I still can't believe how GOD AWFUL the referring was this game. 3 penalty shouts, and none given. Awful calls for Foden too. It's killing the sport, and we NEED to speak out about it.

De Zerbi's biggest problem is the lack of tactical flexibility... All coaches now know what he will do... Perhaps he is one of the best coaches at building plays from the back, but you do not have players who are proficient in this particular method in the midfield, and you do not have fast flankers... This season's players are different from last season: Mac Allister is gone, Caicedo is gone, Mitoma is unavailable, Solly Marsh is unavailable.
not so sure , He was able to switch from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-1-2 when all wingers were injured...obviously he will never play 4-5-1....The point is that the midfield is just not good enought this season maybe only Gilmour when he is fit but now he is out....tough to lose both the brain (Mac Allister ) and the lungs (Caicedo) and find a completely new balance
@@federicogiorgetti5503Even Billy Gilmour is an average player, not as defensively strong and quick as Caicedo, nor does he have smart passes to the attackers and powerful shots on goal like Mac Allister.

I’m not even a fan of Brighton but I randomly tuned in and was able to see the foul on Joao Pedro in the later stages of the game. I think it was Walker or Gvardiol who ran in to him like they’re playing American Football. I swear that was a pen. I didn’t see the other ones but that was a pen. Football is in a weird place, if this continues it will reach a point where fans will stop caring too much. That was honestly bogus. And instances like that are happening in all the Major leagues in Europe. It’s Scandalous.

They did put up a tough fight, but it's a hard ask when you're playing mostly youth players against an experienced elite team. Also the refereeing was a complete joke this match.

I love De Zerbi I love the possession football but am I missing something?If you take the best team/11 in the world and play out from the back knocking it about in your 6 yard box even Whitehawk FC(no disrespect)will get the ball ball eventually and punish you....not Barco's fault just following orders but they are constantly giving goals away within their penalty area ...we could have all our injured players back but it wouldn't stop that....getting dispossessed at the halfway line is one thing getting dispossessed in your 6 yard box is another....And I know nothing about tactical football...he needs to address that...but I could be wrong 😮
Season was already over, have had hardly any team confidence since the turn of the year, 6 league wins since September, we have to trust bloom and staff to put things right and move on some passengers we have had to unfortunately completely rely on! RDZ does need to learn some tactical flexibility but he will learn, the rigidness we now constantly play has been found out but 100% still the right person to take us forward. Fully believe in what we do.
God awful refereeing made what would've been a close match into a curbstomp. It seemed like Man City players were pinballing us and getting away with it, and so much as a glancing sneeze at their players would get our players booked. That Foden freekick was so obviously not a foul, and not only that, a similar foul close to the box was not given for us. It's sad that De Zerbi can't speak up about it without having to pay a fine.
Some commentators here say why De Zerbi blames Valentin Barco for his mistakes.... De Zerbi blames the Brighton management. Everyone knows that De Zerbi asked the management before the winter transfer window to bring in four players to help the team in the crucial period... The management did not respond. In return, I brought a teenager who had no experience... It was as if De Zerbi was telling the management: This is the player you brought to the team to help us.

He indirectly blames the club management because he asked to bring in four influential players during the winter period, but the management did not respond, and in return, they brought in a teenage player from the farthest corners of the Earth.... It is as if he is saying that this player who is supposed to help us in the most important part of the season is committing a lot of mistakes

Ref was a disgrace to the game
Officiating was awful, first goal the throw in should have been by corner flag but city allowed to creep 20 yards up the pitch. Second goal never a free kick. Third goal, yes our mistake should have cleared earlier. Spanish football tv couldn’t believe VAR not even looked at two penalty claims for Brighton. Brighton , best financially run club vs a club with 115 FFP claims against them. Is it better to cheat?? Premier league has questions to answer!

Terrible ref, also, be nice to see some diversity in dezerbis play style. Other teams have worked it out, and just pounce on our defence and keeper. 90% of our conceded goals have come from back line mistakes. No other club does it. For god sake, we have amazing wingers and strikers, but we never bloody use them!
