The net on the Deck is one that plays with my mind. If I have it on deck and ready I feel like I never catch fish, The days its in the compartment or im scrambling to get I end up on a great bite.

It’s hilarious… At the same time I find myself doing some of this. “ I can’t prove it but I know it to be true”. This is how I go about nearly 98% of every aspect in my life! If you know your right then everything else will just fall into place🤷🏼♂️👍🏻at least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Late to the show, but by far my biggest trick is (mostly for saltwater offshore) if I’m having a tough time getting a bite, I’ll put everything down, stop what I’m doing, and eat a birthday cake protein bar. Works every time.

The bananas and first cast deal, ALL TRUTH. For the newer saltwater guys, eat the heart of the first tuna you catch or you’ll never catch another. My buddy and I did our first tuna trip 20 yrs ago, I ate the heart he didn’t and never caught another. Out right gave up tuna fishing 8yrs ago

the first cast superstition is real. if I catch a fish on that first cast, it’s a wrap. nine times out of ten, I won’t catch anything the rest of the day.
I've one superstition: if I open a bait and catch fish on it I don't replace it with an other that is the same model and color and everything unless I lose it, and the thing of the first cast is pretty scary.

I always do the first cast throw always the fish telling other fish fully with you on that the bad mojo so so on that but so right on most on a three day skunk now 106 here in cottonwood AZ all day 0 bites toughest year yet its a comin though Cheers!!! :))

If you call ‘last cast’ you better mean it. It improves your chance of catching one on that cast but if you then fire off more you’re cursing your next trip. Lived by that one since I started fishing.

Enjoyed the fun video. I've been guilty of wearing particular clothes for good juju in the past lol. However I bring bananas all the time on my boat and one time I took bananas on a 30 passenger boat charter trip without knowing the banana superstition and outfished everyone and took the pot for big fish and most fish 🤷

It's all about the hat. Keep wearing the same hat when the bite is hot until the hat runs out of luck. Then I switch hats to let the other one recharge and repeat.
My secret is to eat McDonald’s breakfast, slam a 20oz Rebull, get to the lake and go to my favorite spot, get in the water, shit my brains out then start casting. Always produces

I think there may be something scientific to releasing a fish that kills the bite. I wonder if fish give off fear pheromones which put other fish in the area on high alert.

It worked too well. I lost my net, casted off all my baits, I smell terrible, I got a ticket from the DNR for poaching fish, and I have a potassium deficiency. At least I caught 24 12 pounders though.

In my experience the first cast thing is more related to the fishing spot. The day can be salvaged by moving to the other end of the lake and fishing a different technique..
I like to smoke a big fat bird leg as soon as I get out on the water.
So, I watched this video and have to throw this in. First, bananas have a strong acid that acording to a friend from a university near me that will not come off for days even if you wash your hands or the surface it touches. Second, fish , just like all animals release a fear pheramone, so yeah keep in the live well, or take them done the shore line and drop them off.
Third and most important, if a friend has bad juju, sage will not work, it has to be a full exorcism or just stop being friends with them(the third is not to be taken seriously but i have left friends on islands of the lakes i fish 🤣😂)
that's why I always wear my black and red basketball shorts and my working class zero hoodie the fish just know they always want to eat the cooler guys bait lol.

No it isn't I've caught 6 to 7 fish back to back after a first cast catch an had times where I didn't catch shit so its a draw of luck an i'm talking on bigger baits not small ones so like he said its superstition if u believe u believe if u don't you don't. I do believe in not letting other people use my lures or rods or reels cause I feel like there gonna give it back luck or end up losing or breaking rod or lure.
