  • Saint Thomas Aquinas, born in the 13th century, was a renowned Dominican friar, philosopher, and theologian who is considered one of the greatest medieval thinkers. His works, such as Summa Theologica and Summa Contra Gentiles, are highly influential in the fields of theology, philosophy, and ethics.
The following quote from Summa Contra Gentiles, written between 1259 and 1265, presents a critical analysis of the teachings of Muhammad, highlighting the perceived shortcomings and contradictions within his doctrine.

I thought St. Thomas Aquinas was something when I was a student. The stories could almost make me cry. Through this video, I saw how ignorant he was, and his works and existence is no longer credible. Those statements could not have been from any scholar who studied Islam. Ignorant people makes statement of things that they do not have knowledge about to guile the more ignorant St. Aquinas refer to as Gentiles. Why is he so obsessed with carnal pleasures? Aquinas must have been a self-taught, isolated scholar, didn't really seek knowledge.

@@PiousPearls27 Sure. If you want to really disprove the last Prophet, it's only fair if you sincerely study Islam first, you can set your objective to be "Muhammad is not a Prophet" and investigate sincerely for your own benefit. No Aquinas studied under men very skilled in knowledge, at very reputable institutions. See his five arguments for the existance of God. The man was obviously a genius. Of course he was not perfect in every respect, but none the less a genius.

@@Chariseirene7 Yes, he has extraordinary achievements in his field, but it's not like you can't attain the same. That's why it's hard to believe those statements are really from him. There are also many Muslim Philosophers who I think are more intelligent than St. Aquinas, but like all others who threaded the path of proving God's existence or inexistence through Philosophy, their quests have never reached absolute conclusion, that is because our minds are too limited, God knows that so He sent the Quran using simple language for all of us to easily get acquainted with Him without going overboard or wasting our lives away with the works of Socrates, Plato and the likes so therefore we can live more productively. The St. Aquinas statement in this videos is obviously meant to keep people away from learning about Islam. Instead, why don't we be totally honest with ourselves, have an upright mind and look at what Islam is. Promise, it won't be as hard as learning from these Saints and Philosophers (including Muslim Philosophers).

Salam Aleykum peace to producer of this video and attending viewers. Just chiming in to say that the claims against Muhammad’s character are woefully questionable. This isn’t to say that I am in opposition to the character and nature of Thomas’ work, just advising people to go forward themselves and do a thorough analysis of the life of Muhammad. It doesn’t follow that he was vile and corrupt as claimed. Peace.

@@zaydkhan6885 Sorry but you're wrong. Islam has way too many errors, is a heretical offshoot of Christian Arianism, and spread at first through violence and conquest. Compare this to Christianity, who the early followers for 300 years were martyred, yet still spread throughout the entire known world, including to Arabia before the warlord converted people through war, persecution and taxes. These are facts of history.
All we need to know which proves Christianity is the Truth is that Christ died and resurrected from the dead. That act alone validates the entire Christian religion and proves its truth. In your words, Islam is the "ultimate truth" on no basis other than Muslims believe the Qu'ran is the word of Allah because the Qu'ran says so - which is an invalid circular argument. By the way, the Qu'ran affirms the Injeel, which is ironic because we have the same Injeel from the time the Qu'ran was written until now (Greek Septuagint, Latin Vulgate and the Peshitta). These Gospels affirm the divinity of Christ, which the Qu'ran affirms.
The Qu'ran also refers to Allah as "we". A common defence of this is that "it is simply a term for Allah's royalty"... excet the origins of using "We" as a royal term comes from the 11th century, 500 years after the Qu'ran was written ...
You're welcome to validate these claims yourself.

Tafsir is not "re interpretation" it is a authentic interpretation by educated scholars centuries ago that look at the history of when the verse was revealed, in what context, what does it mean, the general implication of the verse on other verses, etc. Tafsir is also not the Quran and Muslims have lived before many books of Tafsir so how were they living? The Qur'an is completely clear in its words, and most of the issues Christians have arise from
      1) Not knowing arabic, reading the english and coming to incomplete conclusions
      2) Not knowing the history about a chapter
      3) Cherry picking verses without reading ones before and after
