I am in Alaska and I start on the 4th. Thank you for this info! I will definitely watch the other videos! I have 3 kids and work full time at a hospital. This helps a lot!
Hey girl!!! That’s awesome! Congrats! It’s so exiting to start school. We are already finishing up week one! I wish you the best of luck! You got this mama!! 👏🏼💕
Its so sweet of you my dear. God bless you as well. Thank you so much for all the info.
I really like your energy I had to subscribe lol. I am doing my prerequisites for Nightingale College and I appreciate the information Thank you! 😊
Thank you, wishing you the very best in your studies. All your hard work will pay off You will make an awesome nurse :)
Girl! Omg thank you for this video!!!!! I have been trying to do my own research on Nightingale but I couldn’t seem to really find anybody’s honest opinions. Luckily, I live here in Salt Lake (don’t mean to brag) so hopefully I’ll find it a little easier since the main learning hub is here but oh gosh, thank you so much. You’ve just earned a new subscriber.
Hey girl! Thank you so much for watching! I truly appreciate it. That is so awesome that you live in Salt Lake! I’ve actually been there before and it’s so beautiful. When do you start nightingale! If you’ve started already how do you like it so far?
Yes, please post a video about the different accreditation’s. Thank you for all the info!
Posting this video later today!!!! Thank ton for watching love! I truly appreciate you. 💕🙏🏼
You have gave me the motivation that I needed. Your just like me, it hard to get into nursing program around where I live. Hopefully the LPN program will be cheaper
I currently attend nightingale college as well! I absolutely love how conveniently it fits into my schedule as a working mother! It’s really great!
That’s awesome! I also love the flexibility and how I can do the classes online whenever I need to. How long have you been going to Nightingale? So far so good for me. I have one more year and I can’t wait!
@@thepinknurse_ I started last May! My full year is coming up after this semester! It’s definitely very demanding, but so exciting! I’m so happy to find other nursing students that go to Nightingale too!!!
If you don’t mind sharing how do you afford the gap cost? I’m worried loans won’t cover it.
@@ErisxNyxx they will finance the remaining if you can’t finance it.
How long is the bsn program,
I love your review!!! This is so real I’m a LVN in CA in my second semester 💕💕💕💕
Where you doing your clinical? In California or different state
How is it so far?
❤thank you so much so much for this. This school definitely meets my requirements as a working single mom.
Thank you so much for this!! I start in August in Las Vegas!
Thank you for this video I’ve been waiting for a review for this school I’m currently taking my prerequisites for the nursing program here.
Hey girl! That is so exciting. I am so happy for you. Try to do your best as much as you can in your pre-reqs. Especially anatomy and physiology those are the foundation of all the classes in nursing school. I wish you the best of luck! You got this. ☺️💕
@@thepinknurse_ Awww THANK YOU SO MUCH. I WILL BE PRAYING for you and your journey as well 🙂🙂
Would love for you to make a video on accreditation! I think it’s very important for people to know their options so they can make an informed decision before spending their time and money.
Hey love! Thank you so much for watching I truly appreciate it. This is an excellent idea! I am going to make this video very soon. I’ve actually been doing a lot of research on this topic. I am interested in starting a Masters program after I get my BSN at Nightingale. And the accreditation is very important. I gathered some information and I can’t wait to share with you guys!
Thank you 🙏🏽 for the information.
I currently attend Nightingale College and love it. I attended another college here in Vegas that was $90,000.
Yes!! It’s a good school. And you are right there are some nursing schools at here charging an arm and a leg for that degree!
@@thepinknurse_ Thanks for the review video. I couldn't find anything about Nightingale at all.
@@BerettaBreeze yes! Of course!!! I’ll make more videos about how to study in this program because it’s very different than a traditional nursing program. Good luck to you love! You got this!
@@thepinknurse_ I'm so nervous. I'm suppose to May 2021.
You got this love! 💕👏🏼
Hello, I was wondering what the remote track learning option looks like or if you know anything about it. How often would you have to travel to different locations?
