So Chrollo had to watch to make sure he could dodge and Zeno synchronized his attack perfectly with the fake out because Zeno knows his son perfectly. @pokemontobias9721 At no point did I or anybody imply that Silva is stupid. Also, the scene we're talking about with Silva activating ren happens right AFTER Chrollo dismisses the conjured mantle. And more importantly, it happens just after he says that Chrollo isn't leaving any openings for him to attack. So he does the opposite, and uses a feint with Ren instead. I also think you're objectively wrong about them knowing each other's abilities. Firstly, if Silva knew anything about the specific conditions, he'd have shared that information with Zeno. Instead, Zeno was gathering simple information during the fight, and Chrollo was impressed. The fact that you remembered the fortune is amazing. You are correct, chrollo knew he wasn't going to die here because of the fortune, therefore he was merely trying to steal their abilities not worrying that much about dying since he knew that wouldn't happen (he was only trying his hardest to dodge since there was always the possibility of the fortune changing), but maybe, he got worried for a second when he saw that powerful emitter attack coming down on him.

Chrollo could have just decided not to do a requiem for Uvo if he wanted to once he knew the fortune, there's not some magical power forcing him to do it. If you know what's inside the fortune, you can change your future, that's the whole point, otherwise fortunes would be useless, if they merely told you "you're gonna die and there's nothing you can do about it" it would be a completely pointless ability. As an example, half the spiders being dead by the time the York New arc was done was a prediction proven wrong. So we have seen the fortune being wrong before. And since Chrollo knows that, he probably was slightly worried, wondering if he did something to change his future inadvertently. Not worried about dying cause that's not what he fears, but worried for the spider. But in the end, nope, it was all as planned.

Because Chrollo's fortune was written by Neon, not Chrollo, and Neon explained that it only works for the month (which she should know as she's been doing the fortune things for years). And we get a confirmation of that because Chrollo's fortune says half of the spider would die *before* it says he should go east. He did go east and found his nen exorcist which means that his prediction is over and the first part (half of the spiders died) did not come true before he went east. So the fortune can become wrong if you read them. And no, East does not refer to the dark continent because they're heading north so Chrollo's fortune was definitely about the exorcist.
You said it correctly, both Sylva and Zeno are Emitters, Togashi confirmed it recently in a Nen diagram he created. The missleading thoughts of them being Transmuter was due to an “official” databook that contains false info, which Togashi had corrected.
I feel like anime databooks get too crazy with their info. I remember reading some of the stuff that the Naruto databooks were claiming and some of those claims were straight up inconsistent with what the anime showed
@@mangalegends yea the Naruto data books aren’t exactly well received 😂 I mean it’s stated in the data book you’re referring to that Temari’s wind can blow away the universe… so yea I do think they overhype a lot of shit but for the most part they have a lot of canon info… again like the dbz data books specifically the daizenshuu have wonky statements but they are based in fact and the daizenshuu is considered to be a great book for the series… I think the best dada books tho are definitely bleach’s they contain manga statements and canon material that is built upon and kubo himself had a big part in the data book making many statements to make his characters and world have more value as well as build alot of characters up and telling hidden stories we never knew

He must ask about the ability and be answered by the victim. His victims palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret. All of the above must be completed within an hour.
I don't know if I'm tripping but there's another condition I've read somewhere that the original zetsu owner must be kept alive for their technique (s) to stay in the book

So there are 4 conditions to steal an ability (the ones celloh mentioned) and two additional condition to keep using the stolen ability (1. having the book open at the correct page in his hand and 2. the original user being alive). We do learn of a few more details and exceptions later on but that's not relevant to the anime.

Currently, Kurapika is the strongest overall fighter out of all the main characters, While killua is still the fastest and physically strongest, while Leorio is the 2nd physically strongest base on opening the zoldyck gate, while gon is the weakest, yet a more experience fighter and nen user than leorio.
Recent events in the manga confirmed that Zeno and Silva are both Emitters.

