    It seems the Rocky Mountain Element 2022(3?) had the right idea. When your guys reviewed that bike the geo numbers were out there and questionable…. Now Specialized do it and it’s the “future man”. I reckon those two bikes deserve a comparison.

      Totally agree. Think of trek too back in 2022 changing the top fuel to have more ‘aggressive’ numbers than the previous fuel EX… specialized was actually 3 years behind everyone else, so why are we saying the are future? Haha. Also, the price on this thing is ridiculous

    • @dachuckster2
      @dachuckster2 Před měsícem +3

      @@buildtestflyrepeat9428 the element is .4 degree slacker at 65 degrees vs 65.4 of the epic evo. The frame weight of the fact 12m sworks is 1 pound lighter and the 11m is 0.44 pounds lighter. Not sure what your point is here because those numbers don’t impact the fact that PB are blown away by this futuristic XC bike because of its geo numbers but the Rocky Mountain element has been carrying those numbers for nearly 2 years and it was considered a bit odd to have those numbers when PB reviewed it, even though the bike rides fantastic.

And you're such a nice guy not killing that crawling bug 😂 I agree with you about chainstay, adding 10mm made a great difference on my Tallboy 4 so I assume between XS and XL riders they'd want at least 20mm added. Cool bike.
    I have a general question on disc brakes. Bought my first disc braked bike last May and rode max 10 x 30 minutes last year on dry gravel roads or very little mud. Always had it in the apartment before winter storage in a dry shed.
    Now when I took it out the front wheel jerked to the side when applying the brake. One of the pads were stuck, so only the right one moved. Now I have taken off the wheel three times, applying electronic cleaner and W40 on both sides but they still have trouble moving in and out and never goes back in fully except when being pushed relatively hard by a tool. Is this normal garbage operation?
    The back brakes seems to be working fine. How I miss rim brakes from my old road bikes. Never any problems during 15 years of riding.

    • @streddaz
      @streddaz Před 2 měsíci +2

      Just cycle each piston through its full stroke, put some brake fluid on the piston when it is almost at full extension. That usually works. You certainly wouldn't miss your rim brakes on a mountain bike with mud and water on them.

    Dario's coming into his own. He's better when he can just sit in front of the camera and goof off with his script (like Levy)... As opposed to trying to stick to a script between kaz n henry

    Always worth remembering when Specialized start chucking about these magic improvement numbers, that only they know how to measure, somehow they're also incapable of putting any weights of their bikes on the website. Massive snake oil salesmen.

    75.5 degree STA is an EMBARRASSMENT! Definitely NOT STEEP Dario wtf? Specialized should take a note from Transition regarding bike geo(their STA are almost at 79 degrees).75.5 STA sucks for a super steep climb I just don't understand why they don't make it closer to 79 degrees like other brands are doing. For reference; my 170mm Enduro bike has a 76.5 STA so I can't understand why not make steeper seat tubes for XC bikes....they would be unbeatable machines for climbing if they had steeper seat tubes.

      The only one thing, Specialized didn’t copy Trek. Educate yourself, both bikes have completely different suspension design, not to mention shock design

    • @petersafwat8228
      @petersafwat8228 Před 2 měsíci

      @@funLad80 I am very sure they are different and thats only cause specialized props realized its so hard to fully copy the trek so they decided to keep it simpler....but be honest they look too similar and thats why people say the spec is a copy even tho technically not and linkage and so on

      The Epic WC and Epic 8 are both current and separate models in the lineup. WC replaces the hardtail and this bike fills the gap between that and the Evo.

      I'm pretty sure plenty of people riding in belgium for example are happy with the supercaliber. Also many XC rider are more into some inbetween gravel/mtb thing, the kind of people that ride a hardtail, without dropper. There are customers for those.
