Next up Word Bearers? Aww yiss, I'm excited to see what you do with them!
Beautiful. You're a real talent.
Thank you for this! I will be using this as a template for my Salamanders! 👍
As someone who has always painted freehand I am amazed at the beauty spray guns are able to churn out with the various methods and angles u can use for a different outcome. Great Model.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Great simple colour scheme that looks amazing
Thanks!
I love all of your videos! Just jumped into Heresy 2nd ed. Your process just works so well with big army painting. And the results are brilliant!! Thanks for throwing these up here!
I'd love to see your take on some Loyalist Luna Wolves! Kill for the Living! Kill for the Dead! Lupercal!!
Ooo yeah should deffo do some Luna wolves
Another amazing tutorial, painted an entire Night Lords Army and a Black Templars army using your videos! Not just trying to decide which HH Army is next, so many amazing looking marines to choose from....
Amazing!!!! Would love to see some pics.
Great tutorial, I'm taking salamanders for 30k, I've done some test schemes and I think I'm going to heavy with the oils, less is more. Thanks
I was unsure what armour I wanted for my Salamanders tactical squads, but this convinced me that the MKIII looks the best aesthetic-wise and is lore accurate.
Bangin
I did a base coat of Castellan Green and a drybrush of Loren Forest for my Salamanders. It looks very good
Good colours, i tried them.
@@cultofpaint I did some streaking grime and rust effects so they are very dirty looking, but after all the Salamanders went through I imagine they looked rough
YES!!!!
Hi Henry, much thanks for all those Heresy Videos!! I picked for myself your Emperor's Children Tutorial and I think they came out great. Like the 500P Ulthwé I painted. Is there a way I could show you them for your critique?
And I hope Word Bearers are coming next. Still trying to figure out for 40k if I take Black Legion or Word Bearers for the Color Scheme and the last word will have your tutorial :D
Keep up the amazing work you and Andy are doing. I love your Patreon Content and all the YT Content. I've made huge leaps since february.
Thanks dude! If you are on any social media platform just tag us with your work.
Damn now I'm really torn on potential Loyalist legion between Fists and Manders...
Amazing tutorial! Could You make the same tutorial for Horus Heresy Ultramarines MKIII painting?
Sure thing.
@@cultofpaint Oh that's great!
So when will the new shades and contrast paints be available to the plebs? Did not even find it on the gw website.
Nice paint job as always!!
Pre-order this saturday.
Does presgading or undershading the model before using base and layering paints matter? Is it something I should do more even when not using contrast paints?
If you use translucent layers of paint over the top then it can be a great help.
@@cultofpaint interesting. Thank you!
Great vid! Don't know if you've answered this elsewhere, but what conventional paint brushes do you use? (For the chip highlighting, for example) I always struggle to get a fine point on mine!
Either Winsor & Newton series 7 watercolour or Artis Opus series s/m
@@cultofpaint great, thanks for that - to be fair, my brush care probably isn't up to standard, which is the main issue...
@@TheAnchorite if you wanted one just for chipping then the stubby series M might work well for you. Less brush to mangle!
Can this be replicated with a brush also? I don't have an airbrush.
I'd suggest finding a rattle can green that you like. Use that for the armour colour and then just follow all the other steps. It will still look great, just not exactly the same as this.
I don't have oils for washing. Is there a method to get a similar pin wash effect with acrylic washes?? Otherwise, this is simply a fantastic piece of advice.
Check out the video on pinwashing, i go through various options - czcams.com/video/19h5wmt8pNU/video.html
@@cultofpaint Well, that would have been a simple solution, I shall do. Thanks.
Hey Henry,
Do you put your Scale 75 metallics on your wet palette? I find mine lose their luster/shine. Is that the case for you?
If you're shaking the paint thoroughly, I'm guessing the metallics have separated too much, this would mean your palette is over saturating the paint.
for tutorials yes, but if i was painting more then 1 more then one i put them in those little metal dishes.
@@cultofpaint Super cool, thanks for the insight!
This is finally a scheme I like. Only have the new mk vi armor but I think it will still look great. Just lose those epic shoulder pads…
This was my first CoP video after hearing good things and suffice to say I'm here to stay!
Welcome aboard!
Is there a video for Night lords?
NM, found it. A little bright for my taste. Looks good thou.
🙂 ρгό𝔪σŞm
I tagged you in a whole army using one of your schemes, not even the courtesy of a like to show you saw it :*(
That’s a shame. Don’t be so quick to assume it’s us not caring though. We get tagged in a lot of things where people just spam tag a bunch of big accounts, so occasionally a genuine tag gets lost. What’s your account, we’ll take a look!
That model could really use 20 mins of edge highlights and a matte varnish.
That shiney satin just isn't a good final effect
