Grant deserved better writers. He nailed his part and despite the show's flaws, he's still my definitive Flash.
Over all the writing was pretty bad. There were some shows. I particularly enjoyed the crossovers.

They probably would've had a bigger budget if the cw had cancelled batwoman, supergirl and legends earlier when those shows fell off.

He was "The Flash" we all knew and loved for an ENTIRE GENERATION of kids and young adults. He was OUR FLASH.... would love to see him in live action some point.

I just don’t get why Arrow ended great and Flash has been up and down. It’s crazy how much what the writers do id of kept the same writer for the whole show like S1 writer bring him back lol. All in all grant has been a great Barry Allen and Flash this show did a lot they brought John Wesley Shipp in made him Barry’s dad & Flash again after years! & then all the multiverse stuff and Barry and Oliver’s friendship was one of my favorite things about this whole show and universe
I wouldn’t worry I’m sure he doesn’t feel the same. There’s always ups and downs but so many good moments he can take away along with being THE Flash of our era!

Grant seems like a really good guy. He's done great in the role, and he has the added bonus of not being involved in repeated violent assaults.

It's truly bittersweet to see Grant Gustin stepping away from The Flash. He brought so much depth and humanity to this iconic character that it's hard to imagine anyone else in the role. Nevertheless, I want to express my deep appreciation for the time he was The Flash. Every episode was a joy to watch and the way the series concluded was truly fitting. Thank you, Grant, for all the memories and the incredible portrayal of Barry Allen. You will be missed but never forgotten. Best of luck in your future endeavors!"

He poured his soul into this show, a great part of his life, and made a very relatable Barry Allen. Even if the writing felt off a couple of times, his acting made everything believable and would get you at the edge of your seat. The emotions Barry Allen felt, the people watching would feel together be it sadness, rage, despair, everything.

Other than The Flash from the comics, Grant is the best Flash, in my personal opinion. What a guy, what an actor, one of my all time favorites.
He put his heart and soul, his all, into this character, and really brought it to life, to the best of his own ability I'll forever be grateful of that, of him, and his performances. Thank you, Grant, so much, always.

I really appreciate that Grant knows he'll be associated with The Flash for the rest of his life, and that he's enthusiastic or positive about it. So many actors get a life defining role and then spend the rest of their careers trying to run away from it and be known for something else. So just knowing that he's happy with how it all has gone is one of the best capstones to the character and show in general.
makes me think of Boris Karloff he was type cast in horror since he did so much horror and unlike Christopher Lee who wanted to be known for other stuff than just Horror films Karloff was a guy who respected it cause Horror is what gave him a career. i think Grant is the same way he wants to be known for other stuff as well and not just the flash but he also knows that he can do many other projects but many will only see him that way or they will watch his other projects but Flash will always be their favorite.

I sincerely want to take time to thank Grant Gustin and the entire cast of Flash. When Flash first started I had recently lost my godmother who was my closest family member at that point of my life and Flash was a show that brought joy, laughter and happiness through a very dark period in my life. I’ve legitimately grown up with this show because I was 16 when it started and I’m now 25 and have so many happy memories watching this and other Arrowverse shows over these last 9 years. It’s really bittersweet that it’s ending but I’m looking forward to continuing to rewatch it and to see Grant Gustin in other roles as well.

There will never be another Barry Allen in my eyes... this man has done the character and his story sooo much justice... the cast was flawless... obviously I wish I could've seen certain stories from the flashverse but im so please to have gotten the gift of being alive to experience the birth and growth of one of the best characters in a live action show from pop culture

Damn, I still remember the first time watching the premiere of the pilot episode. The excitement and thrill of that moment was electrifying. Even though it has its rough edges after S3 and is ending with mixed emotions, this show will always be a part of me.

I was just a teenager when the show came out. I loved the first two seasons. Grant is to the flash what tobey is to spiderman. Im just sorry he didnt get the budget and writers he deserved. Watching this made me feel so nostalgic for the 2010s. Thank you grant for giving 100% to this show and being the flash.
So what I understood by what Grant said, He got cast as Barry Allen in 2013 in episodes 8 and 9 of Arrow, The Particle Accelerator at S.T.A.R. Labs exploded in 2013, and Barry woke up from the coma in 2014.
Grant deserves everything good in life! We will miss him as the Flash and can't wait to see what he does next!

