- Now that Savitar's identity is out in the open, fans everywhere have been trying to figure out exactly how a future time remnant of Barry Allen managed to turn into a sadistic super villain. And if you happen to be one of those fans, then wonder no more! I'm breaking down everything we know about the god of speed, and what we might be seeing when his plan unfolds in the future.

You're forgetting that Iris's death changes everyone on team flash on a deep level. After Iris's death it's highly likely that they would shun Savitar.

But after Iris's death, the time remnant they shunned wasn't Savitar yet so your statement doesn't make any sense. If they shunned "Savitar" as you say they did, it would be a completely different story. It's not like that time remnant was just branded *Savitar* by Team Flash after Iris died.

In the original Post Flashpoint timeline, when Barry created a time remnant to help defeat Savitar, the time remnant was defeated by its future self, but not killed (unlike all the other remnants). After Savitar's defeat and imprisonment, the remnant was later shunned by Team Flash as he was an aberration and not the true Barry.
Broken and alone, all he wanted was the pain to end, and realized that the only way for the pain to end was to become a "god". He remembered that Savitar used the Philosopher's Stone and that this stone could turn him into a God equal to Savitar and that he could be Savitar. So he traveled back in time to ancient times and discover the stone, using it to augment his power and called himself Savitar; after the Hindu god of motion, creating a time loop. He dubbed himself the "God of Speed" and founded a cult. Later, he gained a mechanical suit of armor made of friction-less material. According to Jay Garrick and the myth of the Speed Force, Barry, as Savitar traveled throughout the multiverse with the Philosopher's Stone in hand, seeking out the most powerful Speedsters who threatened his power to battle before taking over their Earths. Before each encounter, he would possess a person and use them as a medium under the alias "Alchemy" to 'prepare' for his arrival by having "Alchemy" create meta-human armies for Barry to command. To get revenge on his 'main' version by avoiding him for being a aberration, he traveled to 2020 and he and his 'main' self fought, with Savitar thinking he could kill him. However, to the surprise of Savitar, his 'main' self was able to beat him and subsequently imprisoned him in the Speed Force, but not before killing of all the Flash's other time remnants except for one, allowing the remaining one to follow his path into despair and thus continuing the endless loop of Savitar before ultimately being sealed away and preventing the latter from escaping, for which Savitar swore revenge.

So, for Savitar to continue to be reborn and this whole reincarnation situation, Savitar needs to kill Iris in order for Barry to become so sad and so hellbent on killing Savitar, that Barry ends up creating loads of time-remnants, in which Savitar kills all of them during combat, except for 1 remnant. That one left-over time-remnant was shunned or excluded from Team Flash for not being the real Barry. This drove that time-remnant insane, to the point where he went back in time and absorbed the philosophers stone and became Savitar. This entire pattern continues to repeat itself so Savitar can live on and control time, like some sort of God of Time/Speed.

It’s complicated this far up, so the dumber portion of the flash fans say they prefer the “simpler” times back when it was just the regular Wells, Barry, Cisco & Caitlyn but I like all the multiverse shits and giggles.

30 second intro is a bit much. Under 10 would be better, even though it looks cool.
as a general rule that was often said your intro should never be anywhere from more then 4 seconds to more then 7 seconds. but most places said more around the 4/5 seconds. This is because the intro is for people who are just watching random youtube videos to quickly see the intro, and thus if they see the intro multiple times on videos they like they subscribe sooner.
And this is now not accomplished, with such a long intro.

For example, Savitar's identity is discovered, but they don't know that it's a future version of the remnant. They shun the current version thinking he's Savitar, when he really wasn't. That's when he turns into Savitar and the cycle continues.

Then he wouldn't have been able to know what Barry knew, a major point in what made him so dangerous and unbeatable.
Reverse Fuhrer they couldve just said that when the zoom remenant disintegrated he died and ended up in the speedforce. He gets angry that nobody cared and they just went on with there lives so he tries to escape
yeeap. and that WOOULD actually explain the "shunning" thing, as - with the messing up of timelines between original timeline vs flashpoints vs reset timeline it's likely that everyone "ignored" the time remnant NOT intentionally but because they had NO IDEA about him. I can def. see that as being a thing. I mean flashpoint their lives were TOTALLY different and with post-FP timeline they likely didn't even REALISE that the TR existed. So basically, making it so the TR felt "lost and alone" mostly because of his circumstance and it would just SPIRAL like he felt alone and angry so he didn't approach the team, which led to them NOT knowing about him, which in TURN would lead him to get MORE angry and alone.
Savitar himself says that he has the same memories as Barry. He loves Iris, just like Barry does, but Iris isn't going to cheat on Barry with Savitar and he knows this, so he will always be second Barry in the eyes of team Flash, which makes him feel resented. Imagine feeling like you're not good enough, while someone who is basically your identical twin, gets all the praise. It would make anyone feel like shit and drive them insane.
Actually, I just wonder who made him that armor and when in the future, since nothing like it exists even in Reverse Flash's time, neither does Savitar...
well it actually does exist in RF time, in the flash museum they reassembled his armor and also we havent seen RF time really, so theres a good chance it might
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 I would have to go and check, but if it does exist in flash museum, then it's after the fact, because when flash went into his museum in the past, it didn't exit there yet, because he hasn't created flashpoint yet and he didn't loose his wife yet so there was no "broken" flash...so no Savitar Berry...Series went poorly after Savitar anyway, the whole "disappears in red mist" was never properly explained or explored, it all turned into SJW diarrhea I basically stopped watching it at some point.

