I think this game is awesome. I am enjoying it very much, the balance with different strategies is spot on and the decision making is very satisfying. What a solid experience.

I also loved playing this game 2 weeks ago! So far, in my top 3 games of the year.

I love Oregon Trail the video game, played it so much as a kid on the apple II, might have to try this one

Just got this to the table and agree with these guys. Fun, short, good choices, and the theme works!

Has a lot of what I love about Grand Austria Hotel and Marco Polo (dice drafting, assymetry, staff/citizens, emperor/disasters, etc.) but in a cool, emergent theme that smacks of nostalgia, and all with excellent components. Giddy up!

Reviewed this a short while ago, loved it also and kept it in collection. Doesn't feel like Feld at all. Glad you all gave it the thumbs. I never actually paid attention to the art issue!

I'm glad this game got a Miami Dice review. I almost picked it up, but was curious how it plays. The price is a little high for me right now at $70.

So what's the punishment for having your phone ring during filming?

Loved this game. And I don't like punishing games.
A note on the audio quality of this video. Maybe you could turn of the airconditioning while recording?

Hey, in year of the dragon you never lose points. If there's famine and you can't feed your people, then you lose the people. If the mongols come they punch the weakest and kidnap a person. I'm not saying it is a game that is richly themed but it is not as bad as Zee says it is.

Did you guys just leave Sam to do all the "How to plays" whilst you're off gallivanting around conventions?

He's just the most likable of the three.
