    Dude!! I would have NEVER thought to think of flipping the breaker!! I was so worried that it was something more, but no, just a simple flip of the breaker and it works PERFECTLY!!! You my friend are a life saver!!!! Thank you so much for making this video!!!!!!!

      same here. I've been 4 months w/out my dryer heating, thinking I needed to save up money to get it fixed or replaced. Just now flipped the 30 fuses and voila heat !!!

    We just bought a brand new dryer/washer. I was doing laundry today, and I noticed there is no heat. I was hysterical that they sold me a dryer that didn't work. I "barked" at my boyfriend to call the "kid" who sold it to us and tell him to bring a unit that "actually works". So, um...then I googled "My dryer isn't heating", and you were the FIRST video that popped up that was under 5 minutes. I watched, and ya know, I didn't even THINK about the breaker. lol Flipped it, now my brand new dryer is hot. Oy! Do you ever feel like Chrissy Snow? Yeah, I'm there. LOL Thanks, Keith! YOU ARE AN ANGEL!!!!!!!!!

    Thank you!!!! My commercial dryer had no heat whatsoever. Still worked otherwise. I reset the breaker for 30 seconds and voila! Hot air. I think the California heat (100+ degrees) in the garage + the dryer running created too much heat and triggered a safety feature
    Thank you again! You saved me a good chunk of money

      @@Appliancefactoryout when flipping the breaker does the dryer need to be plugged in or not?

  • @bekind2047
    @bekind2047 Před 10 měsíci +1

    He is absolutely right. Flip the breaker first for at least 10 seconds.
    On another video it was said 99% its the heating element. My dryer is from 2018. I bought the pieces - exchanged them - same, no heat. In another video it was said either unplug the plug or flip the breaker. So the plug was nearer to me. Nothing changed. Before going to buy a new dryer I gave the flip of the breaker a chance. Now it's working again. So obviously older houses have older wires and I assume the dryer senses the thinner wires in older houses and shuts off the heat - just in case. If its happening again I will exchange the wire in the house according to todays code.

    These are good starting points. I’ve replaced my heater because it was out. It was 8 years old before it went out, and the element had deteriorated. Unfortunately the After market heaters don’t last long. Went out again after 10 months. I have no issues with the vents, it’s just that those heaters are cheaply made. Looking into an OEM part this time. But not sure if that will last long either. I’ve read that didn’t last much longer.

    2nd step did it for me. Pulled vent off, found heat coming out the back, cleaned the flex hose and stuck a hanger down the permanent vent. Found sock from previous tenants, 2 years prior. It always took us 2 dries to dry completely. Maybe it will dry on the first run now. Thank you.
