Please forgive me for missing it maybe but what are the rules of engagement with this forum? It seems like very much a one way process. For instance, whilst I'm fully behind Bloom, Barber and co behind the scenes and on the pitch and believe the current slump will right itself come the new season with a refreshed and, you'd hope, totally fit squad, I would have liked a right of reply to Paul Barber's answer to the question about the cancelling of FA Cup replays. He cited how few actual David v Goliath matches there had been but, for me, this line of argument falls flat as that might just be a twist of fate that's decided that in how the draw has come out and there's no way anyone can say that won't change and there's suddenly the reverse of a glut of games featuring very big v very small. Who knows? Plus, as much as I want the club to grow and attract new fans all over the world, is it really absolutely necessary to do the pre-season matches abroad? To get minutes into the legs, matches could all be played at home, couldn't they? Far less draining for the club and players. Ok, they're not as glamorous but the purpose would've been served from a playing point of view and it'll conserve some energy for any possible FA Cup replay. Are the club committed to a contract with the PL that compels them to do these foreign matches?

De Zerbi refuses to adapt despite so many injuries. He has no plan B and can’t organise a defence. His inflexible system only works well with squad depth to rival City’s. But it’s all good because copium has kicked in - Brighton should never be ambitious but be grateful for just staying in PL 👏
