That would be good if it were made of steel instead of plastic. Kids have super strength when it comes to entering forbidden rooms.

There is one made of metal instead of plastic. Look up the GlideLok. It works the same way but is much more durable.

I guess if you’re lucky enough for the door to open the direction you need it to it would work.

Perhaps this is obvious to everybody but me, but when you install the peg, be sure to put it on the correct side of the door! (So the door opens AWAY from the peg.
I did it on the wrong side, and I couldnt open the door after the peg went it!!!!

You should add links to these products to your videos. You could receive a kickback from Amazon or whomever if you did.

They make steel one's of these. Company is called Glidelok. Amazon sells them. They come in packages of three. They don't come with the wand . I made wands using wooden dowels I purchased from Lowes. You can paint the dowels or stain them. I chose to stain them because that's what I had around. You can shorten the 48 inch Lowes dowel to whatever length is good for your height. The steel ones can be used on thicker front entry doors just by removing a small part the installation instructions call the spacer. Good Luck

That glidelok on Amazon sells metal ones.. I haven't tried either version. But these original plastic ones are around 17 dollars.. and the metal one is 70?? Way over priced. Simple design just showed a metal shop in town for a lot cheaper 😂
Good to have a solid metal design except keep in mind a fire plan. Those suckers wouldn't budge

  • @terrydrake1524

Is this a joke? This will only give you a false sense of security which is worse than no lock at all. That little piece of chinese plastic will break as soon as any force or weight is applied to it.
