This video will walk participants through how to Scan and OCR a PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Did you know you can find detailed walkthroughs and guides on my site at: theaccessibili...
The only issue I'm having is that is flipping one page sideways. The page has a chart, but so do some of the other pages....but for some reason, it only flips this one page sideways.
You have to do every page one at a time
Thank you man i couldn't find the OCR button
Sometimes it likes to hide! :)
this looks pretty helpful.
Thank bro highly appreciate it ✊🏾
Of course!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
is the ocr in adobe acrobat pro dc runs online or offline in the app? does it need internet connection to run ocr
Edit: It's offline for me as of 2015 version
I have no idea!
So how do you scan a letter Doc and not have it crop smaller as a letter sized in pdf Letter page, but stay as a full letter page?????
Umm what. Lol
@@TheAccessibilityGuy Well is it apparent that your channel is a useless uninformed one. What a looser.
I like the vid. If I click on "open" San & OCR it just says wait for it to install for it to be used. This promt doesnt go away however. Now I can not use it.
Best regards :D
Hmm. Are you ok Mac or PC? Also, do you have a file open when you click it?
@@TheAccessibilityGuy i have a PC (Windows 10). I have the file open before i click on "open"
@@SergeantHelm I'm honestly not sure. You can send me a screenshot or video shawn@theaccessibilityguy.com and I can try to help troubleshoot further.
@@TheAccessibilityGuy it is a German account so I don’t think you will understand what it will say :(
can i chage any text?
As long as the text is recognized using the OCR feature yes.
Hi, just a quick question. Which of the OCR programs are you recommanding in the following case:
After an 2-month intensive language course in Mexico I have more than 300 handwritten pages with vocabulary lists . So the left side of the page is in Spanish and the right side in English . In an act of cleaning my shelves I recently scanned all these pages (with an industrial scanner) and now I have a few pfd files on my computer. Now I'd like to use a well working OCR to get the handwritten mega list into an Excel file . Any suggetions for OCR on handwriting? Thanks.
Hey there! Adobe acrobat is not the best tool for handwriting. You will have better options with a program called abbyy finereader. Here is a playlist of videos for that program: czcams.com/play/PL2GnpAhfNiFEHtTc0zQGlso08Wdk_SY66.html
You should know that it is not a free program, and there is a bit of a learning curve.
No, in fact everything is not working. It failed to OCR the small image on the right. Also, I tried on images with background colors, and it failed to even see the text in them. It seems to only work if the background is only white. In other words: Useless
Yeah - the OCR Is not great inside adobe
@@TheAccessibilityGuy The best solution for such problem is to use AI specific software that can decode the text from images whose background is a jungle of colors and shapes, can you suggest something like that?
Too long for a process that can be shown in under a minute. Sorry
Appreciate the feedback
3 minutes booooooooooooooring
This made me laugh! I bet you still learned something 😍
