Nope, BRD you need half an hour only to get there, then an hour to do it at a decent speed without failing. Unless you farm few bosses for HoJ, at which point it's not even half of a dungeon, nor a quarter. Any mythic usually takes less than 5 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to complete it in time, or an hour if you keep failing - which happens, but i mean we are talking about failing stuff. Also there are rewards tied to mere key progression and the weekly chest. You might farm a week of BRD and get literally nothing, while you might farm a week of any mythic keyed dungeon and get at least 1 to 3 options from the chest that are potentially valuable.
RaiderIO absoultely DOES work on people without the addon, because they calculate your IO score from your warcraft armory information which Blizzard makes freely avialable to the public with no option to turn it off/make it private. You have a Raiderio score even if you've never even HEARD of Raiderio before.
Going to SFK and only seeing level 60s standing there asking me if I want to be carried for gold hurt my soul. I just wanna go through the dungeon legitimately.
Maaaaaaaan being low level alliance and putting together a RFK/RFD group... getting there from Stormwind was a greater adventure than the dungeon could ever have been. “Who has the BB flight path” “Nope” “Nup” “Not me” “Ok, let’s fly to the rebel camp top of STV and run down as a group to BB, you guys can grab the flight path then we’ll jump on the boat” *4 hours and 573 lvl 60 rogue attacks later* “RUN, GET ON THE BOAT NOW”
That last boss in sanguine depths mythic, when i did it the 1st time, we wiped like 7 times thinking we were bad, but the only thing that was killing us was the tank that wasn't putting the barrier LOL

The mechanics aren't likewise so stupid, especially in dungeons where a fault of one does not translate automatically as a fault for everyone else. Still better than random taunt resistance and aggro wiping of classic, imho. Other than with m+ you actually are intreste dinto more loot. @@Naratikk i am playing a healer. I have 1050io. There's way too many healers right now. I have tried making my own group. It might work, if it doesn't you get a lower key which you will have to risk to raise it again. Last night with guildies we raised a key from 11 to 14. Last boss one person got disconnected so we waited. And for that, we didn't time it. It's not worth raising your key that much because the risk/reward ratio is not good. Don't forget you need 3 dps per dungeon, while only 1 healer. So you can have 3 more times the dps than healers.

Im just tired of reading everywhere that its so super hard to find a group. Im playing an unpopular meele class and still dont complain because i just realize that there are way too many dps and just open up my own group instead. Yes maybe I have to wait 10-20minutes to get my heal and tank but atleast I could select them and i can do other stuff during the waiting.
Classis is definitely realm dependent. I'm on one of the busiest pve servers and it's not that hard to get groups, even in low level dungeons, and the LFG channel moves so fast it's almost hard to keep up. But then I tried an alt on another server and suddenly realised how bad it can be elsewhere. LFG wasn't even active beyond people having random discussions.
I always feel so guilty when I see people saying LFG in the chat :( one time I swear a dude was waiting for over an hour in SM, all he wanted was the illusion staff. Even tried to ask the team if we can get it for him and they all said no 🙄
Way back in Retail Wrath this guy got a whole 25 man raid together and once we get inside he's like, "Oh by the way such and such a thing is reserved" Don't remember exactly what it was, but we all ditched him and reformed another group.
I freaking loved that boss with the moving portals. That first week when everyone was undergeared was probably my favorite time fighting a boss ever, because people were still learning, and it was dying fairly slow so you actually had to DEAL with it for a decent amount of time. Figuring out a chain of like 3 portals to take to get to the safe zone was really fun,. Pretty quickly devolved into "boss dies in 40 seconds anyway so you basically skip the most hectic part of the fight" though.

It's a pvp trinket that's BIS for melee and can only be found inside BRD so most BRD dungeon groups have to reserve it for a certain player or they won't do the dungeon. Doesn't sound bad until you realize that you now have to spend hours trying to find a new party with the hopes that they don't need hand of justice too
People put an item's that drop on Reserve, There is no Personal loot system like there is in Shadowlands.(Personal loot would solve a lot of problems in classic.) for e.g a caster might reserve a casting trinket that might drop off a rare in UBRS.
Yeah it sucks. I want to level characters for TBC but I like running dungeons as I level. Nostalgia is my main reason for playing classic. Maybe I will just level another tank character lol

I've stopped playing classic because of this. I love leveling it's my favorite thing in classic, I love dungeons in classic if they are played correctly. No one i know is playing this anymore, the guilds are full of spergs and the only dungeon runs available are paid unless the stars align. I will be the first to vote for dungeon finder.. I know I know but classic is not vanilla, never has been never will be, the players are idol.
Biggest reason I hated classic was that more than 60% percent of playing players were 60 meaning it was extremely hard to enjoy the so called “social aspect” which was only really experienced during phase 1 and 2. Not to mention everyone knew exactly what to do because it’s 15 years old. I knew it would happen and admit it, it succeeded at bringing people in but failed as the game everyone wanted it to be like.
This is exactly why I played on a Fresh Start WotLK server for about a month then just left. Classic is only fun to me during that early period where everyone is leveling together. Class Endgame is a speedrun because everyone knows everything already. Not to mention the prevalence of boosts, which simply wasn't a thing to any notable degree in the past. Not in comparison to what it became anyway.
Lol, definitely got the classic joke, that's why when I'm starting instances I intentionally look for people who are not able to use the gear I want, which makes the wait even longer.
Interesting thing. All my rogue friends in classic was most reach class always! When I on my paladin had 1g max. They have 5000g minumum. And 1g on vanilla and 1g in wow classic that is not same... Rogue just best dps. If rogue dont know how to CC noone want him in party. But if you know how to play. You could counter all pack of mobs 24\7\12. Plus less chances chat you will be ganked during path to dungeon.
Not sure If there were any specific laser grids, but I can see you ripping on Xav the Unfallen this way. His cleave/slam/shout combos are simple, but you start getting buried in obnoxious slowing banners while two DPS are forced to -throw a- "duel". The concept doesn't transfer well into high keys at all. TLDR: Xav's deadliest weapon is a goddamn flag on a stick.
every single time i have to update dbm, I always make sure to go into the file and REPLACE THAT DAMN HORN (if you're curious, remember the name of the horn file, create a duplicate of another noise, I use the beware sound, delete the horn file, rename duplicate to horn.whateverthisextensionwas)