silva and zeno's skill most likely works by tansmuting their aura into a dragon/ball and then emitting them. Chrollo's book is likely a conjuration technique with the specialist "ability stealing" imbued into it, this makes sense since specialists have 60 percent affinity to conjuration
I don't think transmuting work that way. we have seen characters mold their aura into various forms and shapes without that being called transmuting. killua and hisoka transmute their aura into other properties. i think Zeno and Silva transmute their aura into energy of some kind. But giving the shape of a dragon or balls? thats another thing. Netero was probably the greatest enhancer ever and his aura took a curious shape just by training alone. Meruem could change his aura into photon-like particles and emitt them. Does that make it a transmuter ability? or an emitter? or both?
It's very important to know that Kurapika is not Specialist primarily, he becomes a specialist through his ability called Emperor Time. I also don't know why the anime didn't mention that Emperor Time shaves Kurapika's Lifespan.. it was such a important detail. So the conditions Chrollo has to meet to steal the ability may be difficult to achieve but Kurapika's the one who's paying most for his abilities.
He doesn’t become a specialist via emperor time , if anything emperor time is a result of his hatsu when he becomes a specialist, he turns into a specialist when his eyes turn red that’s why he trained to know how to do it on command, the ability provided by emperor time is a 100% proficiency in every nen category so technically if the drawbacks of emperor time weren’t so big , kurapika could create different specific hatsu for each nen category if he wanted
@@ds1448 the anime does say that his abilities drain from his life span though and the manga gives us more insight on just how much , I always ask myself the question of if kurapika will age away like guts or if when there is a cut in one’s life span it’s like in death note , you don’t see the physical repercussions but when the moment comes you die

The music in this eps sync with how the trope is killing people made this scene way better and the fight with the Boss is one of the best fights ive seen in the show by far.
HxH isn't among my favourites but the power system is the thing that i love the most about this series and nobody can deny the fact that Nen is the absolute best power system in anime.
Chrollo stole that blanket cloth ability from the shadow beast they had feitan torture to death named "owl" He had used it to wrap up their car and make it small.
This is not true. Hisoka killed the former no.4, silva killed the former number 8. There is no way hisoka will be in the phantom troupe if he didnt kill any memeber. Hisoka killed the number 4 so hes number is also 4.
Not sure if he killed 4 or 4 died before and the position was vacant. Killing a member isn't the only way to join. All that matters is vacancy, chrollos approval and the applicants agreement.
but you have to keep in mind that he didn't know (or at least wasn't sure) if chrollo was behind those doors, he was basically just searching room by room because he wasn't using his En as zeno was doing, so when his boss called him it was either he would proceed searching (not being sure if he'd find anything) with the risk of losing his job, or going back and then he would probably have another chance of meeting another Troupe member because he'd still be in the community.
As people are pointing out, its about short term vs long term. Sure, he could have gotten another fight, but no guaranteed after that, that he would ever be in a position near the spiders again. Having a shady rich boss, gives him more opportunities to meet again with them.
I'm still wondering why Silva and Zeno didn't teach Killua about nen, or why killua have no idea what nen is, when most of the Zoldyck family knows nen..
They have a particular training strategy in mind surely, where he is meant to be at his best without Nen first and then learn it. Milluki and Illumi having Nen makes sense considering they are much older, as for Kalluto there is absolutely no reason to believe they learned Nen from their family, the first time we see them use Nen is in Greed Island, months after they left the family and joined the Phantom Troupe, for all we know they learned it on their own or through the Troupe.
@@angrashadow2958 Dont be silly. The PT wouldn't let join Kalluto if he didn't have Nen training. Nobunaga recruiting Gon was just an irrational obsession of his and everyone doubted the boss would allow that. I think they didn't share Nen knowledge to Killua because they are just overprotective of him, because he has so much raw talent, but also is a sensitive boy. They saw him as a danger to himself I guess. Killua and Alluka share a same fate of being smothered by the same relatives but for different reasons and means.

