  • Welcome to a low impact walking video that will improve your cardiovascular system and increase overall strength and stamina!
    “60 Minute Walking Workout for Seniors and Beginners | 5000 step workout"
    Want a longer at home walking workout to get your steps in? This 60 minute walk is just the ticket! Mom gets in 5000 steps with this walk, but you may rack up more or less depending on your pace. It consists of 6 sets of 4 exercises in intervals of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 seconds. Add more challenge by adding light weights or increasing the tempo during intervals.

    Some notes:
    ✅ Clear your workout area. If you have loose rugs, move them out of the way or tape them down.
    ✅ Stay hydrated and have water handy. Drink during breaks.
    ✅ Go at your own pace. This is a long workout so rest when needed. It’s ok to pause the video and take a break.
    ✅ If you want more challenge, pick up some light weights and/or pick up the pace during the intervals.

    Hi lovely ladies, I’ve just finished this 1 hour walking work out, I absolutely loved it. I managed a brilliant 5,500 steps, so pleased with my self.     I've been doing this workout 2x each week and I am reaping the benefits to both endurance and strength.
    I hope that you make more like this; I love and banter and miss by own mother so much - who would have been about the same age as Aiko. My mother had such an absurdist sense of humor! She was a lot of fun.

    Wow!!! Just what I needed. With all the graduation parties and weddings I've attended, and ALL that food, this hit the spot. Wasn't sure I'd be able to complete i, but I did. And not sure I hit the 5000 steps but it was close! I have to get FITBIT! Hats off to u both for this great and enjoyable video & hats off to me for finishing !!!!!

    Amazing combination of exercises that were really fun to do. I also live in a desert climate with early morning temperatures in the mid 80's climbing over 100 by mid-day. I take my dog, Ginger out at sunrise for a long walk and then we head home to exercise in the air conditioning with our favorite coaches. I exercise and Ginger runs around with her stuffed toys. This is my new favorite workout.

    Thank you for this video! Im 30 years old and became chronically ill from covid 15 months ago. I got pots, ist, and dysautonomia from getting covid. I went from being able to do anything, to barely being able to do anything without my heart rate spiking and causing me to be sick. Its also caused my body to become very weak. My cardiologist wants to me do some light cardio exercises. Other videos are too fast and not low impact like they say. They cause my heart rate to spike to dangerous levels and my body is too week to do them. I was able to do make it about 45 minutes in before i got tired! My heart rate only spiked a couple of times too! Thats a win for me! Its been hard to figure out how my body works now. This video will be one i do frequently! Thank you for this amazing video!

    ❤. I want to thank you for such wonderful exercises. I had a very bad pelvis disk problem and my doctor asked me to bed rest. With exercises and medicines I am fine. I told my brother that if I bed rest then my full body would be stiff and I shall get stuck to the bed. So I've started my exercises and I found it very helpful helpful. Now I'm able to walk better. 90 %of my pains in my hips, both my leg - pains've come down. Tq so very much for posting such wonderful exercises 😊. I really take time to do the exercises. Tq from the bottom of my heart. Lots of love to you and mom. My best wishes and regards to you both. Please can you teach me for my weight loss also. After bartiactic surgery I have now come down to 75 kg from 130 kg. It is 4 years now and am maintaining my weight. So please teach me the best exercises for further weight loss. This involves doing exercise intervals that get your heart rate up, followed by periods of active rest.     My friend Alice and I have been walking outside for two hours five days a week. We are able to do this because we are both 80 years old and retired with lots of time. We started doing the 60 minute walking workout last week when we had a lot of rain and we love it! It's giving us upper body exercise we don't get in our outdoor walks, and we really need that. From now on we're going to shorten our outdoor walks to one hour and do the workout after the walk. We had been doing the pre-walk stretch video before our walks. We love all of your very upbeat and happy videos and appreciate you're efforts in the interest of improving the health of us seniors. Thank you!

    There has been a lot going on recently and I haven’t actually done a workout since 5 April so I finally decided to get back to it today and did the 60 minute workout. I can say that by the last set I had hit 5000 steps I was losing a little steam by that point I slowed down, but I still got it doneand I used water bottles for the majority of it. Thank you so much ladies now I’m going to sit down and enjoy my protein shake.

    Walking 5,000 with both of you is super fun and overflowing with smiles -- especially the disclaimer about "no hot dog stand" at the finish line of the race! April, your visual cues for the moves (reaching high for your favorite coffee cup, starting a lawn mower, dinosaur arms, shaking mariachis) were creative and helpful. How you manage to keep your banter going while remembering all the exercises is impressive. Thanks for creating these longer workouts.

    I did it! I must admit that I felt very winded after the 30-minute mark, but if Aiko can still speak while keeping pace, I thought to myself that I can't give up! So I pushed through, and did the workout to the end in one go! (With the occasional water break, but I got my steps in. I am uncertain if they are 5,000, but my clothes are now clinging to me, and I am happy!)

    Did it! Thank you April and Aiko. I hit 5000 steps and used 3 lb. weights for most of it. Endurance has been a problem but I'm getting stronger and completed the exercise without a break.

    I love this “up-pyramid” format!! Keeps things interesting with changing up the moves every 20-30-40-50-60(X4) round! Would love more like this. Your mom had some pretty awesome moves too 😁

    Hello A&A!!!! I just did this one and I love it. I love them all and I need all of your videos but the 7000 steps one is my all time favorite. I play it every single day for the conversation as well as the walk. I feel like we are all siblings (not mother/daughter/cat + CZcams fan). I laugh and walk and it blesses me daily!

    Loved this workout! I appreciated having something longer to tackle and thought it was great that it was so easy to ramp up or dial down the exercises. Super pleased to have hit over 5,000 steps and it is only 7:20am!

    Just finished this series, I almost quit several times, closed my eyes and expanded everything you have taught me and made over 6000 steps,yeah!! and if I had quit I wouldn't have seen Aiko peeking through her hands at the end lol. that right there was worth it, I am keeping this one as a daily!     This is the second time I did this workout with weights. I am planning to do it once a week as it is really good for helping me with endurance. I put a lot of effort into the movements and it's not so intense that I get nauseous and have to stop - but I sweat!

    This time it was easier. My goal for this week is 10 minutes in the morning, and this exercise in the afternoon. Except on Sunday. Then I will do some stretching! Looking forward to seeing you and Aiko tomorrow!

    I missed my workout this morning...so I decided to try this one...never thinking I would make it...but I did! Doing the daily challenges has really helped...I feel so good....kudos ladies...my body thanks both of you :)
