In this Jewish History lecture given for the fast of Tisha B'Av, David examines Jewish discussions on the death of Titus, the Roman general who presided over the siege in Jerusalem which led to destruction of the Second Temple.
Unsurprisingly, many Jewish commentators throughout history have painted Titus, who followed his father into the role of emperor, in a negative light. However, others claimed that Titus was far from the worst Roman emperor or general for the Jewish people.
In this talk, David explores a Midrash which contends that Titus died from a gnat entering his brain via his nasal passage. This gnat, it suggests, was divine punishment bestowed upon Titus for his wicked behaviour towards the Jewish people.
David examines how this Midrash relates to historical accounts of Titus' death as well as later discussions on this text. He also discusses kabbalistic ideas concerning this Midrash and the mystical power and purpose of Jewish history for the world.
This lecture was recorded during the height of the 2020 COVID lockdown in Melbourne as part of a Tisha B'Av service hosted by Hamayan.

"It's a passion" - you heard that right folks, they either were hypocrites, dumb, deaf and blind, or basking in the glory (or they knew what they were doing).

    And, also:
I guess, rather, it should'a clicked what "naturalism" was referring to when I first started hearing "Catholics" complaining about it.

Btw - "They're the Tchuss" (nothing to do with Germany, though, Heidegger once said something was fishy about philosophy in French).
Ever heard of the Martinist Rite of Freemasonry? The one Masonic Lodge that fought tacitly _for_ rather than against Hitler?
Cuz their seal is the "Star of David".
And "Martinez Pasqually" (their historical founder) claimed to be "a Jew", but there is no real record of that.

I don't know where I'm going with that to be honest, but Ithink I've established that Saint John's Jesus is "a Gnostic" ("We know"), the doctrine of the holy fool goes back to Saint Paul, and Dionysus the Areopagite was his companion.

Marcion held some outrageous beliefs about how Cain was saved because no matter what he still believed, whereas more pious people would think they're being tested.
Abel was the first man to die.
Jealousy is the root of all evil somewhere in the Puranas.

"Judah" means "Praised", so does "Muhammad" (from "Ahmad"). The first is in James Strong's dictionary, the latter generally admitted among Muslims as of some import, as it comes up in "their" prophet, Habbakuk.

I've yet to get into the real historical context of the development of confucianism, such as the reading of tne neo-confucians, or philosophers of the dao after Confucius

It's not the whole "Council for National Policy", it ain't the whole "Council on Foreign Relations" - but you can see why people might get in a huff over the confusion of why a society founded by a dead guy who literally openly stated (in his will) he wanted to take over the world for "British Empire" running U.S. foreign policy might "provoke" (as in, emphasis on that word) some "conspiracy theory", right?

Also, "Hasidic" has the same semantic meaning as "Essene", and Chabad is from Ukraine. And the Essenes were apocalyptic communists who evidently plotted to take over the world.
    And hated women. ("pious fool")
And also rhyme with "Iceni" over in Briton, which I think has a lot to do with the Bible.
