Maybe for some, but for me personally - I enjoy this shit much more than Retail...
The main reason I THINK, that retail is so hated, is because theres so much shit just FORCED upon you, you srsly cant NOT do it, if you wanna be successful in any normal shape or form.... Literally the only reason I like Classic so much, is bcuz there are 2 goals - money and gear.... and you do what you want to get those things...
Unlike in retail, where youre forced to do boring repetative objectives, for some side boosts which are pretty much mandatory... sometimes the simple things are the best...
OBVIOUSLY... there are things that Retail do better than classic, obviously... but the core of the game is fucked.... As many streamers and Current wow players have said - Make an alt, see how FUN it is :)

Running a guild was effectively a part time job requiring planning, structure, micromanagement etc. Raiding guilds back in the day were effectively dedicated clubs. Organising 10 people is way less challenging. Plus with 4 difficulty settings there is kind of a spot for every gamer. Good luck making it into sunwell or naxx without at least 10 hours of gametime per week.

Not really. Rather, back in 2004 we were dumb fucks who did not know how to play the game, and less addons. So basically leveling took months, and few people knew exactly how to get an item and they got it. Considering internet and PC's were potato as fuck raids and dungeons were a mess.
Now there is a guide for everything and an addon to do anything. So everyone knows how to get sulferas, where to find this and that. Our PC's and Internet is waaay better. And classic raiding can be done eyes closed.

Different talents with more dmg from when the raid was not a farming ground. If it was like it was back in the days when a raid tier was current and new people got one shot from a spell or adds because they did to much damage. Naxx is an good example on this subject. Bosses debuffs and damage had the exact same value in wotlk version in lvl 80 and tanks had around 20k health when it was current tier and 5-6k in lvl 60.. You had to actually stack stamina instead of resistnces on some fights on retail because you would get one shot without anything you could do about it. Today all this is fixed and nerfed for a reason

Either people are mix/maxing like this is a mythic raid, or level 60's are mass farming lowbies. Most classes are ignored, dungeons are reduced to cleave groups, pvp is cancer purely meant to troll with no balance, and NICE fixes that would of made classes usable, like the increasing max debuff limit, were shot down by the same tryhards who are spamming mages and warriors. We had a chance to relive it, and we ruined it.

I started in 2011, during Cataclysm, Rage of Firelands patch. Makes me sad cause years later I keep hearing that I came in just barely too late to enjoy Wow at it's height during wrath of the lich king, and Cataclysm was right when it started going downhill. Basically, despite having played wow for 9 years now and only having missed the first 6 and a half years of the game's existence, apparently those first 6 years were the only years it was good. I have played too long to fit in with all the new players, but I will never be considered a veteran. I have literally played the game the entire time it has been deteriorating in quality. I enjoyed the 1-60 experience just as I did the first time. Really enjoyed the professions, questing, AH. Everything falls apart at the high levels. As a rogue, you can't get a dungeon, people don't want to be fighting over the HoJ drop, so no BRD. People just get carried in ZG from 58+, so no strath or scholo, BRS, DM. You can get a group for raids no problem as a matter of fact a lot of people just lvl in ZG and get bis before lvl 60.
I'm glad they brought it back just for the leveling experience.

The raids were authentic, the economy was booming, playercount was high as shit and it felt exactly like the old days. The beauty of vanilla was doing whatever you want in the world of Azeorth, not forcing you to level up gear up progress etc.
