  • In Fascism: A Warning, former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright draws on her experiences as a child in war-torn Europe and her distinguished career as a diplomat to provide a personal and urgent examination of Fascism in the twentieth century and how its legacy shapes today’s world. A Fascist, observes Madeleine Albright, “is someone who claims to speak for a whole nation or group, is utterly unconcerned with the rights of others, and is willing to use violence and whatever other means are necessary to achieve the goals he or she might have.”
Fascism, as she shows, not only endured through the twentieth century but now presents a more virulent threat to peace and justice than at any time since the end of World War II. The momentum toward democracy that swept the world when the Berlin Wall fell has gone into reverse. In many countries, economic, technological, and cultural factors are weakening the political center and empowering the extremes of right and left. Contemporary leaders such as Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un are employing many of the tactics used by Fascists in the 1920s and 30s.
Fascism: A Warning is a book for our times that is relevant to all times. Written by someone who has not only studied history but helped to shape it, this call to arms teaches us the lessons we must understand and the questions we must answer if we are to save ourselves from repeating the tragic errors of the past.

Why are you trying to blame Secretary Albright for George H. W Bush's policy's? If that's the Iraq War that you seem to be talking about but Saddam Hussain was forced out of Kuwait in that War, but Saddam Hussain had plenty of Cash floating around and Humanitarian Aide was going into Iraq that was actual Food and Clothing instead of Cash, unless Saddam had been selling it all but it's weird that you didn't mention George W. Bush's Iraq War, it's funny how people want to point fingers at people who weren't in power at the time that a policy was in place or even just mislead people who aren't old enough to know what you're talking about, but it's easy enough to check what was said considering that the 60 Minutes Interview will still be on the CZcams Channel, but there's plenty of Trumpists that come out with some really weird claims, oops sorry Conspiracies, Lies and Outright 🐂 💩 all because someone said something Mean about the Orange Fürhrer or even asked him "A Tough Question," but the Orange Fürhrer is such a Snowflake ❄❄❄🧙🧙‍♂️❄ it's a wonder he hasn't Melted like the Wicked Witch ❄❄🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤢🤮💀👻

Voting in better congresspersons only works in short campaign election periods that do not require much
money. Big donors get what they want, regardless of who is elected, in situations where candidates must raise huge amounts of money in order to compete. Our Congresspersons are dependent upon rich people and wealthy industries who expect and get what's good for them and bad for the rest of us. That's why Congress ignores the people.

Philip Kotler in a management textbook discusses the problems Google has faced with the European Union regulations, in his 2019 edition of Principles of Marketing on the international landscape. Noticing this interview took place in 2019 with former Secretary of State Albright, and the progress of the need for guardrails on AI and SOURCES of information, will there a happy ending to this saga? At the end of the day as a mum with 3 children, and in my 40s who had The Audacity to Hope, living in the Global South Peacefully for 48 years...I know most people are more interested in wealth creation for the most obvious reasons - nutritious food, access to Healthcare, safe communities, access to education through AI or not...being able to earn an income, and have toys hops and Lego and activities that our children can participate in, including happy teachers who enjoy nurturing children.

Are you a Russian Troll Bot?🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ You should look into Slobadan Milosevic and what he did to the Ethnic Albanians and how he accused NATO of the Crimes that his own Troops had done to blame the other side, just like Vladimir Putin's Russian State Propaganda TV Stations have tried to do to the Ukrainians, how about Nicolae Ceauesecu of Romania? And Donnie Tiny Hands? He's a Facist Dictator wannabe, did you support him? Because the only people that don't recognise that he's a Fascist are his MAGAT'S, but again and again certain types of people don't understand how Governments work, or the UN and the NATO Alliance or that the Russian Influencers spread Conspiracies, Lies and Outright 🐂 💩 to demonise people who aren't to blame for what happened, now Hungary has a Fascist Dictator and just like Adolf Hitler, Viktor Orban tried to force the Hungarian Jewish Community to register with his Fascist Regime and the Rethuglicans have just held CPAC in Hungary without any of the US Press being allowed into the Event, but it's ok because the European Press have been reporting on who was there and pointed out some of Lies that Matt Schlapp tried to put out there to mislead people, people like you it's not like your CZcams has been around for long, March 2021 makes it look suspicious, even more so because you ignored everything that Secretary Albright said despite it being true 😂🤣🤣

With All due respect to Madame Secretary Madeleine Albright and Her memory, just to make clear in 1939 they were no fascists in Polish Government.
Like Czechoslovakia Poland was offered by France and England to Hitler as ,,time catcher'' even in case of Poland after signing with Poland in two separated documents in 1939 contract /agreement of immediate military enforcement in case of Hitler attack . But promised help never came to Poland and as result on Sep. 17 1939 Hitler besides Mussolini had Stalin as partner in crime.

