      *Making up fake narratives*
She does know nothing . Everything she says either are made up, or she gets from somewhere else. She mostly reads, copies and collects these "news", rumours, fabrications and lies from internet, US backed Radio Free Asia,Daily Mail and South Korean conservative/anti-N. Korean newspapers (Dong-A Ilbo,Chosun Ilbo, Donga Ilbo, Munhwa Ilbo and Segye Ilbo South ). All of these have been criticized for spreading false news and rumours with no evidence. They've been proven wrong countless times before and have never apologized.
And then she, with a large portion of additional hoaxes, integrates them into her own fake stories & narratives! She pretends & presents these rumours and fabrications as facts , and as if they are info. about factual events passing to her from her own connections.

She steals or copies/ "appropriating elements from other grifters' escape stories" !! Even her book reads almost identical to Hyeonseo Lee's book! She had some major inconsistencies in her tellings and some things she said were just completely illogical and then I realized that she just copied it out of Geroge Orwells 1984 and animal farm or the movie Red Sparrow.
*It's not an authentic biography. The "Yeonmi of Faith" should rather be considered as a literary construction, a dreamed up work (FICTIVE NOVEL), a hagiography which is designed to serve a political agenda and intended to authenticate the EVIL OF ENEMY, and vindicate the dominant/established narratives & portrayal of N .Korea. She can be seen as an invented PROPAGANDIST figure not as a REAL HISTORICAL figure.*
The lady found out it's not necessary to acquire some payable skill, all she has to do is open her mouth and start babbling some random shit about NK as if she knows something firsthand. I mean who is she to talk about the matters touched upon in the video? All she does is reciting rumours from the internet, what credibility does it add that some time ago she lived in the country?
She lies constantly,90% time. She keeps making up/exaggerating narratives in order to peddle to this audience of conservative Americans , and isn’t the way to go about it. There are things that either contradict or just don’t make sense. Unless she is a close acquaintance of top military officials, there’s no way that ordinary news or gossip could’ve made you privy to such details.
She makes a lot of money making up shit like this for westerners to drink. The lady behind this CZcams channel has changed her story multiple times. The more horrific the story, the more she gets paid. Yes there are many bleeding hearts trying to extract sympathy and ultimately money from the public through lies. I am afraid that the internet has given these unscrupulous leeches a platform in which to work their dirty scams and that can only grow.
It's pretty much 100% proven she's mouthpiece for far-right think tanks. She lives in the US. Her whole career and fame is centered around continuing to produce new sensational stories about NK so she makes stuff up. The biggest brats in the world are my fellow Americans. I constantly tell my kids to appreciate what they have here and my 12 year old son loves this channel because it's given him some perspective. He has some mental health issues that are being worked on, and one day he screamed so loudly the neighbors could hear him. We don't live in an apartment so if it's loud enough for neighbors to hear... He screamed that I was torturing him because I took his phone away for racking up $400 on BS gaming micro payments and I had him watch Yeonmi's video on things banned in NK. He didn't believe her regarding the internet, but he watched more and more of this channel and other stories from defectors. We have our problems in the States but it's still pretty effing good here in general. The main problem Americans have is not being handed everything and having to work for what they want. No you're not gonna be handed a 6 figure salary and whatnot, but the opportunity is there for you to work for it if you want it. Everything in this country is within reach if you choose to work for it. We have opportunities. I grew up in a pretty messed up situation with my parents but still managed to bust my butt to achieve the American dream. I have fantastic work/life balance, am in the top 10% income bracket, and own a home. I had to work for it, but am grateful the opportunities were there to begin with and had the freedom to pursue my dreams.

I get so angry with fellow Americans when they complain about how awful this country is. We have it pretty damned good here. Americans are so spoiled they have nothing better to do than spend time complaining about how awful they have it. It's not perfect, but no country is. I teach my kids about the pros and cons of here and other nations, but when my son screamed I was torturing him because he was grounded from his phone for racking up hundreds of dollars on our cell phone bill, I started giving him lessons regarding the really harsh realities millions of people face even today. It's given him some perspective. I started by having him listen to Yeonmi's story. I've taught him about Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge and Castro's horrendous treatment of Cubans. He was blown away by the concept of food rations. At first he thought it was cool the government gave vouchers for free food, but when I explained that Cubans still pay for the food and the vouchers are simply given because the number of vouchers you have are the limit of what you can buy, he was in shock. He struggled to comprehend a system where you're only allowed to buy so much milk or flour. Then when I told him that's only half the battle, that just because you have a voucher that allows you to buy milk doesn't mean the store will have it, he damn near broke down. The lines people wait in for hours only to enter the store and find the shelves empty is heartbreaking. Americans talk about things they really have no knowledge of and have the nerve to complain about being oppressed to people who have actually been oppressed. I feel absolute gratitude for life here because I could have just as easily been born in NK or Cuba.