I think the zoldycks have a separate schedule for killua and they wanted him to figure things out of his own. The rest of the children are just soldiers for the family and don't have "special treatment"
One thing people often miss is despite Chrollo & Zoldycks being on similar skill level, how hesitant and helpless Chrollo is to fight head on after their initial exchange. Being a specialist, Chrollo lies at the absolute bottom of the Nen chart. That means his Ren and Ten are the weakest part of his ability set. Both Zoldycks lie on the upper side, making any h2h fight to their advantage. This can be seen from how Chrollo's attack barely does any damage, while Siva and Zeno's attacks definitely break his Ten barrier. He even comments how he cannot block a concentrated Nen attack from Zeno using his Ten alone. Chrollo has multiple abilities which can defeat these guys, but until their conditions are met, Chrollo can at best dodge and weave in hope of survival
Zeno is clearly stronger than Chrollo both physically (the Zoldycks are monsters in term of raw power) and in term of Nen power (which makes sense, emission is very close from enhancement so assuming Zeno and Chrollo have a similar amount of potential and both have good training, Zeno would use a lot more raw power. And Zeno probably is better trained) but what's scary about Chrollo is the amount of options he has. It's impossible to predict what he'll do, you can be about to win and lose because he has a Joker specifically for that situation so that fight could end in an instant.
We can't really say who's stronger cause in their inner dialogue we can hear none of them felt they had the advantage in this fight. They all thought they were screwed. It all comes down to who makes the best move in the right moment. Chrollo's objective wasn't to kill them and he became prepared to do so. and their objective was to kill him as fast as possible to ruin his preparations. At the end of the day the outcome of that fight is still a mystery
@@kc_h7h You misunderstand me. I'm saying Zeno is stronger physically and in term of nen amount, not that he's stronger as a fighter in general. Of course there's no way to know who would win in a serious fight between Chrollo and Zeno which is exactly what I said at the end of my post. We know that Zeno is stronger in physical+nen because Chrollo literally tells us so: "so much potential, I won't be able to block that". If he was as strong as Zeno he would be able to block Zeno's attack with his own nen. But he's not so he can't. And we know he's not that strong physically because of the troupe ranking of physical strength where Chrollo is around the middle (in the top half, but still around the middle). Basically Zeno has a stat advantage but Chrollo has access to so many abilities and is a very smart fighter too so it impossible to say who would win.

That doesnt necessarily mean their stats are better then the other categories. It's just the attributes of those particular affinities

If both characters have the same amount of aura in their Ren and you punch as a 40% enhancement, your stats are 4 while the other guy's stat is around 9 is he's an emitter/enhancer mix. Being an enhancer will literally give you better stats than being any other category at equal level of talent/training. That's the point of enhancement.

Currently, Kurapika is the strongest overall fighter out of all the main characters, While killua is still the fastest and physically strongest, while Leorio is the 2nd physically strongest base on opening the zoldyck gate, while gon is the weakest, yet a more experience fighter and nen user than leorio.

silva and zeno's skill most likely works by tansmuting their aura into a dragon/ball and then emitting them. Chrollo's book is likely a conjuration technique with the specialist "ability stealing" imbued into it, this makes sense since specialists have 60 percent affinity to conjuration

I don't think transmuting work that way. we have seen characters mold their aura into various forms and shapes without that being called transmuting.

Netero was probably the greatest enhancer ever and his aura took a curious shape just by training alone. Meruem could change his aura into photon-like particles and emitt them. Does that make it a transmuter ability? or an emitter? or both?

It's very important to know that Kurapika is not Specialist primarily, he becomes a specialist through his ability called Emperor Time. I also don't know why the anime didn't mention that Emperor Time shaves Kurapika's Lifespan.. it was such a important detail. So the conditions Chrollo has to meet to steal the ability may be difficult to achieve but Kurapika's the one who's paying most for his abilities.
Imagine if you activate Emperor Time and accidentally went asleep, thus shaving your lifespan unknowingly

He doesn’t become a specialist via emperor time , if anything emperor time is a result of his hatsu when he becomes a specialist, he turns into a specialist when his eyes turn red that’s why he trained to know how to do it on command, the ability provided by emperor time is a 100% proficiency in every nen category so technically if the drawbacks of emperor time weren’t so big , kurapika could create different specific hatsu for each nen category if he wanted
@@ds1448 the anime does say that his abilities drain from his life span though and the manga gives us more insight on just how much , I always ask myself the question of if kurapika will age away like guts or if when there is a cut in one’s life span it’s like in death note , you don’t see the physical repercussions but when the moment comes you die

i remember that in manga, the troupe member killed by Silva is the previous #4 replace by Hisoka
This is not true. Hisoka killed the former no.4, silva killed the former number 8. There is no way hisoka will be in the phantom troupe if he didnt kill any memeber. Hisoka killed the number 4 so hes number is also 4.

Not sure if he killed 4 or 4 died before and the position was vacant. Killing a member isn't the only way to join. All that matters is vacancy, chrollos approval and the applicants agreement.

