@@Samaraazzz hey girl look to be honest i only did 4 days look the first day was hard not gonna lie bcz u always hold ur phone to check like u used tool but u wont find any apps of social media but for the next 3 days even if its short period i promise it changed a lot it makes u go back to feel like childhood no reels no tiktok your day will feel more longer and able to do many activities more that u can imagine u will have time for yourself and family it makes difference try it u wont regret it

@@Samaraazzz screentime is between 1h 30 min and 2 h 45 min this days bcz i need phone ofc for studies and listening to podcasts and sometimes i just play games when i finish activities it really feels so good without distractions and social media

thank you so much Leyla. since 2021 early begin i was absolutely obsessed addicted unhealthy with my phone and other devices as well.. and that turned out even worse due all the trauma and forever stress slowly taking over my whole entire life and overwhelming emotions or feelings. i couldn’t keep my healthy hygiene or good routine. but now im really changing since i found interest in many different hobbies. in general in life and people. i feel so much better psychically and mentally.

I’m one month late, but I found this video super duper helpful, and I absolutely LOVE your aesthetic!
I would love to give some tips as well so, here we go!
- Custom focus: we all know the original DND option we have, but some people even make their own custom focus (which works like DND), but it has the option of you allowing which app’s notifications to let through and block! How amazing is that?
- Keep yourself busy: this might sound like a bit of a stretch, but it luckily worked for me! You can always go do things like journaling, reading, drawing, exercise etc. If you’re a student, you know that most of the time you’re going to be bombarded with studies (especially if you have exams going on) and, that’s okay! You’ll notice that with the stress of your exams, you won’t be using your phone or social media as much (but don’t get too stressed, alright? This point’s just to tell you to another way to reduce screen time when you have school^^”)
- This one’s a little addition to my first point, but it’s fairly simple: try keeping your phone on DND (if you don’t want to turn off notifications) all day long. That way, you won’t get distracted whenever you’re doing something like completing an assignment or even doing some self-care. I practiced this habit and honestly, I saw a HUGE difference . I observed that I checked my phone after I was done with work and sometimes, I wouldn’t even check it at all!
- Spending time with your loved ones: believe me when I say this, but this has got to be one of the biggest factors which led me to actually reduce my screen time. Whenever we would have a family gathering or so, I used to be glued to my device and not talk to anyone. If you want to put yourself to the test, I say you can even practice during such situations. Put your device down and communicate with your loved ones. That way, you’re spending time in a healthy manner rather than your eyes staring at a rectangular screen for hours on end. If you have a pet, go play with that little cutie!
Alright, these are some of the tips I remember, but I believe there was more than just the ones I’ve listed above. It’s quite a journey, but I am proud to say that now, my screen time has dropped down to a whopping 1 hour 40 minutes each day. If a phone addict like me was able to do it, so can you:)

Thank you so much for creating this video, you do not know how much I have struggled because of my addiction to technology. I would spend 3hrs every morning doom-scrolling on TikTok, constantly looking at celebrities instagram posts which made me insecure and playing games for hours and hours. I would also stay up till 3am playing games calling my friends, watching TikTok and everything too do with social media. I started to realise the impact. My garden were failing, I was getting noting done, I wasn't making my parents proud and I was failing myself. But, I had challenging goals to become academically successful and live a perfect life. But lying in bed, sleeping and scrolling didn't help me do anything. So when I came across this video, I finally stepped up. Thank you so much, sincerely.
