Great review - thx guys! I was looking at an entry level kit but with some expansion as my skills improve. The nitro was going to be my choice, but I reckon I will spend the extra and get this with the additional sounds etc.

Update it’s been an hour and I bought this set on sale at guitar center. I also bought a strike 12 amp and a double bass pedal.

Nice presentation, thank you! I heard, there is an issue with the MIDI number for the hi-hat (open/close). So: does the module have the option of a software update (via USB?) and do you think the issue will be solved in any way?

Good video. Wot a dilemma, though - buy an acoustic kit for £500+ (half the price of this excellent Alesis set) or an electronic drum kit which needs electricity to be properly playable, needs an amplifier, won't annoy the neighbours if you use headphones (hello tinnitus, my old friend...) and costs over a grand.
What to do? Buy the E-drum kit!!
How different are the features from the Alesis DM 10 MkII Pro module?

it should work fine with one but it doesn’t come with a double kick pedal

Now with an updated mesh from the Alesis Strike kit, the Crimson II SE really finds its home as a good feeling kit with great samples!

Buy roland drums. If you’re a beginner, I would recommend you to buy td-11 it ranges about $500-$700 but it works good! And start watching stuff on youtube. Hope this helps’

yes it 100% will. I bought this kit and I have a tama iron cobra 900 with it and it works very well

No really, alesis CAN make kits that sound good !
Unsuitable for midi recordings! Because for open and closed hi-hat the Alesis sends identical notes.Or rather you can not set different notes according to general midi standard. Yes I have activated GM mode in the menu.
Not entirely complete. The kit sends the same midi note for open and close, but the pedal position is sent as CC4.
No answers to a single question! I'll go elsewhere
If only they didn't use the crappy hi hat pedal with this kit