Because revenge isn't his only goal he also wants to take all the scarlet eyes back so he definitely needs this job
but you have to keep in mind that he didn't know (or at least wasn't sure) if chrollo was behind those doors, he was basically just searching room by room because he wasn't using his En as zeno was doing, so when his boss called him it was either he would proceed searching (not being sure if he'd find anything) with the risk of losing his job, or going back and then he would probably have another chance of meeting another Troupe member because he'd still be in the community.
As people are pointing out, its about short term vs long term. Sure, he could have gotten another fight, but no guaranteed after that, that he would ever be in a position near the spiders again.
Having a shady rich boss, gives him more opportunities to meet again with them.

I'm still wondering why Silva and Zeno didn't teach Killua about nen, or why killua have no idea what nen is, when most of the Zoldyck family knows nen..
They have a particular training strategy in mind surely, where he is meant to be at his best without Nen first and then learn it.
Milluki and Illumi having Nen makes sense considering they are much older, as for Kalluto there is absolutely no reason to believe they learned Nen from their family, the first time we see them use Nen is in Greed Island, months after they left the family and joined the Phantom Troupe, for all we know they learned it on their own or through the Troupe.
@@angrashadow2958 Dont be silly. The PT wouldn't let join Kalluto if he didn't have Nen training. Nobunaga recruiting Gon was just an irrational obsession of his and everyone doubted the boss would allow that.
I think they didn't share Nen knowledge to Killua because they are just overprotective of him, because he has so much raw talent, but also is a sensitive boy. They saw him as a danger to himself I guess. Killua and Alluka share a same fate of being smothered by the same relatives but for different reasons and means.
@@angrashadow2958 I disagree. Kalluto wouldn't be fitted as a member after just learning nen for a month. I think the zoldycks have a separate schedule for killua and they wanted him to figure things out of his own. The rest of the children are just soldiers for the family and don't have "special treatment"
One thing people often miss is despite Chrollo & Zoldycks being on similar skill level, how hesitant and helpless Chrollo is to fight head on after their initial exchange.
Being a specialist, Chrollo lies at the absolute bottom of the Nen chart. That means his Ren and Ten are the weakest part of his ability set. Both Zoldycks lie on the upper side, making any h2h fight to their advantage. This can be seen from how Chrollo's attack barely does any damage, while Siva and Zeno's attacks definitely break his Ten barrier. He even comments how he cannot block a concentrated Nen attack from Zeno using his Ten alone.
Chrollo has multiple abilities which can defeat these guys, but until their conditions are met, Chrollo can at best dodge and weave in hope of survival

Zeno is clearly stronger than Chrollo both physically (the Zoldycks are monsters in term of raw power) and in term of Nen power (which makes sense, emission is very close from enhancement so assuming Zeno and Chrollo have a similar amount of potential and both have good training, Zeno would use a lot more raw power. And Zeno probably is better trained) but what's scary about Chrollo is the amount of options he has. It's impossible to predict what he'll do, you can be about to win and lose because he has a Joker specifically for that situation so that fight could end in an instant.
We can't really say who's stronger cause in their inner dialogue we can hear none of them felt they had the advantage in this fight. They all thought they were screwed. It all comes down to who makes the best move in the right moment. Chrollo's objective wasn't to kill them and he became prepared to do so. and their objective was to kill him as fast as possible to ruin his preparations. At the end of the day the outcome of that fight is still a mystery
@@kc_h7h You misunderstand me. I'm saying Zeno is stronger physically and in term of nen amount, not that he's stronger as a fighter in general. Of course there's no way to know who would win in a serious fight between Chrollo and Zeno which is exactly what I said at the end of my post.
We know that Zeno is stronger in physical+nen because Chrollo literally tells us so: "so much potential, I won't be able to block that". If he was as strong as Zeno he would be able to block Zeno's attack with his own nen. But he's not so he can't.
And we know he's not that strong physically because of the troupe ranking of physical strength where Chrollo is around the middle (in the top half, but still around the middle).
Basically Zeno has a stat advantage but Chrollo has access to so many abilities and is a very smart fighter too so it impossible to say who would win.
@@Arkayjiya no because zeno is a emitter who also uses enhancement. Every enhancer dont necessarily have more nen, but they are able to enhance it and so destroy defence. That doesnt necessarily mean their stats are better then the other categories. It's just the attributes of those particular affinities

That's literally what it means. If both characters have the same amount of aura in their Ren and you punch as a 40% enhancement, your stats are 4 while the other guy's stat is around 9 is he's an emitter/enhancer mix.
Being an enhancer will literally give you better stats than being any other category at equal level of talent/training. That's the point of enhancement.
