I totally would, but for some weird reason, I'm a lot different from most collectors. I always like to actually have a realistic, as close to the actual market value as I can get.

facts , you could tell how happy the kid was , he seemed a little nervous doing the trade then his emotion flipped and loved the moment when he got to keep the card he wanted . super dope

Yeah, Lebron’s market dropped hard in 2023. Wish its value held better but still very happy to own the card for my collection!
Didn’t research it, but would suspect the other cards he gave up in trade have also declined in value.

Only going to go down much further these cards are very overvalued.
This video was EPIC. I watched the entire thing, in installments. Really enjoyed the trade aspect of the hobby. As a comic collector this is what I try to do to level up my personal collection. Very fun content as always!

Absolutely love what you are doing when the kids are involved. Trade something you love when your that young, hurts for along time. Other guys would snag what they can for as cheap as possible. Don’t stop!

Wow that is pretty amazing, I have started to make some bigger trades myself, just traded recently for a Jordan Love Prizm Red Shimmer Auto RC and a 2020 Optic Joe Burrow Orange Scope /79. I am sending both of them off to PSA and if they come back as tens they could be 1,500 dollar cards!

If I had the choice and could pick any one of those cards it would be the the 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle hands down!!! I don't care about the value of the other cards that card is the most beautiful card that's ever been created it's my all-time favorite card and I've owned 3 originals of that card that was not in the best condition but that one is absolutely beautiful

Way too soon to try and predict eithers long term value. Lamar could get hurt next year and barely play again or vice versa! QBs go up and down so quickly with hype. They would have to start going on streaks like Mahomes/Brady to start solidifying a longer term investment
Why I would invest in Lamar over Herbert atm, would be the history of their respective franchises. Ravens have been solid as the Chargers are more of a joke… they were so talented in the 2000s and blew it all. But honestly if you want to see what a joke their history is, go back to the 90s and look at their draft trades from about 92-02. I’m not exaggerating at all! It’s hilarious what they gave away. A bit of a rabbit hole but definitely worth the trip and really won’t take too long

Valuable lesson here to avoid super expensive cards. They are barely worth 15% of their prices during big hype periods. The decline is always massive regardless of who the player is. Goat cards were some of the most overvalued since so many piled in during a short period.

I'm not selling Ohtani...I think the league has too much invested in him and will do whatever they can to keep him on the field. Shohei seems to be a pretty honorable person (donating money to stadium employees during covid & his on-field conduct). I really hope he was just that naive enough to help out a friend, not knowing the consequences like CA law.
As a collector, I still also have PTSD from Tatis and DeShaun Watson 🤢 , so I'm holding ohtani but probably not acquiring more until this shakes out! Great video JD!

Great video fun trades but what I don’t get you know there’s thousands of mj lebron Brady rookie cards out there there’s no way there going up in value more people are going to grade them each year I would sell them as soon as I can
U seem like such a nice guy and I kinda feel like these traders were hella greedy, and seemed unfair against u. U were being hella fair and that one dude with the lebron card, wouldn’t judge on a card he knew he was tryna get the most out of. Not to rant but I hate peoples that do that lol
