Seems like it's pretty common for Dell batteries to swell up and reduce touchpad functionality - my old XPS15 9550 had the same issue. Luckily, this is easily fixed. - Věda a technologie

Hey man, you can buy one from IPC Computer in Germany - they specialize in laptop replacement parts. I am Europe based but they should ship anywhere.

My M15 battery can't be detected. charging got stuck at 3-10% only.

can I replace the battery by myself without any experience? Because my m15 can only sustain like 10 min or so. I treat it like desktop now.

When i replace battery then plug in to charge there show error not identify not charging
If you removed your battery and don’t presently have a spare bought, would re-sealing the exposed parts with the back of the computer be the recommended option?
You can, but it would be fine to leave it exposed until you receive the part.
@@hoon5630 Alright. I’d rather keep it covered for now. Also would it still be able to boot up if it’s plugged in to the charger. I tried that and basically got the same result as when I tried to boot it up with the swollen battery, the keyboard lights lit up, then powered back off.
@@hoon5630 if it’s plugged in, battery out, and still won’t turn on, is that a problem?
@@calvo7452 it wont turn on without the battery. the battery is needed to complete the power circuit.

Not sure, but definitely not at full capacity. There is software that will limit power draw if a battery percentage is below a certain level.
