  • *As of August 1st, 2017, this thing is still running! They're amazing well made.
    This is a review for "The First Years" brand baby bottle warmer, available at multiple retail stores and Amazon. Feel free to leave feedback, ask questions, and of course, make your own choice, but I like the thing!
    Simple reminder... when you read reviews on something, always take the time to think critically about them, sometimes you'll find that other people can be wrong about a detail that they do not understand properly.

    I got one of these from my friend and I'm missing the water vial with the times on it. Well I had it but I think it got thrown out by accident. Hoping I can figure out how to use it without that!

      Sorry for taking so long to respond. I rarely get on this account lately. You should be able to find a way around that with no problem! I'd recommend getting one of the small medicine cups for kids with the cc/ml measurements, similar to what often comes with childrens liquid tylenol. Start low and see how long it takes. Just remember that 5 minutes is the absolute longest they are supposed to go at one time, and you need to give it a 10 minute break between uses. They get really hot and overdoing it will damage it, just like a car engine overheating or any other electric device.

    Question I just bought one for my daughter due in the next 3 months (I plan ahead lol) anyhow I went to go try it out and the light automatically turns on the second I plug it in as well as it doesn't turn off have you had this problem with this

      Ibwouldntbworry about what the light is doing as long as it works correctly. Companies make tiny changes all the time, like when the light turns on and what color it'll he at different times. So I suggest plugging it in and putting a very tiny bit of water in it to see if its heating when it starts. If it does that every time, then something is wrong and you should probably exchange it.

    Do you change out the water with each bottle that your warm up or do you re use water??

    • @sycabo4450
      @sycabo4450  Před 7 lety +2

      There is no need to change out or reuse water. Basically, the unit works by boiling off every drop of water you put into it. It automatically shuts itself off when all the water has boiled off as steam!

    How many minutes do you suggest to heat 2 ounces of milk?

      Sheena is right, it uses water, just less than some others on the market.

      You are absolutely right. Btw, we still have it, and it's still working just like it was new. I have started another channel just for this type of stuff, and I'll be making a new video for it. I cant speak highly enough, because they work great and they're built to last, for a great price!

    • @sycabo4450
      @sycabo4450  Před 7 lety

      Yeah, we don't keep it underneath cabinets. It sits more in the open so that the steam can dissipate easily into the air.

    How many minutes do i put for 4oz wide neck bottles?

    • @sycabo4450
      @sycabo4450  Před 6 lety

      Shsv Bxhyd that's something you have to try on your own and get the hang of. Described in the video what I was doing at the time, and for what it's worth, a basically full 12 oz sippy cup won't warm up all the way to body temp at 5 minutes. The trick is to warm some in it yourself and taste it. If it feels warm in your hand, but you drink it and can't really tell if it's hot or cold, that means you got it just about perfect, so remember how much water used and just slowly adjust up from there as your kids appetite grows. You maybe could even use a typical thermometer in it til you get it right.

    It is easy to clean rather than the avent

    • @sycabo4450
      @sycabo4450  Před 6 lety

      jmie78 absolutely! My mother-in-law picked up one of them that is styled that way and they're much more complicated. These, just just basically wipe them out and clean up the basket. Easy!
