Bought this and I love it. It sounds great. I believe you just have Roland users hating but I been drumming for years. I wish I got an electric set years ago. Sounds like I’m in a concert. I couldn’t of been happier. I did see a Roland but I was getting less kits and about $800 more. Not a huge difference in sound in my opinion

If you hook it up to ez drummer or programs like it. The drums sounds insanely good, almost real. So the argument between what module sounds better becomes moot.

The first thing to go is the large center knob on your module. Simply remove the knob & remove the nut, remove the 6 screws on the back and unplug and remove. There are 4 little tabs you'll need to barely pull back and the circuit will separate and clean with WD-40 being very gentle. Blow the WD off with an air compressor, put back together and the dial is ready.

Amazing kit to play, really fast hi hat response, but the kick pedal response on the bass drum has to be hard, won't trigger on soft strikes, which leads me to double bass response hearing. But a beautiful response on the toms, snare . It didn't seem to be as res ponsive to crescendos on the toms, bit was on the snare. I'd say the snare and hi hat response are unbelievably good. Toms very good , bass drum needs a good kick. I was very impressed though by the playability. Superb. Felt better than a real acoustic kit. Great sounds too.

Was testing it in a music shop. Playability was amazing when not plugged in. Awesome. Maybe hi hat pedal can be second bass drum too like on Yamaha's kit.

I bought this kit and i love it. But i do have one complaint. Minus upgrading the cymbals. I bought a 2nd 12 inch pad to have an additional tom. This pad did not have the same syle muting foam in it as the rest of the kit. It is a good bit louder than the rest of the kit. Not a huge problem over all but i will admit i am a little disappointed in the lack of consistency. With that noted i would still buy it again.

I like the kit, but it still doesn't sound as real as the Roland TD/KV series. Maybe it's just the video quality, but it seems like the triggers haven't really been fully developed like Roland's. I need to play one in person before I decide to buy. Guess I'm going to Guitar Center tomorrow!

I was asking about the sounds being machine gunny. I listened more - they are.
Great kit for use with drum software.
Also I found it misleading saying there are two additional trigger inputs. The 2nd crash uses one of them leaving just the "tom 4" trigger inout available. Yes, you can connect a cymbal or drum pad to that input, but it's a little misleading.

It is beautiful, but I don't really believe on Alesis. I'm not to sure about buying an Alesis drumm. One of the complains it's, some times you hit any pad or tom, and sounds other I don't know why, but i have read same commenta from other deum players.

@@zuhalmuziktv i have an Alexis from 2016. its the crimson but it never came with the second cymbal. it has a port if I wanted to add one and to add another tom. anyways its an older model. the mesh bass head will not pic up double pedal if I try faster kicks, flutters, or other patterns. I've cranked the sensitivity and have adjusted the beaters multiple times. it will only pick up double bass if played say 16th notes at a tempo of 150bpm. I have found electric bass heads that are sold by themselves mainly because of this problem.
