He is in most of 1-3 of fanily guy though his charactirazation changes a bit in season 4 ownards I think it is becuase the writers wanted to distance fanmily guy from the simpsons since people at the time were calling family guy a simpsons rip off. Overall family guy season 1-3 and season 4 and onwards are very differnt shows with just the same characters.

Anyone find it kind of hilarious that Joe and Cleveland’s families had these crazy narratives go on in the background of the series.
Joe’s son goes to war, fakes his death and returns to find he has a baby sister and Joe never really brought his son’s death in some unrelated note.
Meanwhile Cleveland gets a divorce, meets a new lady and they have some new kids or some of them are her own? that somehow develop up to Meg and Chris’s age.
I am definitely fucking up some details but it’s kind of hilarious that these two just keep developing while the Griffins remain the same.

Dunno if it’s canon, but the common belief is when Cleveland and Loretta separated, one or either spoiled him and/or the stress caused an eating disorder and he gained a lot of weight.
I was thinking ADHD medication started the downfall honestly though that make sense too and without an in show explanation... anything possible
There actually was an explanation for it in The Cleveland Show, S4 E13. Fat Jr. was a spy that killed Skinny Jr. and took his place.
There was that one episode (and I'm not sure if its canon) but the newer Cleveland Junior ended up taking out the old Cleveland Jr and replacing him.
