This honestly breaks my heart. To have the opportunity to meet Caleb and have him help her work out a plan to get out of debt and she just threw all of his advice away. It's thanks to finding Caleb's videos that I paid off the last of my credit card debt today and we're getting started on my husband's credit card next month.
I wish she brought up the fact that she was blacklisted from a lot of opportunities thru twitch/CZcams bc I think that really impacts how things are for her now.

Man, this girl got me steamed! Not only is she not a credit card person, she is not an alcohol person. Girl, stop drinking alcohol! Save money from drinking, don’t waste money on IVs. Use the time to you would waste going out for drinks to add an extra hour or two of streaming. Get your taxes sorted out pronto! Maybe find a different therapist because not sure that the one you are seeing is working. Your mom isn’t good at finances, that’s been your excuse so far for your troubles, but you know the resources are out there to improve your financial situation, so read a couple books! Take responsibility for yourself. You are nowhere for buying a house, so table that idea for a couple years. Clear your debt, get control of your spending habits, save and invest money, and then you can think about that.

I think she has a self-esteem problem, not a financial problem. She buys these things because she doesn't feel good about herself. She said it herself when she said that American Express makes her feel loved. Most everybody who buys high cost brand products really have a self esteem problem.
By the way, I'm in Austin, and Tysons tacos is GOOD!! And cheap too. I don't blame her for eating there.
This. It's consuming my ex-wife and she's going to self-implode one day. If it were just her, meh, she's an ex. but she's also the mother of my kids, and its dragging them down with her.
Self esteem should be earned, not inherent.
This is why we need to teach financial literacy and home economics as mandatory for high school graduation
They purposely don't teach financial education in public schools and college primarily because the original goal of school is to teach kids how to be the perfect corporate employees or government workers. Financially literate people dont become "employees", they become entrepreneurs and employ other people. It breaks their system if the free thinking people stop and realize they are slaves

Just a thing on Factor - I Ioved eating with them, but they don’t let you choose your meals unless you live in certain area. It’s not advertised until after you sign up, so I don’t want anyone feeling like they got the short end of the stick.

I understand that you guys are offended about Graham doing a Factor add since he promotes grocery shopping because its cheaper.
Even though Factor is pricey, its for individuals who can't cook, too busy to cook or are addicted to fast food.
This is a better alternative for these people. I have a family member who uses this and is very busy as a healthcare professional and full time student. This has helped her not get fast food. Its one less worry. Food is taken care of.
Graham has always recommended that there is no price limit to your health. A meal service is probably included in that statement if it keep you out of take out drive thrus.

A good financial advisor is 20% finance, 80% therapist. People's habits and limitations are what are in their way. Financial education matters, but is such a small portion of the problem.

Not paying taxes… good grief! I’m self-employed, and I take 25% of my gross income and stick it in a high-yield savings account (currently 4.5% interest) and don’t touch it until tax time. This is my first year needing to do this (I’m basically single now and will be officially soon), since my husband always covered the small amount of taxes on what I earned. But I can’t expect that anymore, and I do just gig work, so I have to make sure I don’t spend what I need to save. I transfer it the same day I deposit it, or as soon as it clears (usually same day; I keep enough in my checking as a buffer that it’s fine). Anyhow, I can’t imagine being this irresponsible with money.
You know, what I started to do recently: I don't want to be forced to hit the like button, but I want to help the channel tremendously, so what I do is I HIT THE LIKE BUTTON BEFORE GRAHAM ASKS FOR IT.

Graham u took the words out of my mouth. She is wasting calebs valuble time. I bet she did this financial audit to think she is better than caleb bcuz she has more credit cards and amex loves her when in reality thats her perception. If she ever ends up having kids she will have no choice on changing her financial habits. And even now she should choose it for herself.
Caleb should also reccomend therapy for some of his guests. Bad relationships can cause bad financial decisions.
Like letting family control you/your money, taking care of bum family members, hanging out with friends who like to drop money, and being with a partner who doesnt allow you to save.
All these examples are emotional and financial control. Something a therapist can help with.
he recommends therapy for most of his guests because it's good for everybody. tell me you only watch his snippets on other shows and not HIS SHOW without telling me.

