Reminds me of the wannabe 'cool' parents who are so desperate to be popular, friends, with their children that they actually really let them down. It's pathetic and laughable but also a betrayal of one's duty to those who need them and who, frankly, are entitled to expect better.

When I was a leadership facilitator I used have a saying on my board: "We all want to be liked, if you need to be liked you will never be able to lead." The Bishop refers to understanding the times. Now, more than ever, the world needs a church that will speak the truth and live it.

Nonsense. Jesus Christ is the "Word made flesh". Correct, precise language is critical. It is a tool of the lunatic left to twist and bastardize language. Obvious examples: "choice" replaces abortion, "mistake" replaces SIN, "ecumenism" replaces heresy and on and on. I am grateful that the dictionary was always one of my favorite books. I suggest you look up DOGMAS and how the counterfeit Novus Ordo institution denies and corrupts them.

How can we win people over to the true faith of The Church when more than half the bishops won't practice it, nor preach it? I ask all to join me in praying daily that Our Father in Heaven would manifest The Holy Spirit to and in all these descendants of the Apostles of The Church of His Son Jesus The Christ. That The Holy Spirit would bring all these Bishops to repentance from their finacial corruptions and homosexual predations and all the apostosies and heresies they have promulgated in their pursuit of modernism and power. That The Holy Spirit would make ALL of these Bishops good and faithful shepards of The Church of His Son Jesus The Christ. That The Holy Spirit would protect and raise up all the bishops and priests that have remained faithful to the teachings of His Son Jesus The Christ.

It's a kind of Critical-Engagement (and when possible, Cautious-Receptivity). Modernity, like all things tainted by Sin, is a mixed bag, there is no perfect age, every age has strengths and weaknesses, positive emphases and blindspots.
The task of the Church is to be Biblical and faithful to Christ. Not to embrace or reject a thing whole-cloth. The twin errors to avoid are Modernist-Accommodation and Traditionalism (not to be confused with Tradition, but rather with an uncritical rejection of the modern simply because it's modern).

thanks for referencing the canadian residential schools. I also felt, that the church went out of its way to engage with the canadian government of the day, a worldly principality, to participate in the world's plan to "educate" the indigenous population. Now the church has to apologize. What current thing the church is embracing to be "of the times" and cool, hip and relevant is it going to have to apologize for in 50 years?

  • @jobtiesinga7807

The thing that these people also don't realise is that it's a vital part of going to church that it's not about you, you empty yourself in order to be filled with the spirit of God. Making everything about what you or modern society prefers turns it into a modern church instead of a catholic church.

Many of these prelates are so arrogant as to have completely forgotten that it is Christ, not them, who owns the Church! The prelates are only mere custodians of Christ’s Church and have absolutely NO right to give Christ’s property away to the world, to essentially toss divine pearls before swine, for any reason more less for something so selfish as for the world’s respect which is empty anyways. Many of these prelates stole and profited off Christ’s property which is the worst kind of blasphemy and if they die unrepentant will have an extremely nasty eternity waiting for them! Let’s pray for their conversion and repentance!