It didn't come back because Masterloot went away during WoD. Can't reserve someone else's personal loot that they can't trade because it's an ilvl upgrade.

As a pre BC player unless it only worked for you I went for rule of luck. Never would agree to hand over something ahead.

Way back in Retail Wrath this guy got a whole 25 man raid together and once we get inside he's like, "Oh by the way such and such a thing is reserved" Don't remember exactly what it was, but we all ditched him and reformed another group.
Feeling that Shadowlands part right now in Tazavesh. Holy dear god, this stuff is nutty.
I freaking loved that boss with the moving portals. That first week when everyone was undergeared was probably my favorite time fighting a boss ever, because people were still learning, and it was dying fairly slow so you actually had to DEAL with it for a decent amount of time. Figuring out a chain of like 3 portals to take to get to the safe zone was really fun,. Pretty quickly devolved into "boss dies in 40 seconds anyway so you basically skip the most hectic part of the fight" though.
I love how the game basically turned into "Simon Says"
One priest 4 rogues is the best class composition for a classic dungeon.

So much AoE! Best for classic dungeon is 1 prot pala, 1 holy pala or priest and 3 mages. At least as tank pala that's the most fun!

can somebody explain the hand of justice reserved part on classic? I started playing during shadowlands so i dont know what it refers to lol
It's a pvp trinket that's BIS for melee and can only be found inside BRD so most BRD dungeon groups have to reserve it for a certain player or they won't do the dungeon. Doesn't sound bad until you realize that you now have to spend hours trying to find a new party with the hopes that they don't need hand of justice too
People put an item's that drop on Reserve, There is no Personal loot system like there is in Shadowlands.(Personal loot would solve a lot of problems in classic.)
for e.g a caster might reserve a casting trinket that might drop off a rare in UBRS.

Yeah it sucks. I want to level characters for TBC but I like running dungeons as I level. Nostalgia is my main reason for playing classic. Maybe I will just level another tank character lol

Due classic times, I luckily played a Tank....and somehow I dont want to use the flight masters mount in Shadowlands anymore...
That's why I made a druid in classic. People were all 'haha druids suck' until they're waiting in lfg for an hour as dps and I get groups instantly :)
I've stopped playing classic because of this.
I love leveling it's my favorite thing in classic, I love dungeons in classic if they are played correctly.
No one i know is playing this anymore, the guilds are full of spergs and the only dungeon runs available are paid unless the stars align.
I will be the first to vote for dungeon finder.. I know I know but classic is not vanilla, never has been never will be, the players are idol.
Biggest reason I hated classic was that more than 60% percent of playing players were 60 meaning it was extremely hard to enjoy the so called “social aspect” which was only really experienced during phase 1 and 2. Not to mention everyone knew exactly what to do because it’s 15 years old. I knew it would happen and admit it, it succeeded at bringing people in but failed as the game everyone wanted it to be like.
So social aspect still exist at t60...what are you on about?

This is exactly why I played on a Fresh Start WotLK server for about a month then just left. Classic is only fun to me during that early period where everyone is leveling together. Class Endgame is a speedrun because everyone knows everything already. Not to mention the prevalence of boosts, which simply wasn't a thing to any notable degree in the past. Not in comparison to what it became anyway.
Lol, definitely got the classic joke, that's why when I'm starting instances I intentionally look for people who are not able to use the gear I want, which makes the wait even longer.

Not sure If there were any specific laser grids, but I can see you ripping on Xav the Unfallen this way. His cleave/slam/shout combos are simple, but you start getting buried in obnoxious slowing banners while two DPS are forced to -throw a- "duel". The concept doesn't transfer well into high keys at all.
TLDR: Xav's deadliest weapon is a goddamn flag on a stick.

every single time i have to update dbm, I always make sure to go into the file and REPLACE THAT DAMN HORN
(if you're curious, remember the name of the horn file, create a duplicate of another noise, I use the beware sound, delete the horn file, rename duplicate to horn.whateverthisextensionwas)

@@Biouke rogue was best in 2005-2006. nobody knew how to play the game and you as rogue had it actually very easy, especially pvp.

Still in retrospect I think I would have loved the experience anyway.

That and arbitrary loot distribution in raids. I prefer my luck to tell me "fuck you" than having a raid leader give everything to their friends.

reserving items was a funny thing though, so weird how it kinda phased out. surprised it didnt come back with SL given how shitty loot is. not like HoJ or the mace ever dropped tho (at least for me)
It didn't come back because Masterloot went away during WoD. Can't reserve someone else's personal loot that they can't trade because it's an ilvl upgrade.
