    I'm very sad to see De Zerbi leave. I think he has been an exceptional coach and has had a huge impact on the club and the players. Every player improved under De Zerbi and his coaching staff. We have been lucky to have him at the club. I've always appreciated his honesty and humour in interviews. Ultimately you have to respect the vision of the club and the coach and if they differ and there's no compromise then this is the only outcome, sad as it is. I will always have good memories of De Zerbi and thank him for his achievements and the special memories he leaves behind. I wish him well for the future. With the uncertainty, it feels this could be a turning point or a high water mark for the club but I trust Tony Bloom and Paul Barber to make a good appointment and continue to steer the club in the right direction. UTA.

      Well said. I me-self think Mr De Zerbi should have had a little bit more patience. Two more seasons, perhaps would have suited all parties. Sad to walk away like that. For us, the club and him actually, I feel. All the best Mr De Zerbi. x

      me too mate, watched them for over 60 years and managers have come and gone and I haven't been too bothered but I will really miss this fella. Like you say I too think what he achieved will unlikely be matched, I'm sure we'll see him in Manchester in a year or two and be reminded of what we had and let go.

    This man is simply amazing. He has his reasons for terminating amicably and certainly this is related to his expectations on the way forward which have not been accepted.

    RDZ is a man who lives and breathes football. He gives everything and expects others to do the same. It's been brilliant and I suspect that supporters may not see the like of him again.

    Maturity is relaising that both Bloom and De Zerbi are right in their own ways and that some situations just suck. But as much as this hurts this is the only way for thw club to keep growing.

  • @alexsavage24216

    He has reached a stage in his career where he doesn't want to manage a selling club. He wants to go to the next level. Good luck to him. But as a long standing fan I trust 100% in Tony Bloom.

  • @ehhla3
    @ehhla3 Před 13 dny +6

    I was hoping that Brighton would grow with De zerbi like the Italian club Atalanta Bergamo did with Gasperini... The Italian club Atalanta is still selling players, but it has a balance in bringing in players... It brings in young players to develop and sell them, and it brings in players in their mid-twenties to rely on them in the competition. ...And he doesn't bring in old players just because they're free

    quite clearly he didnt want to go.All he wanted was to buy a few players to take us to next level.Now alli keep hearing is the brighton model ,well that is give a platform for a manager and players to move on and we stay mid table never win a trophy and never create a history for future fans

    They did not give him the power to hold on to good players :
    Sold Trossard to Arsenal (2)
    Sold MacAlister to Liverpool (3)
    Sold Caicedo to Chelsea (6)
    With another 3-4 good players injured - he was hamstrung.

      Let's be honest the reason we get the best emerging young talent in the world is because we offer them 2 to 3 seasons of 1st team football and the opportunity to move on at the right price. None of these players signed expected anything different. In some way RDZ is the same he came in did an amazing job and will move on to 'bigger club'

    • @AM1465
      @AM1465 Před 13 dny +1

      Mac and Caiceido were going, Brighton could not stop that, all they could do is get a good deal and then adapt without them. The last part of that has been the problem.