Thank you for this review. I definitely looking for a video how you study and take notes especially since I take foundations and pharmacology 1 next semester😊 also do you make study guides?
Thank you for watching love!!! I will work on a study video! I think that’s the most important skill is learning how to study efficiently.
@@thepinknurse_ thank youuuu
Hello, I saw that you mentioned NG has their own entrance exam, how would you know what to study for in order to take the entrance exam? Thank you!
Hi there! Congrats to you on your accomplishments. I had a quick question in regards to sitting for the NCLEX. Once graduated are you required to sit for the test in the state you completed your degree in or are you able to transfer the acceptance to test to another state like LV to CA?
Hey girl!! I was just talking about this to a co worker! Once you are eligible to sit for nclex, you can take it in the state you are in or you can take it in another state. I have a co worker who took he’s in Arizona instead of nv. My classmate is taking her is CA. You would have to look and see the regulations of each state. Good luck to you love!
I’m planning to do LVN to BSN and it’s around 60k cost 16 months that’s what I’m told if I take pharmacology and other courses for advance placement
I am interested in Nightingale and am so thankful to have found your page. I am a little bummed that they require covid vaccine, not sure if I love that.
Hey girl! Thank you so much for watching my video. I truly appreciate it. I know a lot of people are hesitant about the Covid vaccine. And the fact that it’s mandatory at Nightingale is a little turn off to people. But I have to get vaccinated for work either way because I work at urgent care with Covid patients. So it wasn’t a big deal to me. But I hope everything works out for you even if you find another program. Let me know if you need any help with anything. Good luck to you! ☺️💕
Thank you for that info! Was wondering about the Covid shot and definitely not for me, thanks!
Did you have the hardest time getting help with admissions. I’ve done me application a month ago and literally playing phone tag with them at this point.
Hi is there any CZcams videos for the videos you must upload & perform in front of instructors?
Starting the program in may. I would love for you to make more videos tailored towards how you survived school at nightingale specifically and how your experience is 😊
Omg be prepared 😂😂 because there is WORKKKKKKK!!! This school has its perks, but honey they have their BS too!!
Congratulations on starting nursing school! I am super excited for you. Nightingale is a good school. It’s not a perfect school. But it definitely gets the job done. I would love to make more videos a Nightingale. I’m noticing a lot of my subscribers are Nightingale students. I’m actually working on some more content coming up next week. I’m super excited to share more with you guys! I’m in my last year at nightingale and I can’t believe how fast time has gone by! Wishing you the best in your new journey! Let me know if you need any help! 🙏🏼💕
Thank you for your review. I have been searching every where. I am planning to start in 5/2021. I live in California. How are you liking the clinical experience?
Thank you so much for watching love! I have been at Nightingale College, for over a year now. I like it so far. It’s really hard to learn on your own, but once you get a good routine down it’s very achievable. I like the fact that I can still manage a full-time job. It’s stressful at times, but that’s how nursing school is supposed to be. I wish you the best in your new journey! Let me know if you need any help.
Great video! What are the requirements for passing a nursing class? Do they go by a stricter grading scale? For instance to recieve a B you need to get between 85%-92%.
The requirements at nightingale is to get an 80% on every assignment. If you don’t receive and 80% they will give you remediation. Your overall grade to pass the class needs to be a 73%. Which I think is pretty lenient. I know some programs that you need a 90% to pass the class.
@@thepinknurse_ thanks ♥️
Good thanks
Thanks!
Did anyone have issues with the technical writing class?
A few questions! How would I afford this program? Besides FAFSA, would I need a private loan? I have classes I’m transferring in. Also, I will be an LVN fairly soon and I live in CA. Vegas is a ways away, so how would that work? Lastly, is it accredited? Can we find employment after the program, or will it be limited? You are the ONLY CZcamsr I have found that has made videos related to Nightingale. I’m contemplating ADN & BSN.
