This is the best and most helpful video. It took me a while, but the trick is that you’re not trying to press the little nubs to unlock it. You’re trying to push on the other side until it depresses and comes free. I kept getting fixated on the little “buttons”

Excellent! Without this video, I don't believe I would have "figured out" how to open/split the knob. The manufacturer should have a link to your video on his packaging.

Thanks a lot, I was pressing down on the tabs themselves, didn’t think to push on back of tabs and only on the bottom ones. I was able to push down one and separate it, didn’t have to turn either.

BTW to anyone who's fingers aren't strong enough. To open just press on those tabs in and pull from one side to open with a flat screw driller

Its easy to open before you put it on the door..but once you installed its hard to get it out

Honestly it’s easiest to use a screwdriver and pry it open just a tad. It’ll save the stress on your fingers