This is it. I’ve traveled to a lot of crazy places (not North Korea, however) and you really see just how crazy good you have it. For me, I’m Canadian, sure Canada has its issues, every country does. But the air doesn’t smell like pollution, there is enough to eat, the water isn’t purple from factory dumping, people have rights, and there is a safe standard of health care and cleanliness. It’s not run by some psycho religious fringe group, and nobody has a right to put their hands on me without my permission. I don’t live in one room with 10 other people, I have access to sexual health and contraception, I have access to education and don’t need to go work in a factory at 12 to support my family, I can keep cold food cold, hot food hot, I can be friends with or marry whomever I want. I mean there’s so much you lose when you go to some other places.

Not only do we learn about ourselves and develop resilience that you will never ever gain if you block everything that's unpleasant. That's why American kids today are so easily corrupted and easily broken in spirit. They have no clue how to stand strong in the face of adversity. Not to mention that's why we are no longer a totally free country. It allowed censorship to be an acceptable act. She understands what it means to be American way more than most Americans now do

*What do they mean by "FREEDOM" for N. Korea?*
It is all about imperialistic interests! USA has been behind many dirty and brutal war/aggressions and military coups against/in third world countries , resulted in millions victims ! They want to install a puppet regime in N.Korea, like They have done in many third world countries such as Iraq, Central America , Egypt ,etc, in the service of big international capital and rob the country! Those Countries (dominated third world countries) are famous for poverty, and squalor...... Because US Corporations have been stealing resources from them for decades!! The want to force N.Korea to worship and declare IN GOD WE TRUST the national motto of the United States, inscripted on dollar.
The government of America as controlled by multi-national corporations, look no further than News Corporation with it's roots in Australia and of course many Israeli corporations and with lots and lots of influence out of the corrupt UK including and especially the monarchy, they are the imperialist pigs, the bulk of Americans just got a bit lazy and let their government get wildly out of controlling and are being attacked by it as well. The government is fascist and have been for a decade or so and it is difficult to guess how bad they will become, before it starts getting better.
It's all very clear to me now, and it should've been clear to me years ago, but now I know why other countries refer to the Americans as, "imperialist pigs" or capitalist pigs. As an Australian, it was a very sad realization to discover the country I regarded as a "good friend" is actually a super-villain and we shamefully side with it! The PEOPLE of America are great, but the state is an imperialist pig :
      --from Senator Albert.I. Beveridge's speech in the U.S. Senate, January 9, 1900 :
"God has....made us the master organizer of the world to establish system where chaos reigns. He has given us the spirit of progress to overwhelm the forces of reaction throughout the earth. He has made us adepts in government that we may administer government among savage and senile peoples. Were it not for such a force as this, the world would relapse into barbarism and night. And of all our race He has marked the American people as His chosen nation to finally lead in the regeneration of the world. This is the divine mission of America, and it holds for us all the glory, all the happiness possible to man...."
"That flag has never paused in its onward march. Who dares halt it now - -now, when history's largest events are carrying it forward......"
      - Henry Cabot Lodge, 1895 :
*"We have a record of conquest, colonialism and expansion unequalled by any people in the Nineteenth Century. We are not about to be curbed now."*
*America , the Caribbean" and a racketeer for capitalism" :*
In 1914 , U.S Marines invaded Vera Cruz to protect considerable U.S interests in Mexico. After some eight rebellions against U.S domination rocked Haiti in less than four years, President Woodrow Wilson sent the Marines to occupy that country a second time, installing a puppet regime and then annexing the Island outright as a U.S protectorate in 1915. Troops were to stay there for nineteen years. In 1916, U.S Marines similarly invaded and occupied the Dominican Republic for the forth time(and kept troops there for eight years), and the U.S. Army went on a "punitive expedition" in Mexico to go after revolutionary forces led by Pancho Villa. As Wilson explained," I am going to teach the South Americans Republics to elect good men".
Smedley D. Butler.Commandant of the U.S Marines, later exposed the role of U.S armed force during this time. After bluntly characterizing his function as that of " a racketeer for capitalism", he went on :
*“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”*

When you are born and raised in slavery and totally insulated from outside information you will not have any desire to change your status since you are constantly told that you are the top living the most wonderful life. God bless you all

I appreciate you so much. You have taught me things I need to know. I pray for North Korea daily for freedom. My heart aches for these people. So pray God bring down this regime. I also pray for your safety.

I can't imagine living in a country where there are no homeless shelters, no laws to protect women from abuse, no 911, no police to investigate child abuse, nothing. It saddens me thinking about all of the crimes being committed in North Korean households and all of the gulags holding innocent citizens. Stress of no food, no heat and alot of villages dont even have running water. Starvation was even worse during the pandemic, and I'm pretty sure there are still North Korean families .gnored by the govt and starving to death. What a hell hole. I hope to see the North Koreans liberated in my lifetime.
