I agree, our two GSD's were also kind and friendly. The male was a policedog and oh boy, he was so smart and welbehaved. And pretty, they are so beautyful dogs. Our little girl Fleur was'n't as intelligent as Ike, she was just an angel with very much hair. Both gave us very much joy, fun and love :)

You forgot their inherent friendliness and faithfulness. - By the way, I never had a German Shepherd but a Hovawart (compare my icon), yet there is a big GSD here in the house and she is sweet as can be. And also I have had several GSD friends - I call these dogs my friends - and each of them was awesome, kind and friendly. Unfortunately, to my knowledge German Shepherds do not live long enough, maybe even hardly more than 10 years. I wish it wasn`t so.

Yes, they are friendly, if they know you. They love attention also. I had one years ago and if I was sitting down talking on the phone, he would put his head under my arm, thus, that I could put my arm around his neck. GREAT DOGS.

Owning a German Shepherd is both an honour & a privilege. It’s a magical moment that despite the work involved makes it all worthwhile. I had one in 1987 which I had to give as at the time we still had quarantine in the UK ( 6months for cats & dogs at your expense I may add). My sister in law bought me a puppy 3 years ago & I get to relive & remember my former friend. Whereas the first one was long hair & weighed only 35 kg; my second one is medium hair & weighs no less than 45 kg. To say that he is adorable is a mild understatement. To train said friend is both a joy and a reward seeing just how fast he picks up what you want him to do. I wouldn’t have any other breed despite some perhaps being more attractive; it’s the temperament that makes them who & what they are. Nothing in my humble opinion surpasses this regal dog. Kind regards

@@sisaymersha8768 You don't know the standard of the race of MR VON STEPHANITZ creator of the race. I invite you to look at his book "the german shepherd in words and in pictures" the first book on the german shepherd. The german sheperd wasn't disabled like those of today