I loved Grant as the flash, he was a great choice even though people weren’t into his take of it at first. He brought a new take of emotion to a superhero that we hadn’t seen before and I enjoyed it. End of an era and he’ll be missed.
No matter what happens and no matter what people say or do, Grant Gustin will always be The Flash in our hearts.
Grant went through some long contract negotiations for this final season, so he's probably relieved that he won't have to go through that again. Looks like becoming a father had quite an impact on his decision to end the show at this point. Now he'll have some more time to spend with LA and their daughter, at least until he books his next project

He was such a good Flash considering what kind of script the network had him working with. Imagine what he could do with good writers! You can really see in his eyes and the way he talks that he was really passionate about this project. I gave up on the show sometime around after Savitar, but actually stopped watching after the season with the forces. Anyway, Grant did an amazing job and kudos!
The show became unwatchable after season 3, but Grant Gustin has always been fantastic in this role. I treasure those first couple of seasons and the memories I have of watching their new episodes week to week with my family. Grant will forever be my Barry Allen. My Flash. I look forward to seeing what he does next ⚡

I have always loved this series. I bought the entire series on DVD. I binge watched the last three seasons in 3 weeks. Last night I saw the final episode and I cried. The end of an era. I am re-watching all of the Arrowverse shows. Thank you cast, writers and production team for a wonderful escape.

gosh Grant sounds so proud and peaceful in this it really shows that he had a good run and he cared about the show.
Grant Gustin will forever be the perfect Flash, and won't have serious competition for the best portrayel of Barry for at least another 20-30 years and even then it would be very difficult to even come close to what Grant has done with the character.
I feel so sorry for him that he had to work with some very bad and horrible scripts from season 6 onwards when Eric Wallace took control and completely destroyed the whole vibe of the show.
I wish they also kept the writers of the first 5 seasons since they knew what they were doing and really prepared and put easter eggs in episodes which would be talked about in the next few seasons, that really required planning and they always managed to pull it off. While the writers from season 6 onwards just went along with it without amy actually planning in advance, made Iris disappear for a full season and even when Iris came back the writers didn't allow Barry and Iris to be a married couple and actually kiss, they made them seem more like friends than a couple which was shameful.
If only he had better scripts he would have done wonders with the character.

Grant Gustin is his own person and isn’t really The Flash, but whenever I look at him, I’ll always see the hero I grew up with, a hero who inspired me to never give up in spite of all odds. I may not be as fast as The Flash but I’ll be crossing the finish line with him one last time.

I was mesmerized when i first saw season 1. Could 't believe the production value even just for TV. The impact it had on the tv superhero genre too, really paved the way for others. I always saw superhero tv stuff to be a little naff and niche, but this made it feel more mainstream. Thanks Grant! You're a great talent, the Flash would be nothing and nowhere near successful without you playing him!

Sorry but grant isn’t going to be the new flash, that’s only going to add more confusing and James Gunn wanted to start fresh. Grant gave us 9 years of portraying the flash. His time was well spent, there were ups and downs but he did the best job he could with the writing CW gave him. It’s time for him to venture into new roles, that’s what actors do.

It's my hometown and I recognized all of those locations. The ground level shots apparently were filmed in Vancouver, B.C. *LOVED* The Flash, in all of its iterations.
I really do miss The Flash. I watched it for like 7 years and to know that season 9 was the last season I was so sad and happy at the end of the last episode and i cried for like 5 minutes, The Flash was a big part of my childhood and now that its done im just so torn apart but yeah Grant Gustin did really good with acting on the show and I've seen alot of bloopers of the show and its so coll seeing all the actors connect and just laugh so much while filming. I miss the show alot but i get why you wanted to end it on season 9 it was just time for the show to end thank you for all the joy your acting gave me.

This was hands downnnn my absolute favorite show everrrr. And I am 48… ok the first 7 or so seasons of Dr Who are also up there for me. LOL. But I loved it and felt the ending made me want more. I always loved it because of the characters. I want to see what happens with everyone after the last show. It was so beautifully ended in my opinion in so many ways. The first two seasons were great. I used to be obsessed with this show. I was disappointed with the way things went on and from what I've heard it only got worse. But Grant has always been amazing undoubtedly