@@Ludak021 ok so first insulting someone is not a great tactic if you want to be credible. Next, it was erased from existence in that moment but not throughout all of time. Past savitars and future in the loop still exist or their armor does because they were able to take a piece of the armor.
That line when Savitar says “then you went back in time and created flashpoint and changed everything” that clearly means something if Barry did not created flashpoint it wouldn’t of created Savitar the clearly says that him “and it would of stayed that way” so it made sense and fit into Savitar origin
biggest plot hole for me was when they erased Barry's memory and wally lost his speed why wouldn't Katelyn lose hers during it at well

Barry creates the time remnants to stop savitar in 2017. Then, savitar will kill them all except one which will go crazy because team flash shunned him. Barry does not create time remnants in 2020. Barry traps savitar with the speed force bazooker with the help of tracy brand in 2020. But, now the future is changing because team flash found tracy 4 years early.
Other Stuff Why would team Flash ignore him tho? this never made sense, just because he was a time remnant didnt mean they had to ingore him, itd be like Barrys twin.

I know what happen to wally when Barry ran to the future. Wally saw that Savitar was actually Barry and couldn't believe that Barry would kill Iris
??? thats not what happened. He saw that Iris didnt have her wedding ring so he knew barry proposed because he thought it might change enough to save her. In the future 2020 where wally lost to savitar, he may have seen savitar as barry but he went catatonic because of how badly he was beaten and how many people died or were lost in the battle like barry losing hope, cisco losing his hands, iris dying, joe hating barry, and H.R. giving up on the team

When Savitar says Barry 'changed everything', he is referring to what he said previously about how he would've continued on with his happy life, how *they* would've. He is saying that, before Flashpoint, Savitar didn't exist. Because of Flashpoint, Savitar has and always will be, it is a close loop with no beginning. Your looking at it like there had to be an Original Savitar to kick start this whole thing, but like Cisco and HR discuss neither Savitar nor the Time-Remnant came first. When Barry ended Flashpoint, he actually birthed into existence the closed-loop of Savitar. When he is telling Barry how he unwittingly gave him the means to escape by creating Flashpoint, you have to understand he is referring to himself as well. While imprisoned by his "main self" from the future, it occurs to him that in Flashpoint, Wally was a Flash, and can take his place in prison if he manifests that in the new timeline
I've watched this about 20 times and for the most parton understand but there are a few things that dont make sense
I think that this time loop was created by the Speed Force to punish Barry for Flashpoint. Also, Savitar's use of the word "aberration" leads me to belive that Team Flash didn't shun him. Instead, the Legends of Tomorrow tried to kill him, scarring his face and mind.

I think the changes to Iris and Joe’s relationship in the beginning after flashpoint shows that team flash isn’t always so forgiving and kind. And Killer Frost is a thing in that future so maybe they had trust issues?

I'm completely agree with Jhone's theory and I want add a little thing that maybe will help you. We don't have 2 or more Savitar when wally releases he, because every time that Barry defeat 1 Savitar Barry create a new speed force prison. Every prison contain 1 Savitar.

I think i get it NOW! okay so the only way that i could think of this working out with Barry needing Savitar to first be created is when flashpoint is created and restored, the idea that time travel has repercussions and always takes something away as a punishment needs to first be understood. Because Barry messes with time, time takes iris's life in the new timeline after flashpoint. Barry needs to save iris's life, he does this by going back in time and meeting himself to warn of iris's initial death ; This creates a time remnant, however it also prevents iris's initial death (which explains why a time remnant needs to first be created). Now with two Barry's, one is filled with loneliness, hate and sadness aka "Savitar". Because of this pain he decides to make "real" Barry feel his loneliness, hatred and emptiness by taking away iris's life. This new timeline is created and thus starts the loop of Savitar. Barry still needs to create a time remnant to try and stop iris's death, but now instead of time being the one taking iris's life as punishment it is Savitar.
This is all explained in steps:
1)Cause: Flashpoint.
1)Effect: Change in Timeline. Iris Dies, this could be initially caused by anything from a car accident to heart failure but it happens due to changing events in flashpoint.
2)Cause: Barry Goes back in time to save Iris.
2)Effect: A time remnant is created in an effort to save Iris. (successfully saves iris)
3)Cause: Time Remnant
3)Effect: Time Remnant becomes Lonely, dark and wants "real" Barry to feel his pain
4)Cause: Savitar is Born and Travels back in time
4)Effect: Savitar kills Iris.
5)Cause: Barry creates time remnants to stop Savitar.
5)Effect: destroys/kills Savitar, but Savitar succeeds in trapping one special time remnant in the speed force (He needs himself to be trapped because that is now the only way he can become dark, by spending eternity being forgotten and alone)
Repeat step 3; but time remnant is now stuck in the speed force and needs to find a way to escape. (this explains why he says "A disposable hero")
Note: If there is a flaw let me know because to me this is the only way Savitar can first be created and looped but also answers everything i can think of.