During Covid my bank committed fraud and What they did was I paid my mortgage on the first and stopped using the card and they changed the date of the spectrum from the 23rd to the second so it looked like it was charged afterwards and then charged my a overdraft fee. Then they charged an overdraft fee for that and so on until it maxed out over negative $5K. I still have screenshots from the pending date of the 19th, when it originally finalized on the 23rd, the finalized date of the first, and a screenshot of when they edited all the dates and claimed it was a computer error and would only offer to refund $35. They then took down my review with the screenshots by claiming sexual content for some reason.

This girls biggest reality check: no no no. More aderal is not going to just magically fix her finances. Coming from my own experience and many others all over the world: Pills are only a tool 🔧to help you but you have to take the initiative yourself.

Wow gram I thought you was using green screens this whole time. Props on the set sir. But for a healthy tip don't heat up food in the plastic containers your food comes in. Remove it on to a glass plate then eat it. The amount of BPA and plastic & forever chemicals that leaks into your food because of Styrofoam and plastic containers is scary. Always buy water in a glass bottle instead of a plastic bottle for example. OG subscriber here thanks for all the info you give us.

These people have no self control, so you should waste your money on Factor.
It's interesting seeing Graham partnering with Factor given that he spent his CZcams career promoting financially sound decision making when it comes to eating out, buying groceries etc. I definitely understand wanting to do brand deals to make your income but I think that the partnerships you make should be in-line with your brand/content.
Factor isn't eating out. It's a meal service. It's healthier and cheaper than buying take out.
Your health should not be played with. Graham always recommends that your health should be your priority and there's no limit to how much you spend on it.
Factor is better for busy individuals, people who can't cook or people addicted to fast food.
You won't save money like making your own food from the grocery store but it's a better alternative!
My sister uses this service as a healthcare professional and going to school full time. It's a bit pricey but it's one less thing to worry about. Food is taken care of.
@@asdfghjkl-oo7lv plenty of cheaper ways to eat healthy even if you’re busy. I use a meal service but I recognize it’s a luxury, not a necessity. Graham used to talk about meal prepping as one option. He is also not the type that would have paid for Factor himself, he often mentioned how he has a relatively bland taste buds and would eat a ham sandwich to save money because he didn’t care what he ate as long as it was cheap. I am not saying that’s the way to go but creators should promote things they would actually usr and pay.

I love your videos and although I usually lurk, I kind of felt I had to comment this time. Both you and Caleb are making one important and critical mistake, which is to not fully grasp the underlying issues that cause her financial situation to be this bad. The Adderall mentioned and all the stories she goes off on about everything are most probably ADHD related, and her being neuroatypical comes with huge impulse issues, especially impulse spending. It also means she will try to make herself look good because someone with ADHD doesn't take rejection well, whether it be real or perceived because she might think everyone hates her because she made mistakes. Let's not forget the other part of your brain that's affected is your executive function, which kind of makes it extremely hard for her to take action.
My guess is that it takes her far less energy to grind more than to control all her impulses and make drastic changes in her life. I am speaking from experience because although I know what I should do with my money and how to do it, although I've developped a lot of techniques to get myself out of spirals that lead to impulse spending, it's still something that takes a lot of energy, of which, contrary to popular belief, I have very little. Her spending issues are not a behavioral problem. She does need therapy, and I'd say she needs either coaching or a more targeted approach to tackle her impulse buying issues.
I'm sorry to say but Caleb's analysis, although in-depth and accurate, just because he's a. dismissive of her stories which probably speak a lot about what triggers her impulse buying and b. he seems to be so done with her which I can bet triggers her rejection issues will likely not hit its mark. Tough love sadly doesn't work on everyone. But people who are great at finance are probably not equipped to take a gentle and methodical approach with someone whose brain functions very differently than theirs. What I'd recommend when interacting with people in this situation is to first send them to a channel like How to ADHD, have them develop their own toolset to prevent as much as they can of their impulse buying, then maybe council them through taking steps towad correcting habits. A one and done analysis and plan of action is a bit of a waste of time. It gets people to watch because she seems to make excuses, be apathetic, and reach the wrong conclusiont, but that's about it.
Docs prescribe Adderall for anybody. She's not ADHD, she's a drug addict.
Caleb isn't a therapist
