I grew up with 4 brothers and all their buddies in the neighborhood. Watching you guys tell your stories takes me back to my childhood. They were all so much fun to be around. 💙🇺🇸💙
In our family we have an ex West Hollywood division L.A.P.D. 1960s to 1990s, Reno Homicide Sheriff Dept. over 30 yrs (our uncle has passed) and now our Grandson is a Sheriffs deputy in a small NorCal County. We are proud of all departments of law enforcement and honor all that have served, fallen in service, and the fresh recruits just starting out. It's a tough job.
The first dog we got when I was a kid was part malinois and part German shepherd. My mom would let me play in the yard alone knowing no one was stepping into that yard, and if they dared, they weren’t getting out. She even ran to the house for help when I got hurt. Best dog ever.

As a first responder myself, (hospital chaplain), I really love when you find humor and silver linings. Although not on tonight, Dr. Brucato is also on my wave-length and wonder if he started as a priest. His spirituality is inspiring. As is yours. Thank you!
I love you guys. Grew up with cops in my house all the time. My mom and dad fed them on Holidays and all year round late nights. I loved the stories......but what stuck with me my whole life was when they got a domestic call. That call brought immediate silence, a slow rise from the table and a last quick sip of coffee. They all silently checked their weapons and kissed my mom on the cheek and thanked her for the snack or meal and coffee. No joking for jovial exchanges. I never forgot that, and to this day I recall the sight of their backs as they walked out our door in silence.

I am listening to your book now "The new evil" but I have to admit I'm taking it slowly because it can be overwhelming as a lay person. I guess I'm like a million others . I want to know what drives people to do such horrendous things to one another.
