to slow down the combat speed and switch to dualcasting when he holds his shield up

finally defeated this s*** lightning will be an awesome character from now on...
This is impossible, it would be doable if he didnt aoe me all the time, I cannot cast a single spell because he non stop hit both characters. Plus we both have around 600hp and he combo us for 500dmg and I barely can heal us with a potion otherwise we are both dead.
I watched your vid again and when your fight ends when it should, mine is stuck right before the Gestalt letters and just wont move past that no matter what. I thought at first I am doing something wrong or whatever and am not in time on normal and switched to easy but it is the same. No matter if I heal Hope or hit Odin with thunder, it just wont finish the fight for me and is stuck in the same spot.
Odin isn't hard. All you have to do is move fast, and set up the right Paradigm.

I barely use my shrouds tough. I have a lot of aegisol and fortisols though. I used up my deceptisols in chapter 5

all of these Bosses have Infinite HP , you need to find a way to fill their Bar
Shiva : use the Provoking alot and once she Attacks , use your Shield
Odin : Heal Hope alot and attack him with Ravager abilities ( i think , not sure about the 2nd)
Brynhildur : i dont really remember that one is very easy i think i was using Ravager or buffing )
Bahamut : i dont remember , i always got it 1-3rd Try

Hekantocheir : this f*cker just is OP as hell and i once had to start a new file bc of him , i think you need to debuff him and use Ravager
Minene Uryuu922 i meant his characters had more health. anyways' im at chapter 11 now part 4. havent fought Hektantocheir but what has worked on these eidolons so far is spamming ravager and filling the gestalt bar instantly. i also did a shit load of farming before fighting barthandelus the first time so im stronger than a normal joe

mia.ami.mai All you have to do is have lightning heal hope the entire time to beat it. Just like Snow has to guard most of his time. It's not about BEATING the Eidolon it's linked to something to do with the users trait.

Shiva Twins are easy. You can win by simply guarding when Nix attacks (Stiria tends to cast Curaga on you quite a bit so you almost never have to heal yourself). Ravager abilities will merely speed up this process.
For Odin, you need to keep Hope alive and kicking (literally) and spam Ravager abilities when Odin puts up Ullr's Shield.
Brynhildr requires buffing your team along with (again) spamming Ravager abilities.
Bahamut is a bit tricky; I recommend going into the fight with Fortisol and maybe Aegisol as well (for Haste as well as a few defensive buffs) since he hits hard and fast. Ravager, Sentinel, and Saboteur abilities together are the way to go. Smart Bomb (SAB/RAV/RAV) is especially useful; with Haste active, you can end this fight in about 45 seconds using that paradigm alone.
Alexander hits like a truck, but is slow. Buff and heal your party mid-battle and spam Ravager abilities whenever possible, and don't let Hope take lethal damage.
Hecatoncheir is arguably the hardest Eidolon fight, but thankfully the last. For this, you need to switch between offense and defense regularly. While Looming Wrath is active, spam Ravager and Saboteur abilities. While Hec is attacking you, focus on defense and healing. TIP: Try to keep Fang in Sentinel as much as possible to make sure Vanille doesn't get slaughtered by Hec's attacks.

It took me 5-6 tries to beat this boss. I kept failing because I also saw Hope as a liability and just straight up did not like him. So, I never healed him lmao
Then I was like "fuck it, I'll keep the little shit alive and keep using him as bait since the boss is on him for some reason". The whole time, the condition for "beating" the boss was to help Hope.
This was very unexpected for me. Still didn't like Hope even after all that lol

I agree looking back this game was really bad. It employed alot of unnecessary systems for both combat and rating combat. Talked about most of the lore instead of showing you. And really average characters. It didn't deserve sequels it was just average on it's best of days.