Azzan Khan yea its all i could think of so i had to make up things, they didnt explain how savitar is created instead they just popped him into existence and made a loop (which i dont think that can happen, its not a chicken or the egg, the egg came first of course). And the shows writing has plot holes like, what happens if barry just decides not to make a time remnant, why does savitar lose his memory too if he's from the future, why does kid flash lose his speed, savitar in one scene thanks barry for creating flashpoint and giving him an idea to give kid flash speed so he could escape but in this episode he speaks as if barry messed up and created himself because of flashpoint. Soooo many plot holes.

Now that I think of it, the team probably didn't shun the time remnant. But since there are two versions of Barry at the same time, there would be just one Iris and she would be with the original Barry, leaving the time remnant lonely and bitter.

vincent 22 his origin story was kinda accurate throughout the season minus the philosopers stone giving him his speed and stuff. But then they had to go and fuck it all up and ruining the character of Savitar for me by revealing its just future Barry. Like throughout the season Savitar has been so badass and menacing and knowing that it's Barry just takes all that away and undoes eveything cool about Savitar this season. In my opinion at least

Yeah I want to know that too. The Savitar we are watching escaped the speed force. What happens at the beginning of Savitar, the Time Remnant goes back to past and uses the Stone to create Savitar but he is free of the Speed Force. The Savitar we are watching makes these plans and who has fought Future Barry has escaped the Speed Force.
How the hell does the past Savitar get to the point where he gets trapped in the Speed Force when we are being told that Future Barry traps Savitar in the Speed Force because he has killed Iris (having escaped the Speed Force!)

OgGarcioVega but Cisco said that he got trapped and then went back in time. Maybe because speedsters use the speed force to travel through time savitar did that while he was in the speed force. But my understand is that savitar was in a prison where he could not do anything but be stuck there.
Was Cisco there when he went back in time to get the stone? Cisco can say a lot of things but it is possible he is wrong.

I think when the savitar remanent was created savitar gave that reminant his scars. so the team would see that reminent as the enemy and reject him.

I agree this whole dark Barry reveal doesn't make sense.
Personally, IMO it would make more sense, when Eobard Thawne fixed Flashpoint, he took a sample of Barry's DNA and made a a remnant to look like him. The whole Savitar thing is to mindfuck Barry into trapping himself in the speed force, so Eobard can exist (since he can't kill Barry without preventing himself from becoming RF).
After all, he accuses Barry of being a villain, and it just so happens this comes true soon after? Also, did anyone notice that the clothes Barry was wearing when he reveals himself to Catlin/Killer Frost, were similar to what he was wearing when Thawne called him a villain in S3E1.
Although we see Thwane die on LOT, what if he time traveled so much (as DB pointed out) this version was not affected.
When Barry lost his memories, it would make more sense for Eobard to fake amnesia to trick Killer Frost to return to the team and restore them, to keep his plan on track (It would also show how he would also be someone to know the future and explain how KF would lose his speed powers).
Eobard has been aboard the Waverider and was able to tamper with Rip's memories. So who's to say he didn't plant that 2056 message as part of his plan.
I know it's a wild theory and it's not going to happen, but to me it seems to work better compared to what we got.
theabberration Season 3 of Flash happend at the same time as season 2 of LoT so Thawn might have fucked with flash as well. But once black flash got him he was completly gone from existance even the future or past versions of him.

And also, you need to remember ONE specific detail when it comes to the 2nd thing Savitar requires. He kept the detail to himself, because, and said by TR Barry himself "It's ironic given who I'm talking to". Which means it's gotta do something with Barry, a very specific thing about him that'll drive him past the edge.