Hey love! I’m sorry for the late response but here is the answers to your question:
1. If Fafsa won’t cover all of it which most likely it won’t, you will need to get government loans or private loans.
2. The more credits you can transfer in the better and the lower the cost.
3. If you are an LVN you can test out of some nurses courses which shortens the program for you.
4. It is nationally accredited by CCNE.
5. I know several nightingale graduates that are working as RNs here in Las Vegas.
6. I say go for your BSN!!
I hope this helps 💕🙏🏼
I know this is old so for anyone else: you are responsible for traveling to clinicals. The school will try to get you to the closest one, but it’s more likely you will be sent anywhere in the country. This only applies for CA students or any other students who don’t have clinicals in their state. You will be told a few weeks in advance where to go, and will do your clinicals in a cluster. For example:
Arrive Sunday, clinicals Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday off, clinicals Thursday and Friday, go home Saturday. The day of the week that you arrive etc might be different, but the structure and the day off in the middle should always be the same (according to my counselor).
Currently, a motion has reached the senate level to approve clinical sites in California for online schools, so the clinical situation may eventually change.
Is their LPN program CCNE accredited? Thanks for the video❤
Is it open for LVNs in California?
Honestly the price isn’t that bad. A local private nursing school that’s a 3 year program is 150K that’s not including FAFSA tho.
I agree. It’s not as bad as I’ve seen other schools charge. And it’s an investment in your future so I believe it’s worth it. Thanks for watching love! I truly appreciate it! 🙏🏼💕
@@thepinknurse_ I looked into it and it’s cool and all but I have a very difficult time with online learning since I can’t find a home environment a learning environment so I enrolled in Stanbridge nursing school
@@Jakupdoesnt that’s awesome!! I totally get it! Online learning is very hard!!! I’m happy you found a nursing program that fits your needs! Good luck to you! You got this! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I just want to reaffirm the cost. It was $59,000, for four semesters which were purely nursing classes correct? 28 months for BSN
Yes! My cost was right around that, for three semesters. Only nursing course. I didn’t have one English course I need to take. But everyone’s financial situation is different. It depends a lot of how much financial aid you have and how many credits your transfer in. I hope this helps. Thanks for your comment! Good luck to you! ☺️💕
Is this school nationally or regionally accredited??
Since in person clinicals are on hold are they doing skills virtually? How do they teach things like starting IVs and giving injections?
So we do programs called shawdow health and sims chart. Shadow health teaches us assessments and how to interview the patients. It’s like a virtual patients that answers you back. Sim chart teaching us how to chart in an EMR system. How you would chart in clinical. As far as IV and catheters. We literally just watch videos. They send us all the materials through the mail then we have to perform our skills on a banana or this fake skin thing. It’s not ideal, but at least our hours are counted and school isn’t paused.
I ran across your videos when I was about to reapply to my previous program. This just seems like a better fit since we are a military family. I would have to fly to Vegas for the clinical portion but that doesn't bother me. Thank you for for sharing your experience.
Yes! It’s a good fit for students that need to work or that can possibly move. I’ve never heard of a nursing program that’s so flexible. I hope it all turns out well for you love. 💕
Do you have to sit at certain time for the classes or is it just you checking in for assignments? Didn’t really understand that part
Working mom but would be interested but live in California
I live in California and attend the Vegas campus. You only sit at certain times for EL (Clinical) Activities like the VCBC (Virtual Case Base Clinical) . Most of the homework is due by 11:59 P.M. MST Sunday, unless it’s a discussion post those are due by 11:59 P.M. MST.
Hey love! Thank you so much for watching! The reason I said it’s good for working moms is because you can do the didactic part online whenever you have time. The only time you have to sit in front of a computer for a certain amount of time is during your clinical hours. I hope this helps!
@@ChanetNiicole I’ll be very glad if you could explain it more to me as I live in Palm Springs California and I’ve been looking at going to this school as well. Thank you. 😊
@@thepinknurse_ Thank you for this video, so the clinical is on online not at clinical site?
@@elizabethmantey450 everything is remote right now, this semesters clinicals were online due to COVID. Originally, clinicals would be on site, didactic (theory) is online.
