I just finished watching the final episode of the show Ted Lasso. It's crazy to me that NBC promotional skits could turn into one of the funniest , smartest, and heartfelt shows i've even watched.

Thats true but they weren't delivered near as well in the show are they are here... and unfortunately ted is not as much of a moron in the show as he is here. That sucks because he's more funny in these promos than in the show
@@zact4980 That’s true about Ted. But that would never work over the course of a whole season, let alone the next two seasons that have already been picked up. They had to make him more human, and less of a cartoon character. Season 1 was absolutely brilliant btw.
@@matthewoboyle6010 Oh I agree season 1 was truly great... I have two complaints about the show though, first I wish there was more soccer/football stuff in it. For a show about a coach of a professional soccer team there isnt nearly enough soccer action. And finally I wish ted was slightly more of a moron like in the promos, ala micheal scott from the office. He was a moron and still managed to have heartfelt moments.
@@zact4980 The lack of technical soccer terms is specifically to be more accessible to a wider audience who may not know anything about soccer. I know I was initially intimidated going into the show because I do not know much about soccer, but I am happy that I truly enjoyed it. Also, another reason could be that, in order to reflect Ted Lasso's personal lack of knowledge in the show, we as viewers experience that with him as we are not taught much about the technicalities surrounding the sport.

I can't believe they even kept the same actor for Coach Beard for the show...
The world has changed so much in the last 10 years. Adapting the character into a genuinely nice guy was the masterstroke. Same jokes, completely different feel in a completely different world. To see a comedy promote the values of kindness and team spirit felt so refreshing and rewarding to watch.
That's why the show sucks past the first season and why Seinfeld still racks millions with his 30 years old "no hugs no learning" actually funny show.
I love the subtle change of making Ted Lasso more optimistic and kind. This one is more like Led Tasso

Turns out you can take a tiny skit of a video… and turn it into one of the greatest TV shows of all time. And the fact they kept Coach Beard as the same guy is pretty awesome.

However, in the college and lower levels such as high school, there are no ties for traditional reasons.

Ted Lasso has quickly become my number 1 favorite tv show, it makes me so happy, but has so much incredible depth to it and character development as well. Truly top notch.

Four weeks ago I had Spinal Fusion surgery and have been laid up for several weeks now but finally starting to get around. I am 70 years old but extremely active don’t look or act my age and still working so being laid up and not feeling like doing anything was very hard for me. So I watched lot of TV which sucked and started looking around when I found Ted Lasso and thought would give it a try. I binged on this show and watched all episodes in three days. Only episode didn’t like was one where Coach Beard went on his night out didn’t seem like it fit in. Every other episode was great and I never laughed and teared up so much. Can’t wait for season 3.

I really like the direction they took him in the TV shows. The kind, sweet and optimistic Ted Lasso is so likeable. This guy is more like a traditional coach. You can't help but root for the version from the series.

I had no idea this was a skit from years ago. Ted lasso is a great show! I know they are wrapping everything up with it, but I hope they come up with a good story to keep it going…only if it’s good but I think the finale is going to be perfect