When savitar said that barry creating flash point changed everything I was sure he meant that flashpoint caused the means were there was a chance where iris was going to be killed BY savitar thus creating a small opening where savitar could actually be created
Around 4:00 that’s an insanely interesting theory, maybe that time remnant didn’t die, but got vaporized into the speed force (just like in season 2 when team flash tried to give barry his speed back) and in the speed force he found/made the philosiphores stone, but was also tortured by the speed force prison *because* he tried to take the stone, this torture twisted his mind which made him into Savitar
What I want to know is who is the original savitar because we know that Barry becomes savitar but obviously someone else is savitar before the time remnant

1. For iris to die so that Barry would be far driven away as well his remnant allowing in savitar's creation.

It's a loop. With Eobard gone from the future there is no need for Eddie to kill himself in the present. Given that Eddie would then go on and have children, just not with Iris, and allowing Eobard to be born. It's confusing but that's the way it is with time travel and discussing time paradoxes.
so basically the negative speed force is a place outside of the timeline and he scatters himself through history in the negative speed force essentially making him able to survive any timeline change
Regarding your point of not believing that Team Flash could turn away from the remnant. Didn't everyone, especially Cisco, have a hatred towards Barry after he attempted to reverse FlashPoint? Cisco lost his brother and after finding out that it was because of Barry's own desire to wanting her mother to live again, he shunned Barry for a while too. So it is possible that Team Flash could have shunned away the remnant due to some reason (A Prediction Here -remnant got jealous of the original Barry Allen's relationship with Iris, because she only "loves" the original one, so the remnant wanted to prove that he was better by trying to go faster but the method he used was not approved by Team Flash so they shunned him) or other reasons. The actual reason for Savitars origin is:
In the future Savitar kills iris and Barry becomes depressed, creating time remenents to defeat Savitar, he kills them all but 1 and allows him to live (Savitar), this time remenent becomes annoyed because the rest of the team shun him, he goes back in time to the beginning of time and gets the philosopher stone and spreads the myth that he was the first speedster, now he is Savitar he gets the scar at some point then travels forward in time to fight Barry, kills iris, lets 1 remenent live as he gets trapped in the speed force, it’s a loop

In the future savitar killed the time remnants but leave one remnant that could become him( meaning this remnant is not yet in the speed force right? ConArtist- Gameplay he kills iris, then after that the flash and the team use the philosophor stone to trap him, they do this by putting the philosophor stone in the that grey concrete block with a pattern on the front and it creates a prison for him in the speed force, this happens because Savitar got faster using the philosophor stone and draws his power from it (sort of), he mainly got his speed from the particle accelerator, but the stone gave him more power and he was able to manipulate time

In the current timeline he creates what is known as the grandfather paradox planting seeds to insure his future. which incudes killing Iris and all but one time remnant.

If Savitar lived Barry's same life up until 4 years in the future, didn't he fight Savitar and create time reminints too? Why blame this Barry for what he did also? What?
If Barry 4 years from now gets scars on his face from running too fast why doesn't Barry from 7 years in the future get them/have them? Unless they don't think this through that's not the case. It's probably from fighting Savitar.

There's one thing that makes no sense, the current Savitar was trapped in the speed force and then released by Wally a few episodes ago, which means that the current Savitar was trapped there by the emo barry but not before killing Iris and thus creating himself. So where's is that Savitar ? We should have 2 Savitars the TR who went back in time and the current one who was trapped in the speed force before being released by Wally's foolishness.

Ok so basically: barry ceeates one time remnant in season 2, that remnant lives due to the effects of flashpoint. He gets shunned by team flash. He goes back in time create his own origin story and gets the philosifer stone and goes back to the future. But, since he is just a time remnant created before flashpoint in a corrupt timeline, he has to create himself so kills he iris so that barry are driven so far into the dark that he can either become savitar or create time remnants in the future and one of them will become savitar. The ”real” version gets trapped in the speedforce while the ”second” version that he created goes on to become savitar!
But in the beginning of season 3 savitar is trapped in the speedforce whilst the time remnant version should go on and become the next savitar... but we never see him in season 3!!!
But Savitar said he was the T.R. who fought Savitar and lived.

Maybe what Savitar has planned for Jessie is maybe something he has planned for all the speedsters, he will start off by killing Jessie giving both Wally and Barry a boost in power and speed due to the power of loss and anger and sorrow but before he does he kills Jessie he takes her speed. That would boost Wally's speed in particular and then he would take that faster speed from Wally, with the rage of wallys speed being taken and Wally probably being terribly injured maybe being left in the same state that future Wally was and maybe the same event already happened which was also somewhat hinted in the most recent episode, Barry would be at an almost savitar like anger strength and speed and then with the loss of iris our Barry will go the fastest he's ever gone but not as fast as savitar since he would have the speed of two speedster

Savitar wants TR Barry to become him in the future so that the cycle continues and he wants normal Barry to suffer because of how he and team Flash shunned him after his timeline Savitar was imprisoned in the speed force.