@@scandited2763 Just to make it clear. In 1939 Czechoslovakia, Russia, Bialorus and UPA helped Hitler to invade Poland. Also to make it clear. Till 1795 Poland known as Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - was the biggest , most democratic country in Europe with first on this continent constitution. Thanks to its democracy, free elections, payed by Russia, Prussia our Benedicts Arnolds in 1795 we were attacked from all borders at once. We lost our independence for 123 years. In 1918 as a result of WW I Poland had her independence back but not in ORIGINAL LANDS from 1772 when Polish greedy neighbors made first simultaneous attack. Poland was cut by half in territories/ Places like Grodno where my grandmother was born -Bialorus, Wilno where my grandfather was born -Lithuania, Lwow were my grandgrand mother was born, Tymoszowka where Karol Szymanowski was born, Podole etc were now taken by Russia with its communist propaganda. every time for 123 years Russians stolen and burned some Polish palce something was given to some local peasants to gain thir support when fake referendums came. So between 1918 and 1939 Poland fought for Lwow and some Polish parts of Bialorus. I don't know if you know but UKRAINA - name , comes from Polish word, it means land on the border. Ukraina always was rich land, rich in food . It was known as greenery of Europe and this is why Putin wants it so much.
Now to your words ,,weird shit that happen on it’s territory later, including race and ethnic genocide I think you are referring to Hitler bestial killings of 6 Million POLES and 6 Million Jews . Half of those Jews were Poles. They made a life in Poland , where God rests becouse unlike many believed Poland compering to Spain or Portugal was for Jews much better place to live. But than 1772 came and 1795 with Russian Pogroms. Yes unlike Ukraina, Pogrom is a Russian word.

As a political ideology, there is nothing wring with Fascism. Fascism does not preclude parliamentary election or Democracy. In fact, it can best protect a democracy and parliamentary process that fully serves a people. The word Fascism is now associated with despotism because of a long campaign of propaganda to achieve this. But the word is derived from 'fasces', meaning 'Group', implying strength through unity. The symbol of the bunch of sticks tied together demonstrates a strength that one stick on its own does not have. And what is wrong with this? Every truly despotic group has its cohesion that it relies upon for getting things done. Why not also a benevolent Authoritarian leadership that seeks to really serve the people fairly?
Fascism is for the fair. It stands for strong leadership. Albright is a sneaky, genocidal underling in her ranks. Her book is meant to frighten upcoming generations about Fascism because Fascism is now rising in popularity due to the despotic Left and all of their antics.

You are misinformed. It was originally Mussolini’s political party before it ever became an ideology. Pro-to fascist movements do not live up to their underpinnings as it continues to gain power. It become obvious that it is power for powers sake. The political philosophers begin making sweeping promises, then abandon those principals as they fail to deliver. It is wrong because of the behaviors associated with it. Fascism is not a specific political ideology. It is nondistinctive in that you can not pinpoint a single doctrine. Although many claim to name its core principals, the issue has been that it is inherently opportunistic. It has a habit of stating one thing then turning and doing the opposite. They do this unapologetically and are known for gaslighting . It is associated with this negative things for a reason. Historians and political scientist mark fascist takeover in five stages. Read the historian Robert Paxton’s book or article on the subject. Or look up some commentary on it.

    • @roxyl3610
      @roxyl3610 Před 11 měsíci

Benevolent authoritarianism is a contradiction in terms. The people need to be heard and involved for a government to be legitimate-as the saying goes, if you’re not at the table you’re on the menu. The framers knew a balance was needed between the people and their government, because they’d lived under autocracy in which people were seen as tools for government to use and murder as it arbitrarily saw fit. Also, that government by angels has never happened. Absolute power corrupts, and leaders without input from the people they govern are at best in the dark for making decisions and at work at, as in fascism, see people as things to be exploited, manipulated into anger and fear, and disposed of as desired. Fascism is built on dividing an us against them. It’s for the fair-skinned, but the Nazis were thugs who terrorized and stole valuables. How has it ever been, and how is its ideology even in theory, fair?
Fascism - not all dictatorships but fascism - started with Mussolini in the 20s. Opposition to it is not some recent campaign against an ancient peaceful idea-it’s literally been tried and proven terrible for its entire existence. Communism has been a disaster but at least it’s supposed to work to improve all human lives, purely in theory; fascism doesn’t even claim to aspire to that. Historic examples you don’t agree with are not automatically propaganda. Propaganda is media of misstatements meant to prop up a regime or actions people wouldn’t accept otherwise - art that dehumanizes others to make their murder palatable, for example. Statements that fascists tend to murder people or follow certain patterns to deceive people isn’t propaganda; it’s lived experience.

To Scandited as reply . To make it clear. In 1939 Czechoslowakia, Russia and UPA were Hitler close allies and their armies attacked Poland with Hitler. Till 1795 Poland was known as Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania and was the biggest and most tolerant country in Europe , without Inquisition and with first constitution on this continent In 1795 greedy Prussia, Russia, Austria attacted Poland simultanieusly for the third time since 1772 with help of Polish traitors payed well by them . Poland lost its Independence for 123 years. As a result of WWI Poland won its independance but its original lands from 1772 were cut in more than half. Plus between 1918 -1939 Poland had to fight for Lwow with Russians and regain Wilno. My grandmother was born in Grodno today Bialorus, my grandfather in Wilno, some great uncles in Lwow, Karol Szymanowski was born in Tymoszowka which never came back to Poland after Bolsheviks revolution. So between 1918 and 1939 Poland had to fight with Russians who were trying to claim Lwow and other towns but they belong to Russia only during paritions of Poland and those were Polish lands with universities, castles, churches, synagogues builded by Polish kings. As for your last part of comment , After 1939 6 milion Poles and 6 millions Jews died because Germans believed Hitler, they believed that they have right to kill and still . This is why Putin must be stopped.

and I bet you know nothing about any of these people other than taglines you've read on buzzfeed. I bet you've never listened to a word from people like Peterson. Just goes to show your ignorance. Peterson in fact has argued for LESS government control but you ignore that and lump him into some ideology that wants more governmental control over people. What an idiot.

I believe that Jordon Peterson is not a random phenomenon, he is part of a long program aimed at remodeling the minds of young millennials. There are major changes happening in the world, huge cultural chocks, current and future wars.
