- I'm building a parlor guitar for the Great Guitar Build Off 2021! In this video I complete most of the detailed fiddly parts of the construction of the guitar (binding, purfling, end graft, frets, and neck fitting).

That’s pretty cool the neck attachment you came up with I didn’t understand at first what you were doing but then I said Ahh Haa**** A Bolton neck without any glue.👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏👨🏻🦯

The neck slot turned out nice and clean, but yes it's a pain to cut end-grain like that.

Hey thanks! It's actually a VW Westfalia in the garage at the end. Hard to tell, with only the bottom 2 ft of it visible.
@@BWorks ok, if you look up early (68-71) or so fist spiders you’ll see a very similar wheel/hubcap . Cheers
Right at this minute I have a Republic Parlor Guitar. I love it but I wonder if I could make my own how it would compare. It's a beautiful little guitar. Maybe if I made my own, and put more effort into building it, it would sound even better. I want to make one but where do I start? I have next to no wood working tools. What do I need? Is it even possible with little tools?
With no tools, your best bet would be to check out a guitar kit. Stewmac and Lmii sell them. Solo Music Gear sells a parlor guitar kit. Check out Stewmac's guitar repair videos, Robbie OBrien, Ted Woodford, and many others on youtube. The Guild of American Luthiers is a great resource as well.