Is the test to get in hard?
U look good
Wait no lectures?! I was strongly considering this school until I heard no lectures. How do they expect us to learn anything. That’s definitely a huge con for me
from my expereince, lectures are usually group work and listening to instructors go off topic about their hospital expereince. i don't get much from lectures.
My issue is traveling outside California. That is a safety issue. It’s hard to go to another state without someone with me. Did you have to travel outside of Nevada?
Did u ever figure this out I’m on the same kinda space with it
I have a question before Covid 19 how were your clinical day? Was it a 12 hour day and a 4 hour day. Was it 2 days a week?
Hey love! Thank you so much for watching!!! I truly appreciate it. Unfortunately when I started my clinical portion of the program that’s when Covid hit. It was around April of last year. So I actually haven’t been able to do in person clinical at all. All of my clinicals have been online for an entire year!! 😩 It’s not ideal and it’s not what I would prefer. But at least I’m getting through the program and they’re giving me the opportunity to complete my hours online. I’m hoping that next semester I will be able to do in person clinical. As to I feel that is so important in my learning experience. If you have any other questions please reach out I’ll try my best to help you. Sorry for the late reply Love.
@@thepinknurse_ Congratulation, I really appreciate your honesty. I think that you are a great inspiration.
West cost is 200,000 here in north Hollywood California
In San Diego, an associates of arts (never heard of a nursing art degree) is $80k. And community college is basically impossible to get into the way they award points, especially based on social factors. I’m an LVN, have a 4.0, and have no chance of getting in without spending years getting a degree and becoming fluent in an approved language, and even then I might not.
I was told by them that they don't have an ADN program? Now I'm confused.
that's what they told me as well, I guess they discontinued the ADN class. please post if you fined any better information about the ADN program. I am also only interested on their ADN program to reduce my traveling time each time we have clinical. I also have 3 kids and work for full time.
Hello! I believe they did discontinue the ADN program.
They do only for in school meaning you have to live in Utah I believe
I payed 28k they screwed me said they added classes and took away classes so it came out to like 33k
I’m so sorry you went through that. I have heard of them overcharging. This has never happened to me personally. But I do see how frustrating that could be. I hope everything works out for you.
Nightingale is a joke so far but it’s way cheaper then anything in California. An accelerated program here is like 150k
Hello! Yes I agree Nightingale is not the best program out there. It’s really hard to learn on your own. But I’m thankful for the school because it allowed me to work full-time and be single mother while in school. I don’t know if any other program would’ve made that possible. I hope you find a program that fits your needs. Good luck to you!
Is there a entrance exam like the teas?
No, it’s just a basic entrance exam.
Do you have to be vaccinated in order to do the clinicals (specifically the COVID vaccine).
I spoke with an admissions rep recently. She said yes. There are no exceptions.
Yes! It’s mandatory to have the covid vaccine to start clinical.
About how much do you pay out of pocket each semester?
Right now. I am not paying out of pocket because I’m getting financial aid, and my Pell grants are covering most of it until I graduate. I know some people are paying out of pocket. It depends on your specific situation. I hope that helps love. Good luck to you!
Do i need to be an lpn to apply?
Nope! You do not need to be an LPN to apply!
Hello. How can I reach you for more questions? I'm considering going there also.
I hope you were able to contact someone at the school. Did you still have questions?
What are the requirements to get excepted
Hey love!!! Nightingale has an entrance exam that you need to pass and transcripts from previous colleges if you are transferring in credits.
Are u in thr ADN program or BSN
I am currently in a BSN program at Nightingale College. Thank you so much for watching love! 🙏🏼❤️
Its 69K Walking
in with nothing
I believe it’s around 70K. Don’t quote me on that because their price might have changed since I started.
Do you have to take a teas or hesi to get in?
Hey love! No teas or hesi. Nightingale has their own entrance exam. It wasn’t too bad. Good luck to you! 💕
Dream to be a nurse? Lmao wtf
